I'd love to. Unfortunately, due to job constraints, I cannot.
I just feel that trying to label portions of 'the government' as 'uncaring and unfeeling' is silly. You cannot take a collective group of people, just following orders and doing their jobs, and claim this is true of every one of them. I can tell you that everyone goes through this process. They don't sit there at the Service Centers and laugh at the public. To think that'they just don't care' is silly. They are human at USCIS and have restrictions on what they can and cannot do.

Well stated and I can understand the frustration, but I don't believe the 'crusade' will work. There is a lot more involvd than you guys seem to think.
Sorry, but the 'crusade' attitude is just wearing on me. I'd prefer to just be patient. But that's just me.

What's not cool about it? It's not what I think. It just sounds as silly as the 'conspiracy' and 'they don't care about us at all' arguements!
(Hey, if you can't laugh at silly things while in this process, you gotta loosen up!)

Not everyone who says 'hang in there's is approved.
On that note, hang in there. It'll come.

I don't believe the service centers make any promises regarding the length of the process. They do provide projections and averages, but nothing concrete. That said, have you contacted your congressman to inquire on your behalf?

Yup. We get 'real service's at California. We sure don't have to wait or have the same lack of communication. We also don't have the frustration of unpredictable progress. Right?
(That was sarcasm for those that didn't catch it.)
We are all still waiting and its not any easier.
Al, since every one of your posts is about how awful things are... and you seem to have participated (started?) more bickering fights on the forums... may I ask why you are here? I noticed you couldnt even offer a simple congrats to another member without entering how you are 'so put out because of the Service Center you are at.' I can understand venting... but is there anything good that you take from your experiences here? I'm not asking to be mean. I am sincerely interested.

And just because Igor's list hasn't been updated doesn't mean K1s aren't being approved. VJ represents a small sample size of the amount of petitions they receive and process.

It must be lovely going through life having all the answers. I'm not sure why I continue to entertain your posts. You will be here every day of your process, being as miserable as possible. I hope for your sake (and for the sake of the people on these forums) that you get your NOA2 before the five month mark. Good luck.
To the people who are waiting 5-6 months, I understand their anger. The anger and outrage from people at the 3 month mark will never make sense to me.

You were the same, but your attitude was completely different. How people deal with situations says a lot about a person. I don't seem to recall you posting all over the boards about how USCIS has it out for you and they're ruining your entire life.
I don't want people think I am excusing the process, or saying that things are working as they are intended and how they should be. They obviously aren't. Things are taking longer than they should, but that's something that's known (or should be!) going into this process. It's just one of those necessary evils in life where we have to roll with the punches because things are completely out of our control. This isn't a perfect world and the things we want often come at the price of a little bit of sanity.
Like I said, the people at five and six months have every reason to be upset and should be doing whatever it is they can to get answers about their case. People who are at 3 months and already in an absolute panic simply weren't prepared for the stress of the process.

I don't expect popularity points here but we ALL made a choice and that choice was to engage in this process. As adults we have been exposed to "the system" more than once so this whole thing should not be a surprise. It's the way of this country we live in. Accept it or be miserable for the rest of your life.
What good is it to CONSTANTLY complain about how VSC is ruining your lives? It's healthy to vent every now and then but when it becomes the ONLY thing you do, bitterness begins to sour you. You are no longer the person your fiancé(e) fell in love with once that happens. Why give someone or something that kind of power over you? It is a choice YOU make. Shoot, for every other choice that's taken away from me in this process, I'd much rather grab hold of what I can control myself.
No I am not the least bit happy that I have been waiting over 5 months but in the grand scheme of things this is but a minuscule amount of time. For THAT I rejoice.

I have no life outside my fiance either. I don't sit here, happy as a clam BECAUSE he's not here. I am miserable without him. However, I refuse to let one thing get me down.
I would rather find hope and be happy because I've found my love.. that focus on being miserable without him. Its hard. We all know this. But I just choose to be happy about other things, like the fact that once he's here, he will never have to leave!
The glass is halfway. Its not 100% full and happy. But it can be easier to deal with if you choose to focus on the better parts. Nothing in life is perfect. But almost everything has a positive part to it if you LOOK for it.

HeatDeath is right. Also, some applications take longer for background checks.
Course, according to some people, they take these boxes and then throw darts at them. After that, they use the selected petitions as seat cushions while they play solitaire and laugh at how they are ruining our lives and plot new 'lies' to tell the general public.

It seems the consensus amongst these fellas is that we are going to somehow turn into miserable grinches. I suppose this is a bad time to remind you that this is not an evolution process. This is simply how we handle stress vs how you do.
You are trying to make a concrete argument against abstract feelings.
    Good luck with that.
And God, Al, do I hope you see NOA2 tomorrow. I might even do a back flip.

I have been waiting to be with him for over two years. So three more weeks? Yeah, I'll be saying the same thing.
Even if it takes 6 to 6 1/2 months... I'm still glad it takes MONTHS and not YEARS. Even if it took three years, I'd be glad it didn't take ten years.
'Reasonable amount of time' is relative. I find 5, 6, 7 months to be reasonable if it gives me the rest of my life with the person I love. Even ten years is better than twenty years.
Sorry guys, but no matter how long it takes, my glass is always half full. Nothing is goin to change that.
