  1. Woo hoo, NVC is sending the case to Copenhagen tonight! I got through after having to call 13 times, then had to wait 6 minutes on hold listening to that terrible music, and got to speak to a very nice lady named Carrie, who gave me my new case number and let me change Peter's address and even said that the case was going out tonight. No AP here, thank God! I can't believe it's finally all moving so quickly. Maybe everything feels quick after you've had to wait over 120 days for something.

Very excited, Peter just might make it here earlier than expected which would be amazing. I haven't seen him since January, the thought that I might see him in less than a month is making my heart flutter. ;)

We still don't have our hard copy of NOA2, which is a bit weird, since it usually takes 2 days at the very most for even standard mail to get from Vermont to New Jersey. If I don't have it by the time his case makes it to Copenhagen I'll just call em up.

Now, how do I do this magical tracking at DHL again? :help:

  2. Thanks, girls! You do have keen eyesight, there are indeed engravings on em. We decided to use the same from his parents' rings. My ring has his name, Peter, and the date, 7-24-10, and his has my name, Christina, and the date as well. His parents have been married for about 30 years, it's pretty cute and inspiring and has given us faith, too.

Best of luck with the forms, UK. Anytime I send a form out I always get nervous the minute it's in the mailbox because I start thinking I might have screwed something up.. always nervous and worrying, me. Thankfully Peter's OCD comes in handy with forms and he doesn't screw them up, but he worries, too. It's a wonder we get anything done as a couple.

  3. Called NVC today, the operator this time was a bit more nice and less angry sounding than the person I talked to yesterday. They're probably going to hate me until it gets sent to the Embassy. The only reason I'm being so annoying/persistent is that my fiance moved house and I need to tell them to change the address before it gets sent to the Embassy, or else we might have more of a delay than we really want.

Poacher, I'd like to buy my own pictures, please.. I don't need my business with the midget getting leaked out, it could ruin my wedding and I've worked WAY too hard to make it perfect.

Speaking of, got the wedding rings yesterday: http://i49.tinypic.com/zjc86o.jpg woo!

    Mine: http://i46.tinypic.com/1jkv1i.jpg

    and his: http://i46.tinypic.com/2lvgug9.jpg

I have to keep myself away from mine, I keep wanting to wear it.

   to all those who are still waiting on their NOA2. It has to come eventually.. use that midget and such! ;)

  4. Looks like my wait will be the longest for an interview. Montreal is the slowest US consolate in the world. I'm looking at timelines & my interview won't be until at least middle of Oct.

I called DOS today to see if my pkt 3 has been sent out & was informed Montreal hasn't even logged us in yet, although they received my app on May 26th!

This part is going to stress me out the most. More than waiting for NOA2...which we still haven't received the hard copy of.

    Ughhhhhhh!!!!!!!! :clock:

Wow, that's horrible. :( I wouldn't think Canada would move so slowly.. I mean, geez, you're not even an ocean away, it can't be that hard to move information up north and back down again. I'm sorry to hear it.. we'll all be in this big ol' thing together until we're all married and old and retired, however long it takes.

  5. LMAO nows who's the geek?? your a VJ geek lmao ( awwwww only joking lol ) I call Ken a geek....he is a whizz on the computer too, knows all the right buttons to push, in more ways then one he he he ;)

Lucky for you about your step dad...step dads can be great cant they? Mines pretty damn awesome too!!!

Come and work at Walmart with me lol, will be fun ;)

Can you work on London for us as well then...oh and lets go kick ####### with Nancys file in VCS while we are at it lol Rawrrrrrrrrrahhhh

Are you scared VSC??? NVC??? London???? you better be lol

We'll kick their butts alright.. I think NVC is in New Hampshire so we'll just go around kicking butt all over New England and then go to Old England and kick London's butt.. might have to hop over the North Sea and have a talk with Copenhagen but so far they seem to be very cooperative bunch.. they'll fear us by the time we get done with London, anyway!

What an incredibly violent bunch we are. But we're cute so it all works out.

  6. Thanks, Nancy and UK, for the support! Thankfully, very thankfully, my step-dad is going to be a co-sponsor for us as he owns his own business and makes $150,000 a year (not bragging, he's worked very hard to get where he's at, yay Bill!) but I would have still liked a job in time for the AOS to be filled out. I've only just graduated college in November, so I haven't had much time to get on my feet yet, like a proper career or anything. I knew all along he'd likely be supporting Peter and I, so it's a very nice net to fall back on. I might have a job as a receptionist in my future. Not the most glorious of jobs, but easy work, I'm friendly and know how to deal with angry people and idiots, it'll at least be something to pass the time.

I worked for the government, so I always knew how lazy us government employees can be and are told to be. We were told to take it slow so that the work stretches out and upper management gets to keep their jobs for longer. I have a degree in music production and management, but the music industry's not hiring, especially at that level, so I've accepted it will take a while to get there. I've done internships in that line of work, but nothing that pays the bills. My fiance, on the other hand, has a degree in Computer Science and Programming so once he is allowed to work in the US it should be fairly easy for him to get a job, my cute little nerd.

Now I'll have more time to be on the VJ forums and more time to harass NVC once they get my packet.. lucky them, right? ;)

Edit: At time of posting this, I've become a Senior Member.. I think I already spend too much time on the VJ forums as is.

  7. Oh my.. I'm sorry to hear that.. It's good that you have someone to sign as co-sponsor.

Definitely. I would be pretty lost without the help of my parents right now since I only graduated college in November, so not much of a chance for me to really get on my feet completely yet. There are worse things to worry about.. like when you'll be getting your NOA2! I'll be rooting for you all the way, I promise!

  8. Its kinda annoying as our four year old had checked the spot with us every day, she understood that it needed to jump to places so that Daddy could come back and pick us up lol....she was totally confused when it didnt jump even though we said it had...lol..bless her. I think its hard enough for us adults alot of the time, knowing its someone else choice as to when we can be back together. For children, well theres no concepted there really. They just want daddy (particularly our four year daughter) its tough when she is crying for him on a night time or when she fell over or is scared and stuff. My boy just wants some "boy" time....like it or not...as much as I try....Im just a "daddy" lol. But Im sure we are all feeling very much the same....frustrated, love sick..lol....desperatly seeking more touches thats for sure lmao. Isolated and completly at the mercy of others lmao. the things you do for love eh?

Fingers crossed some good news arrives soon for us all. Seems to have gone very quite and not much activity right now....we have our medical on the 22 june though...yayyyyy taking the kids for a well deserved trip to London babbbbbby ;)

Anyone got medicals sorted yet then??

Enjoy the time in London! In all my time in the UK I never went.. I think Newcastle was busy enough for me, I'm not one for big cities, but it always looked like a great place. :)

As I said in the Jan thread, I just got some bad news that my job is now coming to an end as of today and we are being "forced to resign" so it looks better on paper. Kiiiiiinda sucks as I was just going to ask them to write a letter stating that I'm employed with them for the Affidavit of Support. :bonk: I might have another job on the way, I hope I can get it before I need to send in the affidavit for the interview.. boo. Back to unemployment. :(

  9. Hahahahaha, I'm ready!! I hope they get it soon. How long do you think it will be before she has her interview? Do you have the embassy need to have your papers before you can do the DS 160?

He. ;) Thankfully, Peter's embassy in Copenhagen moves very fast so we're expecting an interview for late June/early July. A very kind December filer who is also marrying a Dane sent us a scanned version of their Packet 3, so we know what to fill out. We might just work on the forms we can for now to get a step ahead, so that's a good idea.

Kinda bummed right now. Just got a phone call that my job is coming to an end and we're being "forced to resign" because my group of coworkers is no longer needed and we'll be put into a pool of optional rehires to see if we can work for another group instead. Right before I was about to ask if they would write a letter for my Affidavit of Support. Figures, right? I might have another job on the way soon.. and my step-father is signing on as a co-sponsor and he makes over $150,000 a year, so we'll be okay.. but grr.

  10. Thanks, I know it's coming one day!! I'll try not to cry :crying:

It has to! Or else! I'll perform extra special Vermont rituals tonight just for you.

At any rate, I don't think they have it yet, because I just checked the USCIS website and they had touched it again today.. I guess they're sending the NOA2 or sending it to NVC so they probably won't have it until at least tomorrow. Oh well. The insanity shall begin then.

  11. My fiance and I didn't send any chat logs or emails in with our packet, but then again, we've had enough flight itineraries since 2006 to make up for it. I was kind of surprised we didn't get an RFE for proof of a relationship when we basically just sent pictures and flight itineraries -- no chat logs, emails, not even passport scans. So, they can be a little lenient in my experience, but it never hurts to pile it on. Best of luck!

  12. Big Congratulation and happy dancing. You are one step closer to your promised dreams......

Best of luck, I know your NOA2 has to come soon.. we'll be here to dance for you once you do, I promise. ;)

And UK, I'm sorry to hear it'll take so long. :( I heard about London's slow process when it comes to interview dates before and always felt sorry for anyone applying in the UK. There's always a chance you and your fiance can visit each other somewhere along the line, right? You never know.. you might just wind up with a lucky interview date anyway. You've got my fingers crossed for you, too, girlie.

  13. Well folks, it's almost a new week, here's hoping those still waiting see some approvals this week!

We're waiting on our interview date right now. Warsaw 'amusingly' has an auto-reponse system for one of their mail accounts, which at least confirms receipt immediately, while the one Packet 3 is sent to seems to take days for an automated response, very odd. Based on the times of a small handful of others, we're hoping for the response within the week, at least confirming receipt, and possibly with an interview date. Once we have the interview, I'll be heading over for around a month to help pack, get her apartment cleaned up, go to the interview together, and spend some time with family and friends, before coming home together. We're getting antsy, more hurry up and wait, but fingers and everything else are crossed!

I've got my fingers crossed for you and everyone who is still waiting on their NOA2s as well. We're still all in this together, even when we're in the removal of status process!

  14. When you call the NVC, talk to an operator, and ask for your Case Number and if an interview date was set. Then ask for the email address at the US Embassy. Immediately after that, email the embassy and request the current status of your case. I would also call the Immigration specialist at your Congressman's office, and ask if she can send an email to the embassy, requesting an interview date of <fill in your favorite date here).

Thanks as always, Tim! Do I have to give her my receipt number from the NOAs or just my name and Peter's name? I got a thank you card for the Immigration Specialist and was calling to thank her on Friday, but by the time I called she had already left the building at 4 PM.. early weekend. :bonk:

  15. I cannot tell you how much happy this post makes me feel.God I was like ,just give it to her already VSC,she has been waiting long enough now.

Yayyyy for Lohninck

Good luck planning the next steps :)

Thank you so much! (L) (L) It was the biggest relief ever. Now starting tomorrow I'll be calling NVC every day until it's shipped off.. poor NVC operator who has to deal with me!
