I've started NVC process on Aug 17,09 and still waiting for the review and "case complete" part...

Has everybody who started on Auguts got their case completed?.I must be the only one from August who is still waiting : - (

I started in August, got case complete 09/18/09 Hang in there, soon too you will get case complete, and hopefully get a interview assisgned this next go round in October!!

Ok,finallly our case is completed on Sep 28,09.One more step is done...waiting for an interview date now..

thnx for the site..I've actually watched it and got a question.

I thought customhouse does not charge any service fee for any transaction..i thought they make money via exchange rates...

but during demo,there was a service fee of 8.33 GBP(great britan pound)

do they also charge such service fee between CDN&USD transactions?

The second question:is there any advante of transfering big amount of cash as opposite to the small ones....would i get a different rate if i wanna trasnfer 50,000CDN in one shot?

I have a Mazda car and prepering all my doc.s to import.

Do I have to contact to Mazda Canada Headquarther or Mazda,US or can I just go to the any Mazda dealer and ask for the compliance letter?

Also besides compliance letter,what else do we need to import the car?

You need a letter from Mazda, stating the auto was built to US D.O.T. and EPA standards, you can clear thru U.S. customs yourself or hire a broker at the border. I can suggest many customs brokers , you also will need the title and registration.

you must be very lucky in order to get a December inteview... since u will need to wait -4 months between "case complete" and the interview date,I really don't suggest that u should delay DS-230 package....They move very slow anyway..

my only concern would be like what others said...they may question you whether or not you are really genuine in this relation since you were in a same-sex marriege but now you are married to a male..so they may think that u are doing this just to get the the US paper.

u complaining that he hasn't learned one word of English..have u learned his language at all? Learning a new language is not an easy thing..it's a human nature..some people are good at it,some are not....

US has been going tru tough times for the last several years..even the native americans,citizens can't find a job..how could u blame him for not being able to find a job as a new immigrant....what did u tell to him in ur vow when u got married...did you not say that u would love him for poorer and for richer....

how come he doesn't know about ur divorce ideas...did u try everything to save your marriage..did u go to marriage counsellor....

it's not easy to leave ur country and start a life all over again in another country.....but he did it...u guys are married for such a short time.....i'm not judgeing or anything but my understanding is that you were married before..so marriege is not a brand new thing to you....you should've knowen better what the marriege is all about and what your expectation is.....

last but not least..if you decide to divorce him ,do it in a "civil way",don't kick him out from the country....

I'm with STATE FARM in Canada which is actually is a US insr. company.

So when I move down and apply for Insr.I'm hoping they will be able to gather my driving history so I wouldn't be considered as a new driver...

yes that's true they take weeks some time to update the information and they both are separate operations also but you will receive the updates soon. good luck

Yea it is two different operations, call center people only see information that has been inputted into the system. The people working on the cases are different than ones answering the calls. I had the same email in regards to the DS230

I need some help regards to transfering my stocks from Canada to USA.We know that mutual funds are not trasnferable between the two countries;however the stocks are.....

I had bought some stocks a while ago for a long term investment .I don't need to sell them now;I just would like to transfer them to USA and still keep them..

I know that I won't be able to use my curent Canadian brokege once I become a non-canadian resident..

Has anybody needed to do the same thing?if so I need some instructions as to what would be the smoothest way of doing this....
