Hello Everyone! One more June Filer that's hoping to bring his fiance by Christmas. I am just crossing my fingers and biting my nails just like you guys...
Good Luck u all
By Christmas? Wow.. good luck with that happening.. Most June VSC's wont get NOA2 until late OCT or Nov the way things have been going... and then there is the time to get to NVC and then embassy... and te wait to get an appointment on top of that... I am expecting visa sometime Feb at this point... but I agree December would be nice...
I see a lot of March filers and few April filers gettting NOA2 now. So there is a possibility June filers might get NOA2 starting mid October, Add 2 months for the Conulate Process. She might have her visa by December I know this will happen only in the best case scenario. We will see...
Yes yes yes RK!!! we are working on a Mantra.. Visa by Christmas, Visa by Christmas.. yes we can yes we can!!
the normal time from NOA2 to interview for our consulate is 3 months at best and 4 for most... I would have to get an NOA2 by next month to see a christmas visa, best case... it really depends on how fast we can get through VSC and then how fast the consulate can get us through that end... every consulate is different.... it takes a couple of weeks to get from USCIS to the consulate w/o AP.. and here is a link to see what times are normal at the consulate.. recent consulate stats past 90 days
I hadn't seen that link yet. The Lima embassy is only averaging 28 days. WOW. I better have my stuff ready to go. That will be a rush.
The sooner you respond to Pkg 3 the sooner you get interview... You can likely fnd copies of pkg 3 & 4 on here that will give you a heads up of exactly what you will get and what you will need....
when you say packet 3... you mean the stuff my fience has to take to the London Embassy for his interview, right?

Hey guys,
Dani and I just got our NOA2 notice today, (the day before my birthday!) while I am visiting her here in FL. Our I-129f was approved in 146 days.
We'd like to keep this moving along as fast as possible of course, after this trip I likely won't be able to see her again until I get the Visa so it will be a long stretch. (I know not nearly as long as some of the members on here!) We're hoping to possibly be together before Christmas, is this realistic? Any tips/suggestions on what we should start getting prepared for what comes next would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Todd & Dani
Awesome progress! I think VSC is really pushing 'em through .. I wonder how many are approved in their center each month.. Like by country.. or do they split it alpha... We can't wait to get that NOA2 Congrads to you both!! Here's hoping on Christmas Approval for anyone filing June and prior!! woo hoo!

At our consulate they frown on giving a visa without knowing the petitioner is sitting outside..... They actually look for any reason to deny.... "what, he don't love you enough to be here?" They dont actuallly let the petitioner on the property.. gotta wait accross the street at the cafe' or sit on the sidewalk... I wouldn't miss it for anything.... I am dying to see the smile on her face when she walks out of the building... OMG.. got me teared up thinking about it...
What's your timeline Scott?
I'm looking realistically at late Jan to Feb sometime for the visa... 7 or 8 months best case... we have at least 3 months after NVC... and I dont think we will see NOA2 & NVC until Oct or Nov. Any of us June filers that get NOA2 before Oct will be blessed...
can't plan a wedding except the one for her family there.. but that one wont be legal.it will be fun!.. She is going nuts now as they just told her she is getting laid off from work starting at the end of the month and wont have work until Jan at best... So I told her dont sweat the loss of 140 /mo .... hang out with the family and enjoy the time together before she leaves... she looks at it as a bunch of time to be bored and miss me...
I hear ya on the planning part.. it nearly makes you insane. We are hoping hes back in Texas by Christmas .. I pray every day.. I wish her luck in the job!! maybe she can get a nother one before this one goes away!

More good news Aya! I hope DHL does what you need them to do...
Thank you Scott
So John and I have been thinking that we need him to visit soon again for more proof of an ongoing relationship and cause we miss each other like crazy lol.. We've been thinking which is better September or December (around my interview time)... And after a few days of thinking we decided that it would be better that he attends the interview with me and that way we would get to save money for both our tickets... I can't wait to be with him again.. The thought is bringing tears to my eyes.
Awesome idea to be there for the interview!! Gosh, I wish I could do that!! :-s

I can relate.... I want to go visit Thuy now and I found Rt tickets for under 1000. usd.(really cheap).. but I thought it would be better to save some money and wait until November... I expect Interview Jan or Feb... I will go back then as well. and dont forget another 1000 for AOS after you guys get married...
I need a sure fire way to win the lottery lol... Id take off 2 months and go to England to chill and wait.. Weeeee!!

Just curious, what did they say they were needing evidence of? I'm biting my nails in concern now that I may have left somethign out :-s
They didnt say anything.. I realized my oversights after I joined VJ..as I did a great deal of reading and asked a bunch of questions.. So rather than waiting for the RFE I sent a supplemental pkg addressing the issues I found and then some.. VN is one of the most difficult consulates to get through... So I added additional info on the front end that they tend to blue slip for on the back end. still no touch from the packet I sent them last week.
More good news Aya! I hope DHL does what you need them to do...
I am going to take a day away tomorrow and go fishing and forget about everything for a little while....
Gotcha! Good thinking... Foresight can be worth its weight in Gold.. Good luck to you both! Happy fishin

Just an update on my attempt to pre-empt an RFE... They got the supplemental pkg. last Monday.. No 'touch' ... This is odd since everything that has been done in my case so far has resulted in a change in the date... I am dying to know if they actually accepted it and added it to my file....
Just curious, what did they say they were needing evidence of? I'm biting my nails in concern now that I may have left somethign out :-s

There is no specific limit I believe, but you have to file for Advanced Parole (AP) which takes around a month or two processing.
And you'll be getting to Texas in the middle of winter, which I imagine is much nicer than an English winter......you won't want to leave!
Woo hoo!! Go June filers go!!

I emailed my congressman about 2 days ago, the immigrations director called me today. Gave me a full walkthrough of timelines, what to expect how my case may be better (or worse) than others, went over who does what and where.
It was very, very helpful and reassuring. Google your Congressman and go to the "Contact us" link, wont hurt to try! I feel much better, even knowing I have a 4 month wait to get a NOA2, at least I know what to expect now.
Here's where I went and what I wrote:

I am hoping that you will be of service to myself and my fiance' for filing for a K-1 Fiance' Visa. We submitted our application packet on 6-16-09 and received our NOA1. We are unsure as to how long we should allow for the NOA2 to arrive and when would be a good time to start looking for it.
If we do not receive the NOA2 within 4 months time, should this be a good time to contact your office for assistance in processing our application? We have been advised the visajourney.com, that your office would be able to assist us in our endeavors..
Any assistance or direction you can afford will be truly appreciated. Thank you and we look forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely,
Wendy L. Showers and
John E. Gray
Good Luck on your Journey

Hi everybody
My fiance lives in Callao, Peru and I live in Houston, Texas. I sent my I-129F on June 2, the check was cashed on June 9 at the vermon center. I still have not recieved NOA1 in the mail.
I think I'd check the USCIS website, or call on it. Did you sent it certified return receipt?? Hopefully that will help you track it. Good Luck on your Journey!
-
John and I wish Good Luck to all in the June Pool!!! Weee (splashes round) I hope everyon'es journey is rapid and without issue.

I think he is mailing FROM Austin and not TO Austin...
The Chicago lock box is for AOS I think not I-129F ...

So it begins! 6-12-09, mailed off our I-129F Packet. Good Luck to all those laying in wait!!!Timeline...
2009-6-12: I-129F Mailed Certified Registered return receipt requested at the USPS, Austin TX
Good luck but I am curious, your filing you i129 for a k1 visa right? Why did you send it to Austin Tx instead of the Lock Box in Chicigo or am I reading your post wrong?
That's correct - we are at this time, sitting back and enjoying the time togeher and waiting for NOA2.. should be around in about 2 more months! Our best to all the K-1 and VJ peeps!! Thanks for all your support!
