PK and PK got a reaction from Fatlip in Already us citizen since 1994, had name change during the process and after, no difficult to return.
Here are some examples of evidence that the state dept. considers acceptable:
* expired passports showing entries into or departures from the United States and other countries; * school, and employment records; * tax withholding statements; * bank, credit card records; * frequent flyer records; * boarding passes; * and other such documents that establish periods of U.S. physical presence -
PK and PK got a reaction from Aya820 in Building up credit
I know Wells Fargo has secured credit cards. You can also get a store card from Target, Kohl's etc pretty easily. They will be low limit but get one you will need to use regularly. Within 6 months, you should get offers for better unsecured credit cards. Start using those and pay back properly and within an year you should get a great credit score.

PK and PK got a reaction from NikLR in Bringing step daughter
I think this might be an F2 preference visa. Minor child of LPR. There would be some wait involved for priority date or another option is when wife becomes an citizen she can do an IR-2.

PK and PK got a reaction from Boiler in Out of status and stuck on what to do! Help guys please. (merged)
Can you not return back to school for option 3? Also anyone with legal and sufficient source of employment in US can be a sponsor so it doesn't have to be family.

PK and PK got a reaction from vuonggg in Request for Initial Evidence (I-485) clarification/question
For anyone whose income you stated in the I-864A, they had to be legally allowed to work in the US for the income to be counted. Is your dad from example legally allowed to work? Is your wife working and her income included? There are restrictions on work while on a F1 visa.

PK and PK got a reaction from bahamamama234 in HUGE QUESTION ABOUT SENDING INTERNATIONAL MONEY TO MY JOINT SAVINGS ACCOUNT WITH MY AMERICAN HUSBAND
I think it is common for parents to help out their kids when they are starting out so this should not be a problem.
You will still need sufficient income or assets for the affidavit of support of course.

PK and PK got a reaction from Dohan in AOS
If you are an US citizen you have to file taxes even if overseas assuming you has sufficient income. Also you should be domiciled in the US since the intent of an immigrant visa is family unification and at this time you and your wife are already together. So get back to the US and settle down and get a job so you can meet all these requirements.

PK and PK reacted to KiwiBird in Amnesty for Illegal Spouse but left the country?
Not as of yet. Apparently their vacation was a lot longer than I knew. I heard they are supposed to come back sometime in January, but I don't know when. I haven't seen much on Facebook lately either. All is quiet, but I know they aren't back yet.
