ok so i was a full time student in the philippines in 2007 and 2006 and i did not file my taxes because i was not working at the time. i am currently trying to make my cover letter for my I 1864 and i was told that i would have to explain why i did not file taxes for 2007 and 2006. could someone please help me on this...

here is what i have so far:

Enclosed please find the Form I-864, Affidavit of Support for my husband, ________ and supporting documents as follows:

• I-864 Coversheet (with barcode)

• Form I-864 (Signed and dated)

• 2008 Federal Tax Return, W2 and 1040EZ

• Letters of Employement

• Pay stub(s) from October 2008 – May 2008

Tax returns for the previous years (2007, 2006) were not filed because I was a full time student in the Philippines with no employment income for those years.

what else can i say?

did you have to explain that on your cover letter? and also do i have to explain why i did not file taxes for 2007 and past years? also...do i make copies of the w2? and 1040? do i send copies of them?

No I didn't explain in my cover letter.

Yes you have to send a letter stating why you did not file 2006 & 2007.

Yes make copies of w2 and 1040 for 2008 and send.

HA!!!! Not at all :-). I think I'm at the end of things I can't fix breaking down. I can't do computer or car things but give me home improvement and I can tackle it! Along with the car last week my hot water heater stopped giving me hot water. Well, I made a couple of calls and then went to two hardware stores got what I needed and fixed it all by myself. A few weeks ago I hardwired a "new to me" dishwasher into my wall too. Right now my boys and I are working on fencing for the goats. Then we're onto finishing my deck. I think I'll call in an electrician to get my "new to me" hot tub hooked up, looked a bit beyond what I can do.

so another question...i think i mentioned it before that on my w2 i only made half of my total annual income because i only started working in aug. 2008, therefore i was not able to make it to 125% poverty guideline. but the salary they are offering me if i add it up to working a full year would meet the requirements to sponsor my husband. so i have my employment letter stating how much i earn per hour and how much my total annual income would be...i also have my pay stubs....

i am just worried that on my w2 it is only stated that i earned half of my total income and it does not meet the 125% poverty guideline.

also this is my first ever real job and my first time to work since i got out of school...do i explain on my AOS cover sheet?

My last year tax return was WAY below the guideline. I started my new job in December. I had my boss sign a letter stating what my current yearly salary is and our AOS was approved with no problem.

I thought the stress was nearly over, but guess not. My grandmother passed away this morning. We knew it was coming soon we just had hoped she would hang on until my sister got here with her daughter who was born on the 14th. She named her Maya which means grandmother.

Taj - You should get the DS-3032 email (addressed to your husband, but you'll be CCd on it), and the AOS fee bill email (addressed to you, but your husband will be CCd) at the same time. The IIN will be in the AOS fee bill email.

anyway, i also asked my husband to scan a complete ds3032 with his signature and barcode pasted on it (as per instruction of the ling che shortcut guide) so i can send it as an attachment when i sent in our email. he will also be sending it along with his police clearances and ds 230 within this week so i can add his ds3032 along with my AOS package (thats what i saw carlish do in her timeline =)....)

does anyone think its a good idea for me to scan it and attach in our email? the ds 230?

What I did was I created a Word MS Office file and I inserted the bar code and then the info that carlish posted for you. I attached that file. And in the body subject of e-mail I pasted again all that info. I messed up though I didn't write down my mail address together with my phone # and e-mail because I used another template from VJ on the LingChe.

Is it OK if I resend DS-3032 again via e-mail?

And Taj, yes, they were going to send me the DS-3032 package, just they screwed my e-mail address and that's how my husband realized I'd never get it. He called them though to correct them

i called them last night and just re confirmed with me my husbands email address and my email address...its taking so long again, i guess we will probably have it tomorrow or end of this week...bad thoughts come into my mind...WHAT IF WE ARE ON AP? yikes!

question: do they give your INVOICE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER with the email for the ds3032 bill thingy?

How do i pay the AOS bill - if i have not received an email from NVC?

It's been 9 days since NVC case # assigned and we hear the same message over the phone We still haven't received an e-mail with DS-3032 and I-864. How do we get the Invoice Identification Number?

hi all, i just got my employment letter from work and it only states how much i get per hour and when i was hired. is this enough to send to NVC for the AOS? also we got NVC number last friday may 15, 2008 and gave our emails yesterday may 18, 2008. i called them and asked when the DS3032 and AOS fee will be generated and the lady told me to just wait for the email. how long does this usually take? like 2 -3 days? after we receive the email, how will i be able to pay for the 70$ fee for this? and which email address do i send my husbands ds3032 to? do i just reply from the email sent to us?

is this my next step? wait for the DS-3032/AOS (I-864) Fee Bill Generated...this is sent through email right?

GOD/ALLAH is the same, and it doesn't matter what faith you come from just as long as you treat each other with respect. My dearest friends come from all religeous backgrounds. I believe there is only one judge and that is GOD/ALLAH himself and no one has the right to put anyone down because of their faith. So the love is returned to you as well taj'samericanwife. i just wanted to point it out that i am not muslim so that others will not think i am biased. when i was in elementary i learned the 4 major religions of the world and at a young age i learned to respect them. my mother never held her family back just because others were not in the same race or religion and i think it contributes alot for people to respect others who are not like them in terms or color and religion.
