Hi All,
I filed my husband's waiver in June with a received date of June 04.
Today, I looked on to the website to check the status of my husband's waiver. This is what it says:
"On September 08, 2014 we mailed you a notice that we have APPROVED this i601 application for waiver of grounds of inadmissibility. Please follow any instructions on the notice."
Does this mean what I think it means???? Was he approved? OMG.

Would be great if some of this old info would be updated I the same context for 2014

Your statement that "there is no obligation for the sponsor to provide for the beneficiary" is wrong. The courts disagree with you and have awarded support based on the I-864.

You may want to read the I-864 again.

The I-485 is to adjust status if you are already in the US. At this point, you just need to wait for them to either approve you or send an REF . There is nothing to send in until they ask for it.

Get a restraining order, have him evicted from the home, send his daughter back home, and file for divorce.

how long did it take to get the letter?
Yep, I'm pretty much sick and tired of this waiting. We are at 16 months. November will be 3 years that he went back to Costa Rica. It seems never ending.

Thank you everyone for your comments! I really wanted to do this for my family in Japan since we won’t get to see the baby that often. It will means a lot for my family. A lot of Japanese women go back to their homes and give a birth in Japan. This is really common over there, and parents love it when their daughter come back and spend time with their grandchild. We also will be in the better place financially if we do this. We are trying to buy a house and the saving will help us a lot.
BUT….. you guys are right. This plan is too risky. I’m putting not only my residency status but also baby’s health & citizenship at risk. I also have a job that I need to come back after maternity leave and it shouldn’t take risk of not coming back the U.S on time. I discussed about this my husband quite a lot and we decided NOT to do this and have a baby here in the U.S. My family can visit us when the baby is here. This is my first pregnancy and I shouldn’t have this crazy plan with tremendous amount of stress. Again, thank you all for your comments, you guys woke me up and helped me make a decision!

Call Ice and make an info pass appt. gather all his personal info so you can give it to whoever needs it.
Sounds like he told you he was going back to his country to get you off his back so he would feel less guilty. Number one tip off to me was the NOT sleeping with you in the same bed. I have a friend who is in the same situation. Her man sleeps on the floor. Says he's more comfortable there.. YEA...OK.... that relationship has red flags all over it but she keeps giving him the benefit of the doubt... Don't waste any more of your life on someone who doesn't give you what you deserve.. I have heard of so many fraud marriages just for a green card. It is amazing what they will do ... They are con artists. (maybe not good ones) and when he says he doesn't mind losing the card.... he's lying... he really does mind but he won't let you know that.
Wash your hands and get out.. Don't confront him anymore with the information you find.. keep it to yourself and keep a log.

Because USCIS is different from NVC and the Embassy. USCIS was expediting those in serious natural disasters, serious medical issues.. etc.. It even lists the criteria on the website. I've never seen anyone that was pregnant get expedited during USCIS unless there was a serious medical issue there. The US government would have said it wasn't their fault that you chose to get pregnant and not trying to prevent it until after the process was over. USCIS deals with all applications, it would be hard to try to expedite everyone if they were pregnant. Could you imagine if everyone just got pregnant just for the sake of getting expedited?

I remember feeling like W.T.F?? I didn't send any mail after May 8th. One of the operators told me that whenever you inquire about your case via email or when they respond, they have to add it to your file.. that is why it shows up as mail. I am glad you feel better.

If you made an inquiry via email, they count that as a scanned piece of mail.. They played games with me and kept telling me there was mail that was scanned but there wasn't. They did so many supervisor reviews, I guess they considered those as mail. They told me I would not get a CC until all scanned mail was reviewed... but that was a lie. As soon as they reviewed the last piece of mail we sent for the checklist, they gave me my CC. Your expedite request and denial is probably the "so called" piece of mail. Don't worry. anything to do with your file has to be tracked.

Go back in time and hire a lawyer. Then the DS-261 will be skipped and the IV bill will be invoiced around the same time as the AOS bill.
Other than that, there's no shortcuts and you have to wait your turn.

How long did it take to receive the letter? I was told today that since I have an attorney, the USCIS will not even talk to me ( the petitioner). Only Applicant and lawyer. So I was wondering if I would still get an NOA1 or do I have to wait for the lawyer to get around to sending it to me?
