Just have fewer babies and less healthy ones and let women die earlier of cancer that could have been detected and treated early. No big deal. After all, these women don't have a right to life.

Why are we sorry to hear that? Because we followed this person's story, through the hardships they shared on the forums, and the pain and time it took them to get the NOA2 finally. It's sad in any event to see someone cancel the process after getting so far.

Why are you so negative? They do not ask you where you are from only if you are legal to get a Drivers License. Trust me there are people who have not been in this country 6 months driving truck and yes even from Egypt. Not all Muslim are viewed as bad people not every one is racist yes some are but not all. If he is able to find this site, he is able to do it himself. It doesn't take much to sponsor someone on a K1. You don't have to be a genius to follow the guides and fill out some forms. He is obviously willing to ask questions and seek answers on a site where most of his questions can be answered. He knows he can and will find a job if needs be. Fortunately for him, he already has assets that exceed the minimum requirements, so he doesn't really need to worry about that as far as the first stage is concerned.
For a person in his situation, hiring a lawyer is throwing money away.

I just feel bad that we are getting half of the story by only hearing one point of view and the other side is not able to defend herself. That's why I'm trying to keep it in perspective for everyone here... by reminding everyone that there are two sides to every story, that everyone makes mistakes, and that no one is perfect.

While I'm sorry for what you're going through Al, I personally don't believe it's right or a good idea to air out all the dirty laundry of a relationship to strangers on the internet once it's over. It's not going to make you feel better. It's not going to fix anything. It's simply going to get responses that you don't want to hear/read. If my fiance did to me what yours did to you, I'd cut them out of my life, thank my lucky stars that I dodged THAT bullet before I moved my entire life for him, and wash my hands of the whole thing. I'd be upset and betrayed, but the internet is not where I'd turn to for comfort. Nor would I feel the need to plead my case to a bunch of strangers about how I was the good guy. It's just not important.

I'm sorry, but I refuse to believe that in 2 1/2 years that a person can only make ONE mistake in a relationship. I think both sides make mistakes all the time, whether they know about it or not. I'm sorry, but saying that there was 'only one mistake in the entire relationship' doesn't sound at all accurate to me. It kind of sounds like blame shifting to me. Now I'm not saying it's 'all Al's fault', but I am not saying it's all Elena's fault either. I'm sure both parties had a part to play, as this is how it goes with every relationship.
Also, professing love for someone, and then bashing that person to the ground... I don't understand that. I don't understand how anyone who truly LOVES another can do a complete 180 on them in that amount of time.

So I take it they didn't lose your paperwork and the fees didn't double on you 1/2 way through the process, and due to the increase in fees and ensuing rush to file, delays of many months were incurred. You're right, what am I complaining about? Oh and then the S.A.V.E. system wasn't properly documented and stepsons driver's license was suspended. That fiasco only took a Congressman, a Senator and the Bureau Chief of the North Carolina Dept of Motor Vehicles to sort out. Oh heavens forbid, what was I thinking posting here? This thread must be for the precious few that breezed through the process with nary a problem.

I guess you have been through this process enough times to state that as long as you pay the fees and have your docs in order, a "slam dunk" is virtually assured. Maybe you didn't have any problems but I can guarantee you that the USCIS has dealt out it's share of heartache, even to those who had their docs in order. Don't pretend to know what everyone else here has been through. As I stated I can only speak for my experience, as ridiculous as I felt the OP was, it took your snotty, egotistical and untoward comment to bring me down to this level.

dont take gary seriously,he has a tendency to crush people's dreams when they are down since he knows it all and all he did during the 4 m onths he was away from his fiancee was getting her college application readyand she got into college as soon as she got to the states yada yada yada,we have heard it all from him.
youre in vermont so i suggest you just take it easy,get a couple of good books,the type you cant put down,find some guilty pleasures on tv,and do some volunteery work and just survive
