Yeah, it came from some juvenile intern in the NTSB but surely someone picking up 'facts' from the NTSB would fact check it before passing it along media channels? They are so obviously fake names. Driver training is more extensive because car accidents kill more than 40 times the number of people that firearm accidents kill. Deaths from firearms accidents by CCW license holders are microscopically low. Seems like drivers ed should be at least 40 times more difficult.
Drivers training also results in a license to drive valid in ALL states, usually for a lifetime after one test when you are 16 years old and just paying a fee for renewal every 2-6 years. No criminal background checks and in many states they are issued to illegal immgrants. Are you suggesting that we have concealed carry licenses valid in all states? I think we should, what about you? Should we drop the criminal background checks and issue them to illegal immigrants? I think we should. We did in Vermont and it works great.
I mean if we are to compare driving and guns... CCW permits issued to 16 year olds? Maybe CCW learners permits issued to 15 year olds so they can carry concealed in the company of their parents. Seems like good training and you favor training, right? No age limit to buy and possess firearms, just as there is none to buy a car.
CCW classes offered in High School, even required in High School, just like driver's ed. I'm up for it. Additional training is is good, right?

Thanks to all who provided the blow by blow daily during the trial. I initially went into this leaning a bit to the TM side, but as the case unfolded, I had much doubt and the prosecution didn't prove their case.
