I'm a USC and just filed AOS documents for my parent who's here on Visitor Visa. I'm wondering when should I expect to receive AP document?
-
I'm a US citizen and would like to invite my parents to visit me in the states for the first time. Would it be difficult for my parents to get a visitor visa since I'm a US citizen also what documents they need for the interview? My parents are 60 and 67 years old and will be covering their expenses. They will be interviewing in Amman, Jordan.

If I file CR1 for my wife, how long does it take on average for I130 to be approved at California Service Center? I'm a US citizen and my wife is abroad. Also how long does it take to go through the NVC stage?

December 2016 filer here, just checked online status and my case was transferred to my local office on 02/26/2018. Hoping for a quick approval now...

I need to schedule an info pass appointment to try to get my passport stamped (lost GC) but everytime I go to USCIS website I get the message:
"Currently, there are no available appointments. Please check again tomorrow."
I have been trying for the past 2 weeks but no luck. Anyone also experiencing this issue? Any suggestions?

It may not be pointless. I am not sure if USCIS will accept the front side only copy of the GC (it doesn't look good), or reject your petition outright, or merely send you an RFE when they start sifting through your paperwork. Hopefully other members that have encountered this specific dilemma can post their experience.
If they initially accept your petition paperwork, and then send you an RFE for it later. That later may be several months down the road, particularly in light of the current lengthy delays in ROC processing. If you have to get a replacement card secondary to an RFE, waiting for the replacement card could cause you problems with the time frame requirement for replying to the RFE.
It may be prudent to consider making an Infopass appointment and discussing the situation with an IO at your local USCIS field office.
Good luck on your immigration journey.
Thanks for the reply... the card will expire on Feb 8 2017. If I file I90 to get a replacement card, my GC will be expired but the time the process the application and I doubt USCIS will issue and mail and card that's already expired.
LOOOOONG time viewer, first time caller!!!!
I never received my conditional green card and so when it came to remove my conditions, I explained this in the package we submitted. I was not sent an RFE and was approved without an interview. So I doubt it is a do or die piece of the puzzle, if their is an explanation to go with it....
Good to know... that's encouraging. At least I have a copy of the front side.

Review some threads, don't know.
However, what I do know is that the instructions are very clear on the type of evidence that USCIS wants sent in with the initial I-751 petition, so you can likely expect some issue if you don't comply with their explicit instructions:
Reference: Form I-751 instructions, page 5: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf
Good luck on your immigration journey.
Thank you for the replay... submitting I90 to get a replacement card is pointless now since the card will expire in the 1st week of Feb 2017 and we planning on filing I751 next week.

I'm already in the 90 days window to file my I751 and getting ready to mail the application in few days but unfortunately I just lost my green card. I do have a copy of the front of the card only.
Can I file my I751 and send only front copy of the green card? Anything else I should do in this case?
Thanks all.

have you looked at the Embassy Reviews at all?
we've a section here at VJ.
If you are using a handphone to surf VJ, please get on a real pc as the landscape is different.
it was required when my wife did her interview.
Petitioner's decree - copy into USCIS, certified copy given over on interview day.
Thank you will make sure my wife have it just in case.
-
My wife's interview is next month is the Petitioner's decree of divorce required for the interview day? It's not listed in P4 letter and I only sent a copy at USCIS stage.
-
I am planning to bring a photocopy as the P-4 instruction says to bring Copy of the U.S. petitioner status in the USA. for some cases it can be birth certificate, for others naturalization certificate.
I looked at my P4 and it didn't mention anything about it this is why I thought I might ask.
-
Quick question, is the petitioner Certificate of Naturalization required on the day of the interview for CR1 visa? I don't think it is but just want to confirm. Thanks

Hello everyone. just checking in. we received our CC email in January 14. waiting for an interview date now
From what I seen on this site most likely you will get interview date next week between the 27th and the 29th and your interview will be on March 2nd or 3rd. Good luck.
-
you will need to call them. Last time I sent docs it took them 16 days to open the email and confirm they received the docs. So call them closer to the end of the month. They also send emails saying they received your docs but not everyone receive these emails so call to make sure.

Most people are there at their embassy in the first in the morning regardless of the time scheduled. I don;t even know why they even schedule a time. I would be first am. First come first serve you know.
Thanks dwheels76. The reason I asked is because I seen someone posted couple weeks ago that he went early for his interview and was told he can only get in half an hour before his scheduled interview time.

Quick question... my wife interview is in the afternoon. Is it ok if she showed up in the morning? I know some consulates are first come first serve but not sure about Jordan.
AOS of USC Parent, when to submit I693 Report of Medical Examination?
in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas

I'm in the process of submitting AOS application for my father. Should I send I693 now with the initial submission or at interview/when USCIS asks for it?
Thanks in Advance!
