It sounds like your SO doesnt really know his father...at least not personally. Does he only know of his father being in the US from heresay? If this is the case he doesnt know his father and should treat it as such on ALL documents. I would suggest you put unknown. My husband doesn't really know his father either. Yes he knows his name and town but beyond that the father is just a stranger. I would start over and just put unknown when it comes to questions about the father. I've done that on all my paperwork and it was fine. I know of a lot of other JA filers who did the same.
I would suggest that u check with the INS and give them his fathers name and DOB and see if they have a record of him and his wereabouts.

I am just curious to see how many hours a week my fellow Americans work to make a living here. If you work more than 41 hours a week, please give the typical amount of hours you work.
I work anywhere from 40-45 hours a week.
My job follows me just about 24/7, I own the company!!!!!

I would strongly suggest you call the embassy and speak with Ms Loraine or Ms Grace. They should be able to tell you the reason for the denial. Maybe there was a problem with her document verification or her medical. Me and my fiancee were just approved and it sounds like to me u had everything and more. Did u send backup docs with ur taxes and with ur 134? The number to the embassy is 011-63-2-301-2000 ext 5184 or 5185. Good luck!!!
