  3. Hi everyone this morning..

I would just like to know if anyone from here experienced writing a letter of inquiry to the CSC regarding changes of status(married name) so the Social security could issue me my SSN..i called the uscis and they gave me an option to send a letter to CSC or to get an infopass, but atlanta doesn't have any infopass appointment available..

Please share it with me, guys...

    Salamat!!

You've posted this in the K1-Forum; and do not have a timeline; but in previous posts you indicate you have filed for AOS/EAD etc.

Did you submit your AOS forms in your married name?

Hi, Yes i am sorry for not having a timeline yet. You're right i already applied for my AOS, and i already have my EAD in my married name. The SS office showed me that the immigration didn't change my status yet to my married name, so they need verification that would correlate with my EAD card..Thank you...

  5. We are currently processing our CR-1 Visa at the NVC and as we are getting closer to the final stage which is the medical and interview date I am starting to worry about my health issues that might hamper the whole process. Ok, I have actually a couple of health issues to discuss here. I found out 4 months ago that I have this breast lump on my left chest so i decided to have my ultrasound and mammogram test. I consulted a specialist for this case and it happened that he is also a specialist for neck, in which it is also one of the issues I am facing now. I was diagnose of having a toxic goiter (hyperthyroidism) back in 2003. I was taking some medicine to control the overactivity of my thyroid gland but I quit after 6 months of taking it co'z it's TOO bitter for me that makes me lose my appetite. Well anyway, I had my blood test (TSH & FT4) just a couple months ago and the result shows at it's normal values (thank God)...which means I am ready for a surgery to have it remove. My doctor's advice is to have my breast and thyroid done in one operation which really sounds scary and kinda risky I guess. My husband doesn't like the idea either, he wants me to have my thyroid taken care in the US. I am planning to have my breast surgery later this month co'z this breast pain is really killing me.

My question is: Is this going to be an issue on my medical examination? I know they only care about the communicable diseases but i can't help not to worry about my thyroid problem during my medical exam at St. Luke's Hospital in Manila. I am afraid that they might ask me to treat this first or go on medication and reschedule my medical and interview co'z it would be too costly for me to fly here (Davao) and there in Manila for another medical and interview date. Anyone here who got some thyroid problem and went through the medical exam? Please enlighten my worried mind.

    Hello,

I dont have anything to worry about my health...I wish you well...

  6. hey!!

Have you met this man in person cos its highly unlikely that your petition will be approve unless you meet in person, and also unless he meets the minimum income level..I was interviewed once and only once for only minutes..Tbere may be some doubt to the embassy of your relationship with your sis already being here(met him thru your sister)

But anyways, i wish you'll get your visa soon....stay positive and it will come..believe and you shall received!!

  14. i just send my package last monday,, I put all the necessary proofs to prove that we met with in the last 2 years, here is my question..my fiancé have tried to apply for a tourist visa in the past and was refused a visa..would it affect our k1 application?? Please enlighten me..I am very much worried that her tourist visa denials will conflict on our k1 petition.I'm planning to visit her again this march..I just came back 2 weeks ago..thanks.

HELLO!! There would be no problem about it co's i tried to apply for tourist visa while our case(K1) was already filed.BUT be sure during your interview, the consul will ask you about it, and BE HONEST that you tell the truth, won't affect your case, trust me this is base on my experienced.Good luck and merry x'mas kababayan:)
