Good morning all, I want to inquire about something. If someone is already Documentary Qualified and comes from a country that they are considering for a potential travel ban, If the person obtains Canada citizenship in 2 years time and decides to change his nationality or passport to Canadian Passport so that the travel ban will not affect him. When the person contacts NVC to make this change, does the person’s Documentary qualified date change? Thank you. -

Please in your application is your spouse included. My lawyer said we need both PR card of the principal applicant and Landing papers of the derivative ( the spouse of the Principal applicant). I was thinking they should have considered only the principal applicant. Thank you -

Good morning all, I'm the principal applicant and my case is at NVC. When I got the documentary qualified email. It said that we will be interviewed at Nigeria Consulate. I contacted NVC to move my case to Montreal and they said " Canada Permanent PR card/Passport" should be submitted in order to do the transfer. My spouse is still in Nigeria and will be relocating to Montreal by December. My question is that is my PR card( Principal Applicant) enough to do the transfer from Lagos, Nigeria to Montreal or will I have to wait till my wife joins me in Canada before I do the transfer. Thank you very much for your reply. -

Good morning all, Suppose someone endeavor is to work as a Mechanical Engineer in the US, and his I-140 was approved on that endeavor. During the time he submitted Ds260 and became documentary qualified, he was still pursuing that endeavor. However after Becoming documary qualified, he got a job to work as a Software Engineer in Canada. Will the Consular officer deny the application because of this reason, Thank you very much. -

Good morning everyone, I submitted my Civil documents to NVC and NVC confirmed that they received it today. My wife police clearance will expire in 8 days from now and she stays in Nigeria. I'm kind of scared. If NVC reviews the police clearance after it expired, Can NVC issue me RFE to resubmit the police clearance before they confirmed that we are Documentary qualified. Anyone who experienced this should help. The Documentent is valid when they received, but may not be valid when they review it as it will expire in 8 days time Thank you very much Regards -

Please for mailing civil documents to NVC after submitting DS260 Which courier service did you use. My attorney used usps to mail such documents but I think express courier service such as FedEx, USPS is better. Please which courier service did you use? Thank you, Regards -

@Canadian24, Thank you so much. For my peace, I will request for new ones. I doubt if nvc received the documents I sent earlier as my lawyer used usps to mail the documents without signature required. Which courier service did you use to mail your documents. Regards, Thank you -

Hi everyone, Greetings, I and my wife are from Nigeria and we submitted our civil documents, however the police certificate we submitted has 3 months validity it is written on the certificate that this document will expire in 3 months, it will expire in 2 weeks time. I contacted NVC about this confusion and they sent me a link that says below statement without giving me any direct answer. Note: Present and former residents of the United States do NOT need to submit any U.S. police certificates. Important: Police certificates expire after two years, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued. so my question if our police certificates have expired before NVC receives it. will the 2 years or 3 months validity be applied on our document. My wife lives in my home country. Please anyone that has experienced this should help. we submitted our documents recently and they confirmed they do not have our documents yet. Thank you -
