  1. Congratulations 👏
  2. Congratulations to both. My experience Status was updated as Issued as soon it Approved and Visa printed on the Passports
  3. Yes they do stating that we Admitted as Green Card Holder with Date. From that day we will have 1 Year time permanently move to USA. While waiting for the Physical Card this stamp allows us to start working Immediately.
  4. Hi everyone, I wanted to share our full timeline and experience, hoping it helps others who are waiting or going through something similar. This forum has been incredibly supportive, and the updates shared here truly helped us stay calm during the process. Our family’s immigrant visa case was placed under 221(g) and went into Administrative Processing. We received the standard response stating that processing could not be predicted and that the Consulate would contact us once completed. Thankfully, our case was cleared within 5 weeks, and we received our visa approvals from the Montreal U.S. Consulate. As I mentioned earlier Montreal Consulate office was very friendly during our Interview process and the AP query is based on individual case by case in our case there was no extra documents requested and Passports held with Visa Officer. During the interview officer mentioned response all the time it was very positive approach. One of our biggest concerns was our daughter’s eligibility under the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA)—and we are relieved and grateful to share that her visa was approved under CSPA as well. Yesterday, we crossed the U.S. border, and everything went very smoothly. The CBP officers were professional and reassuring; they informed us that we should be receiving our Green Cards in the mail soon. I updated our Google Sheet. This community has been truly helpful throughout the journey, offering timely information and genuine support. I wanted to give back by sharing our positive outcome and to let others know that even a 221(g) situation can resolve smoothly. Wishing everyone still in the process the very best and speedy approvals. 🙏💙
  5. Can you try Signin with different email.id and continue to book your appointment. It happened same to me and i used my wife's email.id to signin for booking the appointment and it worked.
  6. Their sites are always busy and we can't blame, can you try different browser. Even I had appointment scheduled on website delivery to home was not successful and i have to opt for pickup location
  7. Not having vaccination history is common for many immigrants. Your family doctor has to write a recommendation for you and family to the Lab for Immunity check and the Lab will do Blood test and send any recommendations to your family doctor, based on that Dr. office will provide you required vaccination (if any). Your certified medical doctor will check and fill their form accordingly.
  8. Yes, confirmation required as mentioned in the instructions you received and A number is your case.id MTLXXXXXXXXXX at that time you will be asked where to receive your PP etc.,
  9. Strange, does NVC portal still says case at NVC?
  10. if your email subject line like this - PREPARING FOR YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA INTERVIEW - ABCDMONTH 2025 that means your IL was sent to you or your attorney nealy a month Ago and giving an heads-up to you for Interview preparation in other words just an reminder you can say... this is as per my experience.
  11. We no need to carry anything. Once documents checklist done at the 1st window we will be directed to another window for the fingerprints and then wait for the 3rd window i.e. Interview. The Visa Officer will provide the form once they cross verify other documents and they take the Original offer letter and provide this form to Sign
  12. I don't remember the Form number, but they asked me to sign the form stated in that I'm accepting that provided Job Offer in front of the Visa Officer
  13. Congratulations. As I mentioned my updates after my Interview on 10/24/2025. My case still shows as Refused and CEAC updated 3 times in 5 days since my Interview. Mine is additional info required and no form given, passports are still with them. Tensed moments, but that's how I have to deal with it.
  14. I missed to mentioned in my Interview experience, during the entire my Interview Visa Officer was very polite and very friendly with their questions. I realized there are few members in the sheet also showing administrative process, not sure all those completed and approve by now, also please let me know how many of those passports remains with consulate office? Thanks and appreciate your response.
  15. Hello Everyone, Just to let you all know that I had my Interview last week i.e. Friday October 24, 2025. As soon pass through the security check on 1st floor and enetered into the 2nd floor (7.55 AM) there was power outage within the building and it took some time to get the power back and continue their normal routine work. Once they completed all documentation check, we directed to the next window for the finter prints once those are done they asked us to wait for our turn for the Interview. My Interview was all good, but as per Visa Officer they still need some additional administrative processing information on my file which they coldn't proceed with due to the power outage their systems not fully operational, so officer couldn't approve my case on same day. Officer also mentioned there is no other format of form other than Refusal letter with "Additonal process is required. We will contact you when this is complete" option was checked, but officer kept all our passports with them. At this time my case status is Refused state and will see how it goes further i'll keep you posted here. Please let me know, if anyone aware of how long normally it takes when the Refusal reason as above mentioned. Thank you all.
  16. Congratulations and Thanks for sharing the detailed information. All the Best in USA.
  17. Hello Everyone!

I have a situation where, during my NVC documentation process, the fee was requested for my daughter as well. However, while reviewing the documents, NVC excluded my daughter with the reason that she is not eligible based on her age, as she turned 21 in November 2023. In reality, during the pandemic, I applied for my I-824 to port my approved I-140 (Priority Date: March 6th, 2012). It took almost 2 years to get my I-824 approved. At that time, my daughter was below 21 years old, and my dates became current while I was waiting for my I-824 approval. (As per my attorney, she should be on the file based on this point.)

Later, NVC requested me to submit the DS-260 with all documentation, including my daughter’s. Once I received my DQ (Documentarily Qualified) letter for document completion, I realized on their website that my daughter’s name was grayed out and I couldn't access her form. Only myself and my wife were on the application process, and I am the principal applicant. During that time, I engaged an attorney to raise our concern. After careful review, the attorney adjudicated that my daughter should be on file based on the CSPA action and issued a memo to NVC with all exhibits stating why she should be on file.

NVC processed the case again, retriggered the process, and my DQ date changed from November 2023 to May 2024. My daughter’s name was also back in active mode. When we received our Interview Letter (IL), her name was listed on the letter as a dependent. At this time, the attorney is saying to just attend the interview, and we will see how the visa officer makes a decision on her case, since she is above 21 at this time.

Please let me know if anyone has experienced this kind of situation where the child was below 21 during the NVC process when the dates were current, and later the dates retrogressed and became current again at a later stage. Is she eligible under the CSPA Act?

I would post this in the main forums with more info - i.e. your visa category, your country of birth, your daughter's age now etc. But the date for CPSA purposes is either the date your I-140 was approved, or the date your PD became current on Table A on the VB (whichever is the later of those two dates). So you should be able to calculate it fairly easily yourself. And if she's still scheduled for an interview that bodes well.

  18. @Canadian24 Thanks for clarifying and link, will contact RCMP first.
  19. Oh not sure how that happened when I updated as my DQ 7th May 2024 and my priority date 6th Mar 2012
