As a fellow EB-5 applicant, would you be able to provide any additional information on the EB-5 aspects of the interview and any tips on how to best prepare? My EB-5 interview is in a few days and I would love to hear more details about how it went. Thanks!

We have 2 young kids (4 yrs and 21 months). Does anyone have any information on what's allowed or if there are exceptions to bring diaper bag for kid snacks/diapers/creams/change of clothes etc inside the consulate for the interview? Any good tips we should know about for managing young kids during the process would be helpful!

I had the same view as you - and ultimately figured that I couldn't upload anything else. But interested if anyone else figured out how to upload more documents at this stage.

Hi all - is the Canadian police certificate good for 1 year or 2 years at the time of the interview? Ours was issued in Oct 2024 with interview date Feb 2026, so if its 2 years we are good, but if its 1 year, we have to renew. Just wondering if anyone encountered issues at Montreal with Canadian police certificates older than 1 year.

Does anyone know how to upload new documents into CEAC? We got an update and reprint on one of our civil documents and I wanted to upload it before the interview. When I log into CEAC, I don't see an 'upload' option anywhere. Just confirmation that the NVC fee was 'Paid'.

Hi everyone - I received my IL today. DQ is Dec 2, 2024. Interview date Feb, 11, 2026.

Hi all since my DQ is Dec 2024 and is about 1-2 months away from IL, thought I’d ask if anyone has any tips/resources or a checklist of what actions should be taken once IL is received? Thought I’d get ahead of things so I can act quickly. For example I assume the medical appointment with panel physician should be booked asap, but if anyone has other notes it would be appreciated.

Thanks for confirming! On the spreadsheet it shows your DQ as July 26, 2022, I guess this is incorrect? What day in Oct is your DQ? Regarding PCC, our lawyer said that we needed one from country of birth.

Congratulations! Always great to hear when things go smoothly and thank you for the details as well as your timely updates. Especially your summer IL update. Thanks - that’s definitely a fair point! I guess since Montreal lumps all EB visas together for processing times, we’d all benefit from keeping each other up-to-date on DQ and IL dates regardless of which EB category. I’ve definitely found this thread super helpful, despite not being EB2.

Thanks but I filed an I-526, not I-140. If I fill out that I filed an I-140, it would be incorrect and could create confusion for others down the line.

Also how do I go about seeing a table that shows the DQ and IL dates of all the EB folks processing in Montreal on VJ? It seems that even if everyone filled out their timeline, the table is not displaying the relevant information, unless I'm missing something?

Trying to fill out, but I can't seem to find 'Priority Date' and 'DQ Date'. Are there fields that mean the same thing but have a different name? Don't want to fill in the wrong information.

Yeah your IL definitely gave me a lot of hope! That's why I was so caught off guard, as I anticipated that the August update would at least show July 2024. This mismatch implies that the status tool is not accurate. Will have to keep monitoring this thread to see if any others are getting ILs beyond April 2024.

Noticed that they now added 'Last Updated: August 04, 2025' to the IV tool. Disappointing to still see Apr-2024 in an August update.

Amazing news - congrats! The leap in the spreadsheet from March 2024 DQ to July 2024 DQ is very interesting, and gives us hope that it's still ~12 months from DQ. The tool still showing April 2024, so I guess we can't even trust that anymore 😅
