  1. As the O-1 is a Non-Immigrant visa, after the interview approval and for the purposes of administrative processing, it will be "converted" to the Non-Immigrant Visa section of the consulate for the AP and Visa Issuance. To do this, it goes to them as an "Application". Per the status you indicated, they have received it and are processing it. This is the same thing that happens with K-1 Visas as they are also Non-Immigrant. Nothing out of the ordinary here
  2. And for the K-1 visa you will be filling out the DS-160 not the DS-260
  3. This is the worst thing you could do because then you add misrepresentation to your record. Do not ever lie or omit information in order to obtain a visa/immigration benefit.
  4. We did not have an engagement ceremony, just a private proposal and dinner afterwards which we sent photos of.
  5. Yes... for their security/background checks to be completed, they cannot rely on the Pakistani Government so the AP for that process takes a really long time
  6. Is your fiancee Pakistani citizen a male? If so you can expect extensive delays for administrative processing (AP). If your fiancee is a female, there will still be AP delays but not as long as for a male Pakistani.
  7. You should wait a few more weeks and when you inquire again, use the attachment option on the inquiry form to attach a scan of your I-797c Approval Notice. I also highly recommend that in the body of your request, after asking for your case number, you provide yours and your fiancee's email addresses and ask them to verify their records and update the email addresses if necessary. This will ensure that the embassy has the correct contact info for you both. P.S. - Do not email them. Use the Public Inquiry Form Website
  8. After reading the OP's post my very first thought is to be sure that she documents the passport number of the stolen passport in the police report. That way, the police report can be used as supporting documentation as to why she will now have a different passport number than what has been submitted. I'm pondering the other points in the post but wanted to get this thought out there quickly as she already made the report and if it's not in there, maybe she can amend the report.
  9. Your PoE will be the first airport you land on US Soil so it depends on the flights you can get with the airline.
  10. Agreed. LOL But this button is brand new on the Status Page. Never seen it there before even when we had notices available to view. We always had to go into the "Documents" tab. I work in tech engineering and I am endlessly fascinated how bad the USCIS website is. Even when judged by the low-bar comparison of other government websites, it's terrible. 🤪
  11. Here's an interesting (to me anyway ) tidbit.... This "View Notice" button showed up on the I-485 Case Status page this morning. When you click it, it takes you to an error page
  12. And as of this morning ours went from 6 months to 7 months 🤪
  13. I've never known them to be open on the weekends for immigration medical services (medical exams, TB testing / follow-up, etc.)
  14. I don't believe there is anything that says you have to live in the US while it is processing. The only thing that would be of concern is having a US address where you can receive the notices from USCIS (NOA 1 & NOA2) and then when it's time to process the visa, during the interview the Consular Officer will want to know an address where you and she will be living in the US and CBP at her Port of Entry will want to know the same thing. If you can stand the wait, I would highly recommend getting married there and doing the CR-1. If for no other reasons, it's cheaper and on the K-1, once she enters the US, she is stuck here in the country until either the green card is issued after the AOS or if you pay the extra money for the Advanced Parole which could also take months to process
  15. Just curious, since your I-765 is now approved, are your cases still showing "Concurrent Filing" or did they separate them now?
  16. Current annual household income, if he is paid weekly, is his gross income per paycheck x 52. As long as you have the paystubs to back this up, this is the current annual household income you would list on the I-864. If he can get an employment verification letter from his employer, that's good to add along with the paystubs.
  17. This is correct - There is no "Blanket Waiver" for MMR as it is a one and done. The rest appear to have the proper waiver categories entered. Just submit a copy of the DS-3025 with your I-485 which will remind them you don't need to submit the I-693. Remember, the adjudicating officer will review your entire medical exam record that's in your A-File and it's up to their discretion if it meets the requirements. If not they will issue an RFE for you to get another exam and submit a completed I-693. Then at that time you go and get another one done. Don't stress it too much. There's nothing you can do until they make the decision. You never know with USCIS, so Jaycel and I have set aside $750 in case they don't accept her medical exam from the panel physician abroad and we have to do it again here. We have also mentally prepared that if they RFE us for it, we just play their game, give them what they want and be done with it.
  18. Congrats!!! Very happy for you guys!! And LOL of course it still says 13 months 😆
  19. Second this.... Now going through the AOS process, Jaycel and I wish we had got married in the Philippines and filed for the Spousal Visa instead of the K-1.
  20. I lived in the Philippines for a year before I filed the I-129F for Jaycel and I took the name of the section literally. "Physical Addresses" So I listed the 3 condos I rented in the Philippines for that year as well as my US addresses for the 5 year period. We were approved with no issue. Here's the instructions from the form:
  21. if that box is checked, then for immigration purposes your requirements are met and all you have to do is include a copy of that DS-3025 along with your I-485. Nothing else is needed.
  22. Ours went from 3 months before the biometrics to 40 months right after it and now back down to 6 months.... it's all BS. Lousy gov't system
  23. One other thing.... The "K-1 Visa" wasn't received. Your petition (I-129F) to USCIS to apply for a K-1 Visa for your fiancee was received by USCIS. I know it sounds like I'm splitting hairs here but in the immigration process, accuracy (especially with the terminology) is super important. Wish a speedy approval for you guys!
  24. Yes - You will be getting an I-797 - Notice of Action Receipt Notice (This is known as a NOA1 - When you get Approved you will get another I-797 - Notice of Action Approval Notice. This is known as a NOA2) Keep these notices in a safe place as you will need them later in the process. It is perfectly normal for this notice that comes in the mail to be very slow in coming. I have seen delays of 4-6 weeks in some cases. Nothing to worry about. If you have your receipt number that means the petition was received and is processing. Lots of waiting ahead for this process. If you want, you can check the status of your application by creating an account on my.uscis.gov and adding the receipt number to your account. Then you can log in and check if there's any status changes. Be prepared to see nothing other than "Case Was Received and a Receipt Notice Sent" as the status for a while.
