  1. I have urged my co-workers who complain about it to do just that.... but you know human nature - Much easier to complain to others than actually do something about it. 😐
  2. It seems that their hands have been tied on a lot of things
  3. Just FYI - Rely on USPS Informed Delivery to get the tracking. Ours tracking number stayed at "UNAVAILABLE" until 2 weeks after the card was delivered. LOL
  4. Bring the original and copies for them to keep. When Jaycel and I got married and recorded the marriage license with the County Clerk, we got like 10 CTC (Certified True Copies) because they were like only $1.25 each. That way if we have an interview, we will bring the original and a CTC for them to keep if they want it. In my OCD mind that give them one less thing to issue an RFE at the interview for. I know a loit of people would consider that going overboard, but since starting this journey with Jaycel, our philosophy has been to take every action that is within our control to minimize any opportunity for the decision makers to be able to deny us the benefits to which we're applying.
  5. Yes lately ive seen them being approved as soon as the day after the biometrics to 2-3 weeks after the appointment when it’s one that’s filed with an I-485. Hope yours comes soon!! Jaycel got a job almost right away after she got the EAD in the mail!
  6. There is a check box under the "End Date" that says "No End Date" - Check that one since you will be getting married and then he will adjust status
  7. I was in Aurora yesterday also Bringing my wife to the Asian Market. I have several co-workers who live in Aurora and they have been fearful of these trans-national gangs. And not just recently since it's popped up in the news. They have been talking about it for a few years now and how they're afraid for their neighborhoods.
  8. Jaycel submitted her Employment Auth Application concurrently with her I-485 and it was approved in 51 days And we did not include any evidence from the I-129F packet - We only included what proff of a bona fide marriage we had gathered since She arrived in the US. They have access to the I-129F packet in her A-File anyway. Also, in the time since we filed the AOS, we have naturally generated a lot more marital evidence and we have used the portal to upload this evidence to her case file
  9. You can use the AOS application process to change her name. See my comment in the thread below as to how we did it for Jaycel:
  10. You do not bring both Tax Return Transcripts AND Tax Returns You bring EITHER the Tax Return Transcript OR the complete tax return (all pages, all schedules, etc.) AND the W-2s & 1099s. I highly recommend using the Tax Return Transcripts as USCIS and the Embassies strongly prefer those. If you use those, there is no signature on them. If you use the tax returns and W-2s & 1099s, if you E-Filed, I would imagine you write "E-FILED" in the signature field and include the E-File receipt (I am not certain on this as I have exclusively used Tax Return Transcripts - Maybe another member can comment on the proper procedure for E-File)
  11. Yes, you can file the I-485 and I-765 at the same time. We just got Jaycel's EAD Card in the mail in January. She entered the country on the K-1 Visa in August. It took just about 5 months from when she entered the country until she got her EAD card.
  12. For sure... The previous version specifically said I-129F in that section: "Person admitted to the United States as a fiance(e) or child ofa fiance(e) ofa U.S. citizen, Form I-129F (K-1/K-2 Nonimmigrant)"
  13. The I-693 contains the your vaccination records. The name of the form is: I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record
  14. And proof of current income is king. What you are doing by submitting the payslips and letter from the employer satisfies that
  15. USCIS strongly prefers the Tax Return Transcript… and you do not send in W-2s or 1099s if you submit that transcript
  16. Yes... It's almost certain you selected "Spouse of a US Citizen" instead of "Person admitted to the United States as a fiancé(e) or child of a fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen (K-1/K-2 Nonimmigrant)." When you check the first box, they look for either a concurrently filed I-130, I-140, I-360 OR a I-797C (Receipt or Approval Notice) from ONLY one of those forms. Since you did not have one they rejected the application. When you check the "Person admitted to the United States as a fiancé(e) or child of a fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen (K-1/K-2 Nonimmigrant)." they look for your I-797C Approval notice from the I-129F
  17. Agree with @OldUser above. Besides... Montreal, where all Family Based Immigrant Visas are handled, is notoriously slow.
  18. NVC Public Inquiry form: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html
  19. HAHAHAHAHA they have that "Urgently Refreshing the Tracking Info Sensor" on the website
  20. This was both of us waiting to see where Jaycel's was... but it actually paid off. We got the delivery notification and I went running up to the mailbox. As i got there, I saw the mail carrier driving away to go to the other mailbox group in the apartment complex. I opened our mailbox and.... NO delivery from USCIS!!! So I go running down to the other set of mailboxes, showed the carrier the email confirmation and told him that it was not in our mailbox. So he came back up and opened the whole section of boxes and pointed to our box and said, "See? It's right..... uh-oh....". Turns out he put it in the box above ours 🤪 So our obsession with the tracking actually paid off in this instance
  21. Did your spouse E-File? If so, the Tax Return Transcript should be available in 21 days or less. Mine was available 14 days after E-Filing
  22. No... If they want them, they will ask for them. If you get scheduled for an interview however, bring them with you there
  23. I believe that if they determine you need an interview for the I-485 then your case gets transferred to the local field office closest to you
  24. Most if not all I-765s filed concurrently with I-485 are processed entirely at the NBC.
