    You have to wait for the card anyway.... The approval notice explicitly states that it cannot be used for work authorization. Congrats BTW!! The documents tab often lags behind the change in case status. Give it some time

    Also when you print it out, make sure the whole form is visible on the printed page: If you complete and print this form to mail it, make sure that the form edition date and page numbers are visible at the bottom of all pages and that all pages are from the same form edition. If any of the form’s pages are missing or are from a different form edition, we may reject your form. Make sure the edition date, page numbers and barcode are all showing

    Just make sure that when you fill it out again, you send the current edition of the form. According to the USCIS website 04/01/24 is the current edition: 04/01/24. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.

    One more question.... did you keep a copy of the whole packet you sent to USCIS when you filed?

    Is that first image you uploaded a scan or picture of the entire 2nd page? If not, could you upload the entire 2nd page with any receipt numbers/personally identifying information blacked out?

    Yes - Usually the same day as the biometrics, the case status for the AOS and the EAD will change to "Case is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS". Then within a couple of weeks, your EAD should get approved. I've seen timelines where it gets approved one or two days after the biometrics. Ours took almost exactly 2 weeks.

    I would be calling, asking to talk to supervisors every hour, maybe even going to the location and impressing upon them that you have a hard deadline for receipt of the I-693 or your application to USCIS will be denied. I would be the Royal pain in their A** until they gave me what I paid for

    Yes... You can manage it. And it WILL be worth whatever hurdles you have to jump to be with your husband here legally with no worries. As others have said, this is likely not a DIY. If you are going to spend the $$ on an attorney, do yourself a favor... carefully research and find yourself a reputable lawyer that does nothing but immigration law and preferably that specializes in family based immigration.     I know the Philippine Consulate in San Francico allows self-solemnized marriages from Colorado as long as you have the marriage certificate apostilied by the Colorado Secretary of State. I'm surprised the NY Consulate doesn't provide for that.

    When I made this comment I was under the impression that your most recent trip with the visa that expired in 9/2024 was the only time you overstayed your visa. My apologies if this caused any confusion but I did not know you had overstayed previously, departed and re-entered.

    USCIS will try to deposit a check a 2nd time if it is returned for insufficient funds the first time. If a credit card fails, USCIS will NOT retry it and will reject the submission

    Do you mean self-solemnized? Do you have a marriage certificate filed with a public authority (County Clerk/Recorder, Probate Court, etc.)?

    @Jayne to be clear, this last B2 visa that expired 9/24/2024 is the first time you overstayed one of your visas? All the other times you came to the US, you abided by the expiration dates on your visas and departed on-time?

    Everything I've read says that in most cases they do not make a decision on office closings/ceremony cancellations until the night before or the morning of.
