  1. Yes, she stuck to her guns, was calm, respectful but very insistent that she knew me very well and would not be going to a different country to marry someone who she didn't trust 1000%. The counselor finally gave up trying to scare her and let her go. This was before they started asking for FBI / Police clearances so if she had asked, we wouldn't have had one and I'm sure she would have denied her pending me getting one to her.
  2. I know it's the hardest in the world to do but you just gotta wait and let them do their thing. Hoping it comes soon!
  3. Today's stats: June 4, 2025 23:15 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 8,280 (+224) • Denied: 1176 • FingerprintScheduled: 84 • InterviewCancelled: 334 • InterviewScheduled: 10,308 (-61) • Processing: 20,705 (-182) • Received: 597 • Rejected: 102 • RFE: 424 • Terminated: 187 • Withdrawal: 35 • Others: 35
  4. There have been several reports lately of CFO asking for FBI clearance of the petitioner ever since that Filipina got killed by her husband in Europe somewhere 6 or 7 months ago. It seems to be at the whim of the CFO counselor rather than an official policy. I would get the email address and email it directly and CC your fiancée. I would also take a screenshot of the online instructions on the FBI website for getting the clearance where it specifically says that the clearance is usually emailed to you within 48 hours if you do the digital fingerprinting at the USPS. That should hopefully shut down the counselor's "anything gotten quickly is fake" BS. Let us know how it goes and good luck. Jaycel had a real peach of a counselor in Cebu who basically warned her that I was either going to murder her, cheat on her constantly or abandon her here in the US. 🤪
  5. You don’t need it to extend the tourist visa. BI can and often does ask to see either a return ticket or onward ticket upon initial entry to the Philippines, showing you are leaving before the 30 day expiration of the tourist visa stamp you get upon arrival. I was asked for this 2 out of the 3 times I entered the Philippines. Luckily I had a throwaway onward ticket showing my departure 28 days after my entry both times. I never had to show any ticket to extend my tourist visa at the BI office. Just twice upon initial entry
  6. Yes I've called a few of them and they say they won't do just the vaccine assessment. They say they have to do the whole medical exam again.
  7. It looks like so far it's only for the N400s so far because our I-485 case still shows the old version
  8. We just scheduled Jaycel to get her Polio vaccine at CVS on Sunday and then we will continue to look for a civil surgeon who will fill out the vaccine part of the I-693 for us
  9. Did you find a civil surgeon that did just the vaccine assessment?
  10. Thank you so much for sharing! Jaycel is missing the Polio vaccine so we are searching for a civil surgeon who will do the vaccine and just do the vaccine assessment of the I-693 for us
  11. Denver has a reputation of being one of the slowest field offices in the country sadly... Averages of 8-10 months from filing date to interview date and that seems to track with the 3 or 4 people I know who filed in Sept. 2024 just getting their interviews done in Denver this week and next week
  12. WOO HOO!!! 🎉 Congratulations!! Can you tell us about the interview?
  13. So much extra complication for you guys... Best of luck man!
  14. It's all good... I know how it feels my friend Not even having an interview scheduled yet is driving Jaycel crazy and she feels like USCIS has forgotten her. We did an Ask Emma session and the agent said that an interview was requested for our case on 3/13/25 so we are in the queue. It's just that the Denver FO is super slow and right now they are interviewing people that filed in Sept. 2024 so we have a couple of months to wait still. Some days are harder than others as I'm sure you all know 🥹
  15. Yeah I always think it's better to do now rather than under the pressure and time limit of an RFE. Let us know how it goes
  16. They will not schedule a K-1 visa appointment for you. The NVC only does that for immigrant visas. You will have to schedule the appointment yourself, but some embassies make you wait until they send you an email with instructions. That's why I tagged the person in the comment above because I don't know if Montreal makes you wait or not. Manila did not make us wait, we were able to sign up to the appointment website, fill out the DS-160, pay the fee and start searching for available appointments as soon as our case went to "Ready" status
  17. Not an issue... notify the Visa Officer at the interview like @MalloryCat mentioned and have her give the CBP Officer the correct address when they ask at her Port of Entry inspection
  18. This is from the FAQ on USCIS.gov Civil Surgeon / Vaccine requirements page Q: Did the CDC’s Vaccination Technical Instructions change for the polio vaccine? A: On May 1, 2024, the Vaccination Technical Instructions for Civil Surgeons changed for the polio vaccine. One dose of IPV should be given to anyone 2 months or older if they are not currently up to date according to ACIP recommendations, including adults who cannot show proof of the childhood vaccine series. If the Form I-693 was signed by a civil surgeon on or after May 1, 2024, the new polio vaccine requirement applies. https://www.uscis.gov/tools/designated-civil-surgeons/vaccination-requirements We are not going to take a chance on an RFE at the interview and we will go to a civil surgeon and get it done
  19. You will not get an invoice number from NVC for K-1 applications Go to this site to check your status https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
  20. I'm just telling you what was in her RFE - It said to complete the vaccine portion of the I-693 and return the signed and sealed report by a civil surgeon showing she has received the Polio vaccine to USCIS in response to the RFE
  21. She, like Jaycel, was given a blanket waiver for not being age appropriate because the guidance prior to May 2024 was that it was only appropriate to give to children I believe
  22. I think that the May 2025 update was to add the "12 months before travel to the US requirement" for the listed countries... The guidance on Polio is still that if you are 2 months old or older you have to get the vaccine or have proof it was administered
