  1. December 9, 2023 Online Filer... Our time is approaching. Let's keep this thread going.
  2. I do believe there is a way to place it on hold, but I am going to call @Crazy Cat- who I think might know the answer. Haha.. that was the first person I thought of!
  3. Yes they will ask- and honestly, your current wife should already know this information. Secrecy may be a red flag.
  4. I have seen some October approvals, but yes it seems random, hence the reason I think we should start asking questions.
  5. Agreed- I don't know how many times I have read someone on a forum say "every case is different" this was the response they got to there is "nothing that can be done" with no real answers given to them. The government is accountable to us, regardless. I plan on returning to the public school system to fill a much-needed teacher shortage, and my husband has a job offer already. Wait times for embassy appointments here are short. If we could just get this approval,,,, ahhha
  6. This is interesting. I will contact my Senator soon. I noticed the new director is "acting", so I am guessing they are looking for a permanent one.
  7. The NVC is part of the Department of State. No one is guaranteed within 30 days, not even spouse visas. Moderators like @Crazy Cat are well-educated in the immigration system. You came here for the right answers and that's what you are getting.
  8. So this is interesting... I was just on another forum and someone with a December 11, 2023 filing date was approved today, and their spouse is outside the country. I know they are in the midst of October, right now so it is highly possible for an approval soon.
  9. I have been thinking of contacting my Senator also. I have not reached 16 months yet, but I believe it is time to start advocating and asking questions and I think we are due some answers... the first one being Why are US citizens waiting so long? I think we have a right to ask questions. We pay the fee and are following the law, end of story. I know they have a new director now, so I am hoping for a change soon. Enough is enough... Times are only increasing it is not fair.
  10. This right here... As someone very familiar with Latin American culture, these things are very common in the culture and do happen.
  11. I don't think you have done enough research if you have come to the conclusion the an NOA2 is a visa approval. You have to have the embassy interview first, and as others have recommended, don't have the party.
  12. I saw this and had to rewind and replay.. Could not believe it!
  13. While I agree, that many people can be more productive at home, which benefits many industries, there is also a concern of personal information in people's homes and having no idea who is viewing the screen if the federal employee walks away to use the restroom, etc. Federal employees have access to a lot of people's info...
  14. Take a look at this... I shared this yesterday and this resource says consular processing is also included. https://www.boundless.com/blog/uscis-removes-covid-19-vaccine-requirement-for-immigrants/
  15. https://abcnews4.com/news/nation-world/trump-admin-drops-covid-vaccine-requirement-for-immigrants-immigration-covid-19-pandemic-thomas-massie-vaccination-status
  16. Hello- It looks like that as of today the COVID vaccine requirement has been dropped for medical appointments for both Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing! https://www.boundless.com/blog/uscis-removes-covid-19-vaccine-requirement-for-immigrants/ I know this is going to make a lot of people happy!
  17. President Trump just signed an executive order, stating that ALL federal employees must return to in-person work. I am hoping this will contribute to speeding up processing times!
  18. I have been using Translyte for my documents, They have a quick turnaround. https://translayte.com/
  19. I understand that I130 petitions for active military can be expedited.
  20. Thank you! It was helpful for me as my husband I prepare for this stage of the process, although we are not in Tawain- it helps us prepare for what may happen.
  21. I am in Honduras also... What do you mean by "services outside the embassy"? This has me a little nervous for you because there are so many -services outside the embassy and other government offices - holding people's bags, bank transactions, etc that are questionable. I always thought you selected passport return before the appointment. I agree with the others, call the embassy. keep us posted please...
  22. Glad everything worked out for you. Thankfully, my husband and I have been together through the whole process, believing that our I130 will be approved in the next three months and in the US by the end of this year! It really is a crazy time for everyone that goes through this.
  23. It really made me mad too. Unfair that we have to go through this while others get a free pass, many of which are contributing nothing but violence to the US.
  24. Yes. I had someone interpret the paperwork for my husband, to take myself out of the picture. My husband is not fluent in English, but I felt weird translating it for him, I did not want it to get flagged. If the person is not fluent in English, they MUST have an interpreter, because that person has to sign in also, and I don't think the spouse can be the interpreter.
  25. Anyone that is married has to check "Married". I sent in mine as "married filing separately" because my husband does not have a US SSN or Tax ID. It is never ok for a married person to file "single".
