And this is NOT something you want. I had an employee of mine that had a warrant and was arrested leaving the USA in Raleigh, North Carolina. CBP picked him up when he was at the gate to board his international flight and was subsecquently taken to the Meclenburg Jail in North Carolina. This is a detention center for illegal immigrants awaitsing removal proceedings.
This was a bad place and there was nothing I could do for him until he was extradited back here to Ohio. He spent 3 weeks there before going in front of a judge and told me the conditions there were not good.
My advice is to contact the Canadian Embassy, arrange your transportation back to Canada and start a life. Awaiting removal in a detention center is not something you want to do.

GringoD: Regardless of your personal opinion of someone with 4 DUI's - this is NOT a crime of moral turpitude.
Excuse my spelling at 2:30am. And someday you may want to attempt to become tactful, but I doubt that will happen.

That is what they will tell you. While the circumstances of you coming here was legal, you are now out of status and as such are "persona no grata". You will be told to leave.

Sounds like a wonderful mother and father. Too bad no one will give the OP the phone number to ICE (1-866-347-2423), being that THEY also are here illegally. Perhaps ICE could help the parents relocate also.

Your fiance will still need to file the I-134, even if he does not need to file taxes for the prior year.
Your co-sponsor must meet income for his household size + your fiance, so in this case it is 3 people. The minimum income must be at least $23,162.
Also - your co-sponsor MUST be a USC or LPR.

Are you actually still considering getting married to this woman? Have you even heard from her since she disappeared?
Some people think you are just a troll trying to create drama. I think you might actually be nuts!
How good of a wife do you think this woman will make based upon her actions since she arrived?

The "hoops" were obviously jumped through to the Consulate's satisfaction each time, and the Consulate is not a relationship counselor. As long as the paperwork is in order and there are no fraud indicators with regards to bonafied relationship the visa would have been granted. Plus payment for $350...
There is no limit to the number of K-1 visas a petitioner may apply for (there was 1 poster here a while ago that had 5 approved visas through the years).
It sounds like your indignant at the Consulates for approving the visa for the OP's beneficiaries. Why?

Well, when you get her side of the story let us know what it is. Until then there is no reason to kick a guy when he's down.
I would hope if something like this ever happened to you that someone would not be kicking your #### emotionally before it all even had a chance to sink in.

No problem, but heed my advice about having SOLID proof of an on-going, legitimite relationship at the interview stage. The Consulate may want to see more proof than normal of your intent to immigrate for marriage.
This means more than 1 trip to see each other, differing photographs of the 2 of you together during different visits, letters from family and friends certifying the relationship, emails, phone records, etc...
Be prepared and you'll be fine.

Wow. I'm REALLY sorry that this has happened to you, but before taking time to feel sadness, you NEED to PROTECT yourelf.
    1) If she has an ATM card to your account - shut it down.
    2) If she has passwords to any of your bank acounts, email accounts, ANY acount - change them immediately.
    3) Send a letter ASAP to USCIS and notify them of the course of events. This will protect you against her saying you were abusive. She can not apply for VAWA but she can allege abuse and you'd have a diffiult time to ever petition someone else if you decided to.
    4) Change the locks on your doorss. She has abandoned the premises but if she decided to return tonight and just enter your place you'd be powerless to do anything about it.
    5) Do NOT be alone with this woman if she contacts you. You could be set up for a potential abuse allegation.
I am so sorry that this has happened, but it could have been worse. You could have married this woman and thing could have become very difficult for you. Time heals - believe me when I say this but for now concentrate on protecting yourself.
    Goiod luck.

Can you wait 24 hours for her to be gone without beating the $hit out of the OP? Of course there are 2 sides to every story (actually 3... His, hers and the truth), but the resons she left are irrevalent right now and you'll probably never have the beneficiary post here to gt her side of things.
Regardless of the rationale that made the beneficiary just up and leave, there is a right way and a wrong way to do things.
