Ameen In my online research, I saw people with extensive travel history clearing AP in-between 3 to 6 months (before/without 2nd medical) and people without any travel history cleared there AP in 6+ months (mostly in-between 7 to 9 months ).. This whole AP is full with mystery.. So have hope and faith.

Oh one more thing , Almost in All countries (and In Islam) women cannot marry 2nd time if her husband is alive and she is not divorced . You can also use this point to counter polygamy , Rwanda Govt allowed you to marry , This means your wife us previously unmarried , Divorced or widow in there record . Yes , you can try to prove she was not married and her agent told her to lie and she lied , But this is all on USCIS and VO if she accept it or not. Best of luck.

Have your spouse ever traveled outside of her country since 2018 till 2020 ? If not then marriage in other countries is out of question . This will help too . And even if she did travel you can get the record from that country that your spouse didn't marry there . All the best .

Problem is mine Ds-5535 was online , so that's why I am worried about last status update or want to know How to contact embassy and ask if they got my form and it is accepted(as per there requirements) And you are right about me trying reading way to much , Thing is this been way to long ( I waited 3 years just for interview on spouse visa) this waiting is getting good out of me.

What is case update date at CEAC means ? How will I know if embassy got my Ds-5535 and the form is as per there requirement ? Its been 10 days and I have no response . Should I contact them ? How to contact Islamabad Embassy for immigrant visa(can any one help me with email). Thank you all for responding to my thread and my questions.

No , I just got mine 10 days ago , so i m very new to it ... People did got replies (and visas) from 2 weeks to 1 years in most cases some are still waiting over 1+ year and veery few are waiting from 2+ years. If you don't mind me asking , can you please tell us , When did you got yours ? When was your interview and where ? and Please Also tell us about visa category.

So far , My research tells me Ds-5535 is security check black hole , If you got Ds-5535 this means all of your documents are clear but need security check , Applicant personally need security check (In USA , from the countries applicant visited or lived for more then 6 months) . This could take 2 weeks to ....................................... As long as your bad luck continue.. I may be wrong in making this opinion so early . But lets see. May God Have Mercy On Me. Ameen

I am so said to hear what is going on with you and all other (just like me) in AP , especially DS-5535 .. Slips color doesn't matter any more if you get Ds-5535. There are 4 to 5 types of checks in DS-5535 , Majority applicant(male/female) from ME and SA area(espacliiy Muslims) have to go/need to clear 2 to 3 out of these 4 to 5 , each can take up to 120 days ,, now do your math . To be honest , this whole ds5535 thing is mainly only targeting Muslims from Muslims majority countries and some other random countries (where applicants have high fraud ratio) or some countries where applicant have duel nationality or applicant was citizen of other country before (manlily Canada) ...... After extensive search online , I find out Immigration department is sitting on cases , they know the applicant is clear but thay don't have tools to clear the applicant in system (sounds strange/unusual) , Some time I feel "system" love breaking families (Just check how many family related Immigration applicants are in 221g/Ds-5535).. This stress/pain of waiting is just too much . Just check how easily judge said 16 months is not too much , Does that judge know that applicant have to wait 2 years to 10 years just to get DQ , and some time 1 year to 4+ years just for Interview and then this AP(Ds-5535) and Judge said 16 months is not too long .. My wife applied for my visa(spouse) in 2016 , USCIS accepted petition in 2018 , DQ in 2021 , waited 3 full years for interview , on interview day got Ds-5535 , and Now I don't know how long more will it take ... Isn't this enough for judge or the "System" 7+ years for Spouse Visa, come on is there any limit, there need to be sir/madam ... Immigrants in USA need to raise there voice on this discrimination ..... Make a platform to raise the voice , go to Senators and Congressman/woman .... Make your voice heard , March on roads to register your peaceful protest for your constitutional rights ... Maybe today you are not directly impacted by this , but in future you maybe , because your past is connected with your future(as per the current "System"). DOS only need Will , some extra funds , manpower and some system updates to clear this .... Thank you all for reading

Hello Every one . Thanks every one for answering and participating in my thread. Again I am here with few questions I hope you all will answer and help me out #1: What is case status update on CEAC ? #2: What this means ? #3: How significant this is for applicant in AP ? #4: How often one can get this case status update? #5: When can I expect my first update after submitting Ds-5535 ? #6:Do I need to worry if I don't get any update in 2 weeks (Mine is showing the date of my interview (Is this means no update ). #7:How will I know Embassy received my Ds-5535 and the form is correct and got accepted ? For info I haven't received any email from them.

So , Look like This will take time .. Any idea what will they verify and check with UK Agencies ? Which Agencies are involved ? I am very hopeful and praying if they start checks quickly so then UK Agencies can provide them info quickly , I am clean person , Have no tension or worries ,, My only worry is time , This been already too long (waited 3 years for interview).. I hope and pray security checks get priority bases on category and PD .... Thanks for your response...

Nothing extradentary I am aware off , only 4 questions asked , 4th question was about my travel history "Have you ever traveled out side of Pakistan" I said yes .. then, that's it got 221g yellow slip .......... Whole thing took 2 to 3 minutes max ..(On my DS-260 I did provide them the info that I traveled outside of Pakistan , but no history because on Ds-260 it only ask any travel in last 5 years )

I am in AP , DS-5535 , yellow slip , uploaded the form , no response,,,, My interview was on 6th of Feb , Uploaded the form with in 24 hours ... Category IR1... With Travel history (was not able to provide detail of my Travels on DS-260 because DS-260 only ask traveling in last 5 years and my traveling is 8+ years old now) .. Did you have yellow slip and white slip(221g) as well , and what about your category ? any travel history?

Dear bondy88 , Thank you for replying , That's what I am really confused about , UK is not a country where records are not kept safe , We all know UK have a very good system ,So why not at NVC level (when people uploaded there UK police certificates) Immigration Department do these checks to safe time ? This isn't that hard ... And one more thing Why "They" don't do required checks on immigrant applicant "IN USA" when file/case is at NVC waiting for interview or at USCIS waiting for approval , I don't see any harm in it , Applicant who never been to USA 100% don't have any record or Data in USA , so why not safe time ? Why NVC or other related/concerned department don't send an email to other relevant department in USA and clear the applicant Data????? This will again save money , effort , emotional stress , time , families can be untied earlier instead of going AP ..

You said 66K AP cases with only 35 employees to work on them , Is this number include every country in the world or just your country ( I assume Canada ) , If this is only for Canada then how can I find out number for Pakistan ? And can any one help out ,what is 221g Yellow slip . DS-5535 , i already sent the form . Thank you vey much .

For Us , especially for me , the most worrying thing is Doctors are not able to pin point what is wrong with my wife , Her MRI is dew on 17th of this month ,,,,, According to Doctors this could be nothing(minimum/miner) issue to ....... I don't even want to name the illness ....O God ,, I am so heartbroken and stressed-out.... Total wait time is 7 years and 6 months ,,,, waited 3 years for interview and now this AP , especially when I provided all police reports of my stay in other countries.... Dam this heart.

And should My wife attach her medical condition certificate from Doctor ?

Covid vaccinate certificate never expired . And you cannot change or update DS-260 once it is filled and uploaded on NVC portal (unless portal show its open) .... Tell the officer in person or you can wait if officer issue any other form to fill.

Hello Everyone, I am from Pakistan , Had my interview on 6th Feb 2024 , Category is IR1 (Changed from F21) , VO asked only 3 questions , Handed me white slip (221g) and yellow slip (DS-5535) And told me to fill the form , returned my Doc and passport,,,,,, I asked anything wrong with my doc he replied no , he didn't take any info from me and also didn't provide me any info ,,, I have travel history (2 countries) , one is short term visa to KSA and one is long term stay in UK , (I uploaded police report from UK on NVC portal , also showed it to VO and it was clear ),,,, Me and my spouse waited 3 years for interview date (yes , you read it right) then after my status changed to IR only then i got my interview , no I am IN AP (God knows how long i have to wait) , My family (wife and my 2 years old son) waiting for me , these past 7 years were already horrible for me and my family now this AP , On top of that my wife is sick and Doctors are not able to find out the cause of sickness ,, She need me the most now and I am in 221g White slip (yellow slip ds-5535) AP ,, Thats all about me ..... Mu questions are; What is this White221g and Yellow Slip ? How long does it take ? What can I do other then waiting ? What can my wife do (us national) ? Can my 2 years old US born son be any help ? Why USA didn't did background check before ? (when visa applicant is waiting for interview or when applicant fill DS-260) Can I request to speed up the AP (on bases my wife medical condition) ?
