I've got a passport card few weeks ago for several reasons. It can be used as a form of identification, it is much easier to carry than a passport(you never know), and I live in Michigan. This weekend I used it for the first time, went to Windsor, Canada with friends and two of us used passport cards and one had enhanced DL. It was a breeze on the both sides, literally less than a two minutes to cross. I also carry in a case when we are on the lake boating, just in case becase it half US and half Canadian jurisdiction. I would definietly recommend getting one, especially now when we can hear and read stories about people being targeted based on their color, ethnicity and accent. Better safe than sorry!

I'm from MI, and I applied for the passport and passport card day after the ceremony. Got the passport in a two weeks and passport card a few days after. Still did not change DL because it is expiring in a year and I will change then. Went to Canada this weekend with the passport card no issues.

That is the building you probably had interview on Stephenson hwy on a third floor. You should ask at the security check ponit, they might let him in. Come just 15 miniutes eralier to give them the application and submit gc.

I was told that social security is bit slow processing, so to wait about a month before checking. Hopefully by then I'll get my certificate back.

Had my oath on Thursday, finally citizen🇺🇸 Can't belive that it's over. Applied for the the passport and passport card on Friday. Next thing is DMV after I get passport and certificate back. They told us that Social Security should be updated if we checked on the application, but just in case I will double check with them in a month. My employer is notified as well, do I'm missing something?

I had interview at the Troy,MI office. My oath is tomorrow but in downtown Detroit court house, and it does not state anything regarding guests. It just says "cellphones are okay"

Hi, I had a combo interview(N400/I751) at the Troy office on May 20th, I've got the notification the same day in the afternoon for the oath. It is scheduled on June 12th in the court downtown Detroit. I would try to contact them and ask. Hopefully you will get the same day as I did!

I made a mistake at the Y/N question part, "have you ever received any weapons trainig, paramilitary training, or other type of military-type training". I thought that it is related only on military/army type of training so I answered NO. I am a CPL(concealed pistol licence) holder, and while reviewing aplication before the interview I was concerned that I made a mistake. At the interview, before officer started that part, I was asked did anything changed. I told officer there is a question that I was not completely sure did I answer right, explained to her everything and she said that it happens and it is completely ok. She changed the answer to yes, added a comment that is CPL training and at the end of the interview I was just asked to confirm and singn the change on tablet. So don't worry, it is not a big deal, just be honest to the officer and explain before the review of the application starts.

I had combo interview this mornining and everything went well. Now just waiting the ceremony to be scheduled. Can't believe that is finally over, I'm a citizen!

Yes, it is a joint one, notice states that presence is must. Can't belive that journey is almost over

Just got notification for the combo interview(I751 and N400), it is scheduled for May 20th. Applied online on Dec 16th, Detroit, MI. Interview is at the local field office in Troy, MI, which is like 2 miles from my house. Previosly for the GC interview I had to go downtown Detroit.

Submitted N 400 yesterday, under the 3 year rule and got biometric reuse right away.

What is yours service center, mine is CSC. USCIS website shows 22 months processing time for CSC

Don't worry, mine came as well two days apart. Fist bio re-use and after two days receipt notice.

You still have valid GC and if you come back by March it will be ok. But file the I 751 ASAP.

I think you can mark just one, not like you did (d,c,g).

I was expecting to see the notice online, but nothing yet. Hopefully it will show up.

Mine was delivered on 01/22, they charged my credit card on 24th, case showed up online this morning. Same lockbox, same person signed
