  1. Your post is confusing. How did the applicant enter the US if they were denied at the embassy?
  2. You could be on the radar for denaturalization if it was discovered that you obtained your green card and us passport fraudulently
  3. Is your significant other a Canadian citizen? Why are you inquiring about tourist visa. Canada gets 6 months but would not use all at once
  4. Do you maintain a US driver license or state ID? Bank account? Apartment lease? Sounds like you're getting too casual with your coming and goings.
  5. The NVC would be able to give you the embassy case number which is different from the USCIS receipt number. You probably have to wait a few weeks to get the NVC case number. Ours took a month to be ready as our timelines indicate.
  6. I would wait a few weeks then use the public inquiry form from nvc. It will tell you whether they have the petition and when it shows ready pay fees and schedule at embassy
  7. You can not marry in the US and adjust status. Must return for embassy processing
  8. Make sure you have the i-485 i130 the i 864, i693 and if desired i765 and 131. Use separate checks.
  9. Was it the intention of adjusting status before entering the US?
  10. Why do you need a lawyer to help? K1 process is fairly straightforward. Most complete on their own
  11. Please complete your timelines. Did you apply for work permit? If not you have to wait until the actual green card arrives
  12. On the AOS form use the new name and underneath use maiden name. Request for a new SSN on both the 485 and 765 forms. My wife's new social security card was mailed automatically once the 765 was approved
  13. Some embassies don't even ask for the I 134 at the interview but you will definitely need the 864. If you don't comfortably meet the income requirement you'll deal with an rfe
  14. No because it's difficult to ascertain the value of the assets
  15. The petitioner will have to find a joint sponsor
  16. Was it the intention of adjusting status before you entered the US?
  17. Use a check for payment. Easier to check and track. Credit card payments routinely get denied due to fraud concerns
  18. The deadline for the I 94 is 75 days from entering the US
  19. Yes you can submit the I485 without the SSN. You don't need a state ID either. There's a question on the 485 and 765 if you want a social security number issued when your form is approved.
  20. Please complete your timelines. Not sure when you entered the US but SSA will not issue a number beyond the 75 day mark of the I 94. Others may have more experience with the Vietnamese naming convention. For the I485 list the desired name first. Any other names should be listed below the first line on form. As for state ID, you have to wait until the employment authorization is received. Definitely spend the extra money for it. File the I485 as soon as possible and carry the receipt notification as proof of Status
