  1. @Resilient111 awww congratulations to you. That’s some good news. I believe once they send the passport out to the mailing company, they’ll send you an email. I used to check the visa-info site (where you registered for your visa delivery) to see the tracking number. I don’t remember them sending the tracking number to us. However, I believe the mailing company will contact you when it’s ready for pick up.
  2. @M S Khan that’s good to know. Congratulations to you both. It’s been such a journey.
  3. @M S Khan Hi, any update on your case after the interview?
  4. @Resilient111 Hi, that’s good news. Though, ours moved from “Refused” to “Issued”, everyone's I know that changed from “Refused” to “Administrative Processing” saw “Issued” the next day or two. I think they’re just working on your documents and will issue the visa shortly. Congratulations!
  5. You need to send the original to the embassy. They don’t want a copy.
  6. @Resilient111 oh okay. If the date was updated, then they have it. It might take a while for it to be issued. Hopefully, they do that next week. All the best to you.
  7. @Resilient111 If it hasn’t updated, it might mean they haven’t received the passport yet. That mailing company is the worse. Did you track to see if it has been delivered yet? My husband submitted the passport on Thursday and the embassy received it on Monday and we saw an update on Monday. However, we saw “issued” on Thursday.
  8. Is your name change due to you taking your husband’s last name? When I did mine 8 years ago, I did the ceremony the same day I had the interview and I dropped my last name for my husband’s last name. I remember at the interview, the officer told me if I wanted to keep my last name and still add my husband’s name (hyphenated), it would have to go through a process and that would delay my naturalization process.
  9. @Resilient111 You have to wait to see it issued in CAEC first. My husband’s visa was issued on Thursday and we received a notification from the embassy on Friday that they had sent the package to the mailing company. The company delayed the delivery; they kept changing the date so he received the passport in hand on the following Wednesday.
  10. @M S Khan Wow I can’t imagine what you guys are going through. I believe it will work out for the good. I wish all the best. Keep us updated.
  11. @M S Khan Hi, did you have your interview? How did the interview go?
  12. @JeanneAdil I think you missed the misrepresentation part. It looks like that’s what OP is worried about if I understood the post well.
  13. @M S Khan could it be that she said something at the interview cause this?
  14. @M S Khan I think you should be fine since you have spent lots of time together. They basically would ask you same questions to see if your answers match. All the best to you.
  15. @M S Khan Oh wow, I’ve heard of that before but I think it happens when they don’t believe the genuineness of the marriage. You would think the London Embassy is an easy one until you go there. That place is tough.
  16. @Resilient111 yes, our case took a little to 6 months after the interview before we heard from the embassy to redo the medicals. But the visa was issued after 6 months and a week.
  17. @M S Khan yes, because he got his passport back and the medical had expired so we knew there was no way anything would be done without they contacting him first. I felt nervous anytime I went to check so I stopped.
  18. @M S Khan yes, it was from that email address.
  19. @M S Khan That could be a good sign. We stopped checking for my husband’s at a point so I don’t know the number of updates we had before they requested for a new medical. However, when he received the email and I checked, there had been an update that same day. London is known to be a faster consulate and tries to complete AP within 6 months so you are close. It could be that the delay was from her home country. Some of the countries have bad records keeping and are slow to respond to other consulate enquirers. All the best to you guys.
  20. @M S Khan Hi, any update on your wife’s visa?
  21. Sorry this happened to you. Just file the I-90 like the others have said. We wanted to avoid this so my husband waited a little over a month after our 2 year anniversary to come so they don’t get confused and send us a conditional green card and it worked. We received the card last Thursday and it was the 10 year card. Good luck to you.
  22. AOS is for people that are already in the US. Maybe you should let your US citizen file an I-130 for her and see what happens. The worst case will be a denial or them requesting a DNA test for you and your daughter.
  23. Looks like a plan thing. He knows what he’s doing and has been coached.
  24. @Melancholic Mage Thank you, I appreciate your response. Yeah he received the SS card exactly after a week of his arrival. This makes me a bit relieved. We’ll keep waiting.
  25. @JayFromTexas Can you share the exact date in August your spouse entered the US? My husband entered on September 11 and we’re still waiting to hear from the USCIS about his green card. He said they didn’t take any biometrics at his POE.
