HES BEEN APPROVED!! We applied March 25, he had his biometrics appointment yesterday and literally walking out of the building got the notice they are processing it.

I got a notice at 4:43 am that action had been taken on his case, to see this:

    Card Is Being Produced
We have approved your Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card

They had said it would be 6 months to make a decision from yesterday, it was less than 24 hours!
  4. Thanks

I would file the I-90 and wait for their response before worrying about the I-485.

NDmomof4 reacted to JeanneAdil in Has anyone flown with a cat in the cabin through Lufthansa?
Many airlines did stop household pets from flying in the cabin for many reasons
1 man tried to bring in a small alligator (this is for real and can be seen on youtube)
and many stopped because the pets were too big
others were afraid of the bird flu and stopped pet birds
Luthansia still allows small cats and dogs but the cage is added to animals weight and u pay for extra carry on
If the cat needs to go into the hold,  he will be fine just make sure u keep his shot record with u at all times so he isn't put into quarantine

So it would be up to the ECO at the port of entry? Do you know if he went before a judge for removal proceedings how liklely they'd take our circumstances into account, and if it would negatively impact a potential future application for a new green card? It's been an incredibly difficult journey for our family, we wanted to go back for a long time but we literally couldn't afford it.

I would bring a print out of this: https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2021-Dec/Reminder- LPR Boarding 20210305.pdf.

People with expired 10 year green cards are to be boarded.

You could fly through Ireland and do pre-clearance if you don’t want to be worrying the whole flight over the Atlantic.

It seems to me like you priority is getting back to the US. You can deal with whatever afterwards. I haven’t seen posts about people getting notices to appear and I’m guessing  it’s extremely unlikely. They would be swamped with cases with people abroad due to COVID. I just doesn’t seem like it’d be a priority with the backlog in immigration cases.

I don't think a few months would matter.  Good luck.  Please keep us informed...
