    I had my interview on September 6th, but the status still shows "READY." I find it confusing that the officer mentioned we should expect our passports within 10 days if they knew the visas wouldn’t be ready until after October 1st. My assumption is that when they invite an applicant, they reserve a visa for them, which counts toward the available visas. Once all visas are either reserved or issued, they announce that the fiscal year's limit has been reached. here is what I think will happen:

    Thanks! The officer didn’t provide any information about the availability of the EB1 visas. At the end of the interview, he only mentioned that my visa was approved, they would retain the passports, and I should expect to receive them in about ten days. He also mentioned they would try to expedite the return of the passports so I could get back to work and my children could return to school. If, as you mentioned, EB1 visas won’t be available until the next fiscal year (October 1st), why are they scheduling interviews in early September?

    My E1 visa was approved. I spent about 20 minutes with the first officer, who verified my employment letter and civil documents. Then, I had a brief interview with the second officer, who asked standard questions such as how long I’ve been with my U.S. company, the nature of my work, my highest degree, and if I’ve had any issues crossing the U.S. border. Behind the officer, there were about seven people who appeared to be in training, which suggests they are expanding their capabilities. Good luck to everyone.

    2550 Finch Ave W, North York, ON M9M 2G3 here it is, it took me a couple of weeks trying to find a pharmacy in the US that can do it with no luck. After my medical exam I start calling pharmacies in Toronto. After several attempts, I found this one . Good luck!

    I am not sure if you have solved the Covid vaccine issue. If not, I can give you the name of the pharmacy in Toronto that they still have it. I just got it today.

    I also booked the appointment with the same doctor and didn't notice the "within the last year" requirement in the vaccination table. My last COVID vaccination was in May 2021, and I was not planning to get a booster. I will call them to ask about this and find out what to do if the vaccine is not available.

    Q. Certain vaccine series can only be completed with multiple visits to the civil surgeon. Am I required to complete the entire series before the civil surgeon can sign the Form I-693? A. You are only required to receive a single dose of each vaccine when you visit the civil surgeon. You are encouraged to follow up with your private health care provider to complete the series. Once you have received the single dose appropriate at the time, the civil surgeon can sign and certify the Form I-693. The COVID-19 vaccine is the exception to this requirement. You must complete the COVID-19 vaccine primary series (for example, 1 or 2 doses, depending on which vaccine, in adults; 2 or 3 doses, depending on age and which vaccine, in children) and provide documentation of vaccination to the civil surgeon in person before completion of the medical examination.     Congratulations! Same here! I also received my IL. EB1 DQ on May 16, 2023.

    Considering how quickly they've been processing EB visas lately (at a rate of 2 months per month), I don't believe you're completely screwed. If your new DQ is in March-April, you might still receive an interview letter within 6 months or possibly even sooner.
