  1. This has now been changed on the site to reflect "you must submit the original Certificate of Naturalization," You do not need to obtain a Certified True Copy if the U.S. government asks for a copy of your certificate for official U.S. government business. You may use a normal photocopy of your certificate for legitimate U.S. government business. For example, when you apply for a U.S. passport, you must submit the original Certificate of Naturalization, and you should also submit a normal photocopy that has not been authenticated.
  2. This is old I know but USCIS sent my 10 year old a notice on how to set up an online account which we did. Not sure why yours says 14 and above. We filed her N600 online with no issues under her account.
  3. If you are traveling soon I wouldn't apply yet as you have to give up the green cards at the time of application and who knows when you will get your passports.
  4. Biometrics are not required for a N600 I think they only do those if they suspect fraud. " USCIS may require that you appear for an interview or provide fingerprints, photograph, and/or signature at any time to verify your identity, obtain additional information". Also if they require it you will have to pay an additional fee.
  5. Our letters show up online but when you click it just goes to an error page with null null so they don't have things worked out very well.
  6. Thanks I missed that post. There isn't a whole lot of information out there on step parent adoption and removal of conditions. I guess there are not that many people that reach the 2 year mark on adoption before they need to send in paperwork to remove conditions.
  7. My daughters got their 2 year green cards based on my being their step parent. I had adopted them though prior to them getting their green cards. Their 2 year adoption anniversary comes up before I need to apply to get their conditions removed. I have done lots of research but I can't find any answers to the question if they have to have conditions removed before they automatically become citizens or does the green card they have now cover that for citizenship purpose. I don't want to miss filing and then discover that they needed a 10 year card to qualify for citizenship. Has anyone else been thru this that might have an answer?
