  1. Did he vote in federal or local/state election? Some state allows LPR to vote. But federal election is a no no(very serious offence). Find out if it was a local one. and if the state allows apr to vote.
  2. Yes . You can transfer with reference made up of first 4 letters of surname DOB and First Initials
  3. My lawyer said if they want proof they will ask for it before interview. If they don’t then we are good to go.
  4. Yes it has. Nothing just first page of passport, one proof of address, and a photo. I also called them and asked If I don’t have valid visa , will it be a problem. Answer was doesn’t make any difference. It’s been two weeks already, so I guess I will be fine 🤞
  5. No problem. I am not worried most they can do is tell me to transfer my case back home or issue me the visa. Amount of backlog in my country is astronomical so I will happily take the chance. I called Acro and they said I should receive the pcc next week. If I get it without any trouble, I am sure everything else would be fine.
  6. I applied on 17th and when ever I call them for updates they say it’s due to leave on the 3rd of may. Looks like exactly 15 working day for me. Hopefully yours will be quicker.
  7. I applied for one last week. docs needed: passport, one proof of address and passport size photo. Application done via email. Timeframe 15 working days. Attached the application form if you need it Police Certificate Application Form.zip
  8. I am currently going through same issue and I am going to try and see if they let me interview. If they let me I don’t think they can deny me solely based on my legal status unless I am inadmissible Finger crossed for the UK police certificate to arrive. This is I think the main road block.
  9. Is you I-130 approved? I have read so many interview experience of people living in foreign countries. But no one ever mentioned they were asked for proof of residency in case of CR1/IR1 visa
  10. Hi fiance is a non immigrant visa. When you go with a DS160 I know for a fact they want to see uk resident permit. Try applying for Spouse visa. I have applied for police certificate, which I think is the main issue. I was afraid they won’t give me until I leave uk. Finger crossed they said I should get mine next week. My lawyer Said if I am able to get an appointment I should attend because they are not able deny visa unless I am inadmissible for some reason or the marriage is fake.
  11. Yes. And the marriage certificate stated that we are both residing in the UK at the time of ceremony. You can give your Brazilian address as your current residence.
  12. Ok about that, same situation as your she came to UK and also I am not a UK citizen. Regarding consummation , we were in the same room sitting next to each other when the Utah clerk officiated the wedding. She also visited me once after submitting the I-130. And I uploaded those boarding pass as unsolicited evidence. She had plan to visit again but it was approved. One more thing we are Muslim so we also had a religious marriage and the imam also gave us a marriage certificate. Which was also included with the evidence although it has no legal value. We choose Utah because she would have to get a marriage visa to come to uk. Which is waste of time and money. So she just came under visa waiver program and we got married. people will say lots of things and I was sceptical at first but just read the actual rules and you will be fine.
  13. Did you upload proof of legal status in NVC? Thanks
  14. How was your interview? Did they ask anything about Utah marriage?

    Thanks

  15. For Uk - status not asked when applying for PCC or doing medical. I am just worried about the VO gonna ask me
  16. Can remember how many days ago. So that I can watch it thanks
  17. I have valid drivers licence . Thanks for the info.
  18. How did you get the medical done? thanks
  19. That’s good to know. I was thinking of just claiming asylum in uk. It will give some legal basis. But I am afraid it might send me to administrative processing.
  20. I might as well try. The backlog is horrendous in my country.
