  1. Hi guys,

Here is my experience from today interview in Garden city.

Me and my husband came there at 1:30pm. It was so much people there, and immediately I got headache. I can't remember when they call us upstairs (because immigration officer was mean, and I don't feel good right now). But I know that it was around 3pm and we were waiting upstairs.

Then she came and said my name, and I said it's me and she brought G-325A form for my husband to fill it. I was so confused beacuse it is written on instruction that american citizen exept for name and signature doesn't need to repeat information given on I-130, but whenever we fill it and then after 15 minutes she came and we gave her, and she call us to come in office.

She swear us, and ask us 2 times do we need interpretor, and we said no.

After that she asked both of us for birth certificate with translation, certified copy of marriage certificate, my ead, passeport ofme and my husband, and she asked for divorced papers from my husnad since he was married before. We gave her everything and then she started questions. She asked first my husband about his previos marriage, how he met his wife, and what she worked, and how many siblings she had, and where did they live, and why they divorced. Then he asked him how we met, what did I do when we met, and did he ever met my family, and where they live.

Then he asked me my address, and my husband phone number, and what my husnad work, and did he work for somone or he is self-empoyed, and how many sibling he has, and where his family live, and did I ever meet them, and talk to them. Did I ever saw his ex wife, and how much money my husband make????O my God...Then she asked me how long we are being together, and where we got married.

And then she asked me yes/no questions, and she said us that we bring there certifed copy of divorced degree before they make decision, and my husnad told her these are the only divorced papers that I have, and she wasn't clear. I don't understand her, because she said that they might have decision even tomorrow, or on Monday???What a heck, he needs to drive 7 hours to get certified merriage paper, she didn't accept one that we had???

But anyway she wrote this in my passport:

    She remove I-94, and wrote

A.....(that is case number she wrote)

    I-485 Pending/CR-6

    Present at GCU-NY/sec.245

    her name and date

So what do you guys think, she didn't stamp my passport, I don't know what to think

Well i believe since she took your EAD i guess you have nothing to worry about as long as you provide what she's asking for.....I hope someone will come along to explain better for you.

    Good luck

  2. Thanks everyone, my packet has finally been delivered today!! And I sent it off on the 8th, via PRIORITY SHIPPING too...geez, it took them 12 days!! Aww I hope I don't have to become a March filer, all becoz of stoooooooooooopid USPS!! :ranting::angry:

Woohoo, the most important thing is that it got there.

And i am sure you can stay with us!! :)

But definitely call USPS and get a refund. It is not acceptable!!!

I know right! Geez 12 days! And it got bounced back and forth too!! But we only paid like 5 bucks, so my hubby would probably go, oh gee forget it! :innocent::lol: Though, what a great relief, and I hope to stay with you guys too. Now I hope I get my NOAs before March.

From my estimation, you should get your NOA's as soon as friday.

I think the USCIS is fasten things up now

  3. Hey guys...

We sent out our package on the 15th and are just waiting for it to be picked up, hopefully by tomorrow.

We just have one concern. We currently live in Hudson, WI with Mel's parents but we're thinking of moving to Maplewood, MN in a few months. Here's the issue. We want to retain our Wisconsin residency but since we'll be living in MN, all our utility bills will have a MN address. We will both have WI driver's licenses.

I am just wondering what are the implications of having two addresses on this process...

Thanks in advance for any responses!!!

    Welcome on board :)

  4. I'm so frustrated!! USPS sucks!!! So much!!! :protest: I sent my package off on the 8th, and it's still not delivered yet!!! Plus, it's supposed to be priority shipping too! Aww and it's President's Day tomorrow too, so they won't be working.. I really hope and pray they didn't lose my package..... :(

I suggest you call the USPS and find out about your package..It's kinda strange, we sent ours via USPS too and it was delivered 2days after..

    Good luck

  5. Hey Everyone,

Tomorrow is our 1 year wedding anniversary!!! We have passed through trials and tribulations this past year, and we made many great and happy memories too!!! ;) It passed so quickly, neither one of us can beleive that it has been a year. :o I know that we have many happy years ahead of us. :luv: Thank You VJ family for being there to support us. :star: It is important to me that people know that while marriage is not always easy and happy times, you can pass through the difficult times together and lean on each other. A successful marriage is a lot of hard work, and times can be rough, keep things in perspective and remember why you married each other. (L) The first year is not an easy one, adjustments to so many things. :help: (both of you) Good Luck to everyone, I hope to see other topics filled with happy mile stones. :D

    Blessings to All, (F)

    Heather

    Congratulation!

  6. Hello,

Finally moved from the K1 forum to the AOS forum!

How long is it taking to get EAD, AP and Green Card now?

    Thanks.

I know for sure you get EAD within 90 days of filling, AP at least a week or two before your travel date but for green card the duration varies some get their green card in 5-6 months and some get stuck in the FBI name check which can take up to 2years.............Somebody please correct me if i am wrong and welcome to the AOS forum :)

    Good Luck
