  1. My question is. Is this initial visa applicaiton done as a Tourist Visa? They haven't made up some other visa like a new catergory calle a B4 for this? B4 is just an example
  2. I think it's a great way to get a nanny or maybe a live in helper to come from that area since they are allowed to work
  3. Is this filed under B1/B2? I looked at the link and didn't see the link to Tourist Visa?
  4. I wonder why just those countries Why not El Salvador or Guatemela?
  5. Nah Seen too many Fil-Am friends get parents gets tourist visa The unwritten rule for tourist visa from Philippines is the "Old' and "Rich" easily get them, she checks the boxes on both
  6. Why would my wife want to sponsor her mother for greencard? Her mother has no desire to live in USA. She has her life in Philippines. My wife has been in USA 9 years now. If and when I die, my wife would move back to Philippines where all her family is. Plus regarding my mother in law, She is married forever, all of her family is in Philippines, her 3 other daughters live in Philippines, if she came to USA to live she would only have my wife, it wouldn't be a good fit for her, plus when people get old they don't want to move
  7. It shouldn't be an problem, she has already had about 3 of her sisters get US tourist visa in the past We have a handful of Fil-Am couples we hang out with and all their parents were approved Mother in law should be a slam dunk, She is over 60, has land and property, Bank Accounts, and travel history, and ties back to Philippines with husband and 3 more daughters, and my wife is US Citizen, her husband is retired with pension in Philippines for a US owned company.
  8. 👍 I am flying American Airlines, Based in my home city. I think AA is the largest airline in the world based in the 3rd largest airport in the world, and they consume a lot of DFW airport, and in Cancun they have lots of check in agents, I am sure they know the rules and it not like it's there first time to fly to Cancun, Last I checked American Airlines had 8 non stop flight per day to Cancun, it's just a 2 hour flight from wheels up in Dallas to Cancun. I have made countless trips to Cancun, it too easy and quick to get to not to go.
  9. Really? That seems rather silly and lots of work. I am sure banks see thousand of transactions per day over 10K. That can't be a true. Maybe a cash transaction over 10K but not any transaction over 10k.
  10. Interesting story for sure. That's a major bummer she had to get denied entry into Mexico. I am still kinda shocked she got turned out in Cancun since it's a major tourist airport for people all over the world, It seems that would only happen like a smaller less traveled airport in Mexico. We were hitting Mexico pretty hard during the panedemic like you said it was one of the few places open for tourism, and the all inclusive hotels were dirt cheap back then in Cancun and the resorts had very few people, it was pretty cool. I can hop a plane and be in Cancun in 2 hours.
  11. Dang Never had to deal with any stuff like that, My wife finally had to go to USCIS office and get one of those I-551 stamps since her extension letter ran out for travel. She used that for travel back to Philippines from what I can remember.
  12. Exactly, It's not that big of deal. I have been to Cancan numerous times maybe 30 times, and taken my wife back when she only had like an extension paper for a expired greencard, no issues ever. From what I have Cancun Airport is a breeze to deal with.
  13. She was flying to Mexico from USA with a valid US tourist visa? I bet your wife was flying from Asia to Mexico and not from USA to Mexico. Why didn't she come to USA first and you fly with here to Cancun?
  14. I am more worried about getting back into USA not Mexico. We fly AA they have tons of flights going to Cancun, Book them thru Costco Travel. I just got off with phone with American Airlines they confirmed no problems traveling to Mexico with valid US tourist visa, I got a supervisor on the phone to confirm.
  15. Please don't believe everything you read on the internet I will rely on the official US Government and follow their rules B-1 or B-2 Visas: During your visit to the United States, you may visit Canada or Mexico for up to 30 days and re-enter the United State, if you re-enter within the timeframe indicated on the Form I-94 that you received when you first entered. Traveling to other countries while in the United States on a B1 or B2 visa (cbp.gov)
  16. Makes sense As of now really don't know how long she will stay, We will play it by ear once she arrives. I wouldn't be surprised if me or my wife flies back to Philippines with here. That US Tourist Visa is proving to be a pretty cool deal. We can be in Cancun Airport in less than 2 hours from my airport.
  17. Did I understand that correctly? My wife mother is applying or Tourist Visa to USA and once she gets here I guess we can hop a plane to Cancun for a trip to their awesome beaches and hotels?
  18. Question, All the resident experts say there is no way a pinay married to kano will ever get issued a tourist visa, Was there anything special about your wife or her circumstances that allowed her to get a tourist visa to USA?
  19. Since she can adjust status, something I just learned from reading this here would be my plan. I read your prior post about medical procedure, and you wanting to go back to Philippines after 3 months. Adjust status, get her green card, have her stay here long enough to get her US Citizenship and her US Passport and then you and her can move back to Philippine as long as you want and re enter USA any time you want. If you do the greencard she can only stay out of the country for a set amount of time, some say 6 months some say 1 year, and if it's longer they may not let her back into the USA. You get here US Citizenship and blue passport she can stay out of USA for decades and have no issue re entering the USA, because more than likely you will want or need to come back to USA in future whether it be sick family, or for medical care or if you just tired of living in Philippines. But her with US Citizenship give you alot more options, and she can travel to many more countries with US Passport.
  20. Really, that is a great option, I wasn't aware one could adjust status while in USA if married to a US Citizen.
  21. I was in a private hospital, wasn't impressed with the medical equipment nor the doctors knowledege All the equipment was old and very limited equipment. Had to have same surgery redone back in USA since it was done incorrectly in the Philippines, I was on walker/crutches for 6 months in USA until I had revision surgery, I am hoping to be healed up by October of this year to return back to Philippines. I tried to fly to USA for surgery, but injury and pain was too great to fly, plus you need a "Fit to travel" document signed my doctor to fly domestically in Philippines if injured, couldn't get that one either.
  22. I just looked those up, very nice How long do you have to pay? What is the final cost?
  23. Wow, that's a long long time I was thinking about escorting my mother in law to the US Embassy in Manila, show her how to get there quickly from Red Planet Hotel she will probably stay at since it overlooks the US Embassy and it about a 30 seconds walk to Roxas Blvd and another 2 mintue walk to the pedistrian walk over bridge to get to the consular side.
  24. I have spent about 3 years in Philippines What hospitals and locations in the Philippines is the healthcare on par if not greater? Cheaper for sure, on par no way jose.
  25. Nice Tip Thanks for the heads up Do you know if they are back to normal in Philippines regarding mask? I was there in May till July and some places wanted mask and proof of vaccine to enter malls. Are they letting US Citizens enter the US Embassy in Manila on the consular yet? I assume they will still hold your electronics if you enter as a US Citizen?
