Gratefulone reacted to Risen in VAWA, Part 27
It's a Double blessing today. Today is my birthday and I went for an interview I got approved immediately, before I got home a new card is been produce.
Here is my Timeline
Marriage base AOS Octomber 2019
Changed to vawa August 2020
RFE good moral Octomber, submitted November 2020.
Divorce December 2020
Vawa approved December 17 2022
Interview schedule April 18,2024
Got approved immediately.
Note: I went with my medical which I did a year ago ,it was accepted, I thought I would need a new one, officer said it's still valid.
I wont call it an interview, I was only asked 3 question about security. the officer corrected my old AOS like address , marital status and job.
So if you have a pending old 1-485 you might be call for interview for them to have up to date information about you, but if you submitted new 1-485 with your vawa petition or file later you will be mostly he among those interview will be waived.
Thank you vawa family.
Thank you for your reply @Sandra G. You saved me $500 for attorney fee, I went alone.

Hello Family
Good News is here...
I contacted my attorney's office and they took a whole day to find my GC in their mail finally, I got a call back saying that they had my GC in the office. I picked up my GC and felt so Relaxed...
What a relief, can't explain it in words...
Thanks Family

Hi everyone,
I am a past VAWA recipient and filed my citizenship 2 years and 9 months as my spouse was a us citizen.
I filed online and just followed the instructions online. I do not have any information regarding paper filing. I found it easier to file online because the update documents uscis sends you in the mail can be found online in your uscis account before you get them in the mail.
July 28 2023 - We received your form N-400 ( online application)
August 10 2023 - We are actively reviewing your form N-400 nothing shows outstanding at the moment (biometric waived)
September 27 2023 - We scheduled your interview for your for N-400
November 2 20203 - Interview (only asked questions on the form my name, place of employment, date of birth etc., did the oral, written, and history test. I call it history test) and he scheduled my oth ceremony on spot and gave me the information to take to the oath ceremony
December 1 2023 Oath Ceremony
i am currently in the processes of filing for my mom and just a month after submitting her application they requested the medical which I didn’t send with the application and we are about to get her biometric done.
Good luck to everyone on their journey.

Same here with you on my upcoming N400 application which I intend to file online.
To everyone still in process, please don’t lose hope, my case was super complicated, I had no lawyer and filed everything myself. Now here I am filing for citizenship. We will all pull thru this process. Sometimes I pull out my green card and tears just flow. Sleepless nights, stress and fear to get this far. Our help is in the Name of the Lord 🙏🏽

Got an RFE for my medicals. Hopefully this will go like it did for most - means they waived my interview (something that I thought they didn't do for EWIs), approve me, and I'll be finally free.

Hello everybody,
I was a vawa applicant from April 2017. My case was actually denied and I received a Notice of Intent to Deny back in Oct 2020. My new lawyer submitted the 601 waiver. In Nov 2022 they asked for additional evidence. I was also asked to submit good moral character documents, I was also asked to submit last 5 year Income Taxes. We made a very big package of all the information needed. After we submitted the RFE it took almost 2 and half months for the good news. Moral of the story : Do not give up, be positive, do research and Good News will come. Keep Praying. Here is my timeline from when I applied Vawa.

We're in great -- nay, desperate -- need of our Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:
=============================================================
SEEN ON STUPID SIGNS
DANGER -- DO NOT TOUCH. Not only will this kill you, but it will hurt the whole time when you're dying.
PUSH TO OPEN. If that does not work, PULL. If both do not work, try the actual entrance around the corner.
Please note: cat milk does not come from cats.
Please do not lick the bathroom walls. Thank you.
We don't speak Pig Latin, Klingon, or Starbucks. Please order a small, medium, or large.
Pull your pants up or don't come in. No one wants to see your underwear. (Does not apply to children under 3 years of age.)
In light of recent events, no Oreos will be allowed in the library.
This vending machine has no cups. Please do not cup your hands underneath it instead.
Because of a shortage of robots, some of our staff are human and therefore react unpredictably when abused or under pressure.

It is Sunday, and time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:
======================================================
FOLLOW THE PLOW
A blonde driving a car became lost in a snowstorm. She didn't panic, however, because she remembered what her dad had once told her: "If you ever get stuck in a snowstorm, just wait for a snowplow to come by and follow it."
Sure enough, pretty soon a snowplow came by, and she started to follow it.
She followed the plow for about 45 minutes. Finally, the driver of the truck got out and asked her what she was doing. She explained that her dad had told her if she ever got stuck in a snowstorm, to follow a plow.
The driver nodded and said, "Well, I'm done with the Walmart parking lot; do you want to follow me over to Best Buy now?"

Hello everyone! 👋 I've been a silent spectator of this VAWA forum, and it has been an incredible source of support and motivation for me.
Here's my timeline so far:
SEP 20, 2020: Sent my complete package (I-360, I-485, and I-765) to the Vermont Service Center.
OCT 9, 2020: USCIS received my applications, and fees were waived.
FEB 18, 2021: Received an update that my case showed fingerprints were taken.
OCT 23, 2023: Received an update on my I-360 stating that a "new card is being produced".
I'm thrilled to share this progress, and I couldn't have done it without the encouragement and information from this forum. Thank you all for being a part of my journey! 🙏

It is Wednesday, and already time for our Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke (meriting upvotes, of course):

THE MARRIAGE DICTIONARY
BACHELOR - (1) A man who has been able to avoid the opportunity of making some woman miserable. (2) A man who is said to be footloose and fiancee-free. (3) A bad boy who has cheated some poor girl out of her alimony. (4) A man who never made the same mistake once. (5) A man who believes in life, liberty, and the happiness of pursuit. (6) The only man who has never told his wife a lie.
BRIDE - a girl with great prospects of happiness... behind her.
COMPROMISE - a nice little arrangement between husband and wife whereby they both fully agree to let her have her own way.
DIPLOMAT - a man who is able to convince his wife that a fur coat would make her look fat.

HOUSEWORK - what a wife does without anyone noticing it until she doesn't do it.
HUSBAND - (1) A man who has decided to give up privileges he never knew he had. (2) A man who controls the house and everyone in it, and is allowed by his wife to say so.
JOINT CHECKING ACCOUNT - a great little device that allows a wife to beat a husband to the draw.
LOVE - an obsessive delusion easily cured by a wedding.
MOTHER-IN-LAW - a woman who slowly destroys a man's peace of mind by telling him what's on hers.
MRS. - a job title involving long duties, very light earnings, and zero recognition.
SPOUSE - someone who will protect you, help you, and help you solve all the problems that you wouldn't have had if you'd stayed single.
WIFE - a partner who is always complaining that she doesn't have a thing to wear at the exact same time she complains about not having enough room in the closet.

Hey Karman, hope you are holding up ok. Hi Everyone, I'm here to say thank you Jesus. I have seen a miracle with my own eyes. Won't go into details but long story short- my EAD expired Sept 20th. I had started my renewal process in February! Countless letters and calls to our friends at the USCIS, even congressman, no response. I was on the brink of insanity as I can not afford to lose my job. The miracle is I didn't lose my job, HR found a clause that enabled me to keep working without a renewed EAD.
Randomly checked my case status today and saw new card being produced for my EAD. Note to TBone- jokes work. They really do!
