Hello all, this morning I received a letter from the Embassy. First of all it took a month to arrive, the date is 23 January and we are in March. Second, again they spelled wrong the address. I live in Dereham and they keep writing DREHEM which does not exist, so for this reason I received everything a month late. Anyway the letter goes, ------- I am lost. I immediately sent my own application at the time of receiving their letter months ago, and had my medical, paid my VISA fees, scheduled appointment, and it says on their website under stats, READY. What am I missing here? Thanks

hello there, I have my interview on 13th March, so I gathered my documents but I am not sure I understand what they mean by 'Affidavit of support I-134- current tax return.' My boyfriend is filling the I-134. He also provided a current salary sheet, a warranty deed for the house and a Property tax statement for the year 2023. Is this necessary or enough? I can't find any explanations. Thanks

hi there, I had my medical in London on February the 1st, the chest x ray showed some scarring, (which I am now investigating with my GP as I am well) so I had to return to London for the sputum test for 3 days in a row. After that it's 8 weeks until we get the results. I had however already booked my final interview for March 13th, so at the interview I just need to mention that the medical is fine, pending the culture being negative (by 9th April). And the medical people told me that's how it is. So you can attend your fiancee interview but the final yes will be depending on that culture being negative for TB. If it's not, sadly your fiancee will need some antibiotics to clear TB (which I think it's a 6 month period). Good luck!

Sorry to jump in, but I booked my medical for February 7th, and now I went to see how to book the interview by going to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-GB/niv but all I get is: 'Doing Maintenance - No need to worry. Our website is down for planned maintenance. We should be back up momentarily. Check back soon.' This has been the same for a couple of weeks. And my approval was October 6, 2023, therefore I fear that my expiry day is March 6th 2024. Please let me know how did you get into the fee pay site and the visa appointment site as it has been impossible for me! Thanks and good luck finding an appointment. PS The London medical receptionist gave me all the dates on the phone and she sounded a bit impatient.

hi there, I just booked my medical today (so late as my ACRO is 2 months late! They totally messed up but promised to send it urgently, this morning). So my medical is on the 7th February and I wanted to see if I can go online to schedule the interview for ten days later. But after much searching I cannot find which website/which URL to go to to schedule this! I feel so annoyed as I am full of documents and notes and this simple URL escapes me. We were approved on 6 October, so I assume that my petition expires 4 months later (6 Feb) therefore I sent an email this morning to a random customer service at US embassy to see if the consul can extend as we are stuck. So if any kind soul can let me know how to find where on the web to book the final interview I will be super grateful! thanks! PS I was in that page last week and I can't find it anymore! ha ha Thanks everyone!

Hi there, could I ask how do we know that it wipe be waved? I have the same issue, can’t find the tetanus injection alone anywhere, and can’t find the Covid jab anywhere, not available. How does this work? Thanks!

Ok just in case someone else encounters the same issue, I managed to solve it! I downloaded Microsoft EDGE and everything worked fine. Filled 2 DS 160 (one for my teen), and printed off the acceptance papers. K2 for her, added in her DS 160. Next we will take care of the ACRO, then the vaccines and the doctor. Getting there! Thanks for your assistance! PS the embassy was not able to help at all!

DS-160 With Children
Dragonsarereal replied to turbodoc's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I am so glad I saw this. I just managed to complete my own DS 160 and I was wondering where I am supposed to add my daughter. I added her as a travel companion but I did not see any field to enter further information. Did I just made a huge mistake? -
by the way, I cleared cache and cookies and used Chrome again, and this time I was able to load and fill 85% or more. I then uploaded the photo taken at the photo boot. It was accepted. And then that was it. I cannot go forward to the next step, called REVIEW. It's dimmed. I tried again clearing cache and cookies, looked in the past paragraphs etc but I am stuck again. If you have ideas I will be very grateful! Also, can the belongings be sent when I receive the VISA but arriving before I arrive to the USA?

Well, if you look at the pdf sample supplied by: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/PDF-other/DS-160-Example_11-19-2020.pdf First line: select a location. Done. Then enter the random unreadable code. Done. Right under that it says" This visa application will ask you to upload a digital photo of yourself. There are two lines under that: test photo and Photo standard guide. I pressed on TEST photo. It was accepted as valid. Then under that you have : start an application. Done. Next line: choose a security question/answer. Done that. Continue. So we are still not in the application, we are preparing for it. At which point it says 'continue' and then it looked me out. Some people in this forum in 2017 had the same issue, and started a new application, and got logged out again and could not log back in.

yes, all I did was name, surname, and attach the photo. Got the case number so I can retrieve it..... I then clicked next when it was approved, and boom, I was timed out. I see that this is a common incidence and I found many past threads online but they all say to change browser. I used Firefox, Chrome and Vivaldi and still no luck!

Hi there! I am a little frustrated as I have the embassy letter, so I went to register/fill my DS160 and I got two issue straight away, using Chrome on my iMac if that matters, and then Firefox. 1) The session logged me out as soon as I pressed next after my digital photo was accepted. 2) Despite using the correct spelling of my surname and knowing exactly when I was born, when I went to retrieve the application, I got this message: Please correct all areas in error as indicated below. Once you have finished, click ‘Retrieve Application’ button to continue completing your online application form. Surname does not match. Year of Birth does not match. I tried a few times but I cannot move forward and the help section does not mention this. I am stuck! Any suggestions please? Thanks

many thanks. Also, I have the list of vaccines and I am not entirely sure - do they also want the covid vaccine for minors? And is one dose acceptable? DO you think they have Covid vaccines there that can be administered (as the NHS does not provide them to most groups) and as we are only having Novavax, is it available as far as you know? sorry and thanks for your patience.

Phew, I feel better! So the American jab is not available here from NHS or Boots etc for Hepatitis? But your kids could have them at the medical. Does it mean then, that when you arrive in the US and adjust for status, you need a new medical, spending another few hundred dollars with a new civil servant?
