  1. Thanks for the suggestion! I never heard of the DS-3025, but I will ask my fiancee if she has it already. In the event she does not, we still have time for her to get it filled out before she comes here. I tried to search the USCIS website for it but I can't seem to find it. Google does show unofficial sources to download the DS-3025 but I am concerned it might not be the correct or official version, so I'd rather get it from an official government source such as USCIS. Does anyone know where I can find it from an official source?
  2. I think I found the answer to my own question. I don't believe the above SLEC form expiration date is needed for adjustment of status. There is a separate I-693 form (Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record) which may only be required if requested, and is often not even needed. Also if it is needed, it isn't required to be completed prior to submitting the I-485. It can be completed after submitting the I-485. Hope this helps anyone who might have the same or similar question.
  3. I can't seem to find a clear answer online. My fiancee had to do a sputum test at SLEC in MANILA as part of her medical before she got her K1 VISA. She got her results back and was negative for TB. We are wondering if the expiration on on her sputum report means we will have to redo the medical here in USA if we do not file adjustment of status before June 13th. Does anyone know?
  4. I thought we had 90 days to get married after she arrives in the US. She got her K1 VISA in the mail today and it shows an expiration date on it of June 13th. She can't even come here until the end of April, so does it mean we will only have less than 2 months to get married after she arrives? Or does the K1 VISA expiration date merely mean she has to travel to the US before June 13th? In other words, is June 13th the date we have to be married by or is it the date she has to travel here by? I'm so confused because every resource I can find on the internet all indicate that we should have 90 days to get married beginning on the date she arrives here. We were really counting on having more time to plan the wedding!
  5. Does anyone know if I (the U.S. petitioner) need to provide evidence or an affidavit that I'm available to marry? I've never been married, and I don't see a requirement to provide proof of never being married, but I thought I should ask to confirm. If evidence is necessary, will a letter with my signature stating that I've never been married be sufficient? I would think that the U.S. government would have some sort of database to just quickly check to see if a U.S. citizen has ever been married, so they probably have no need for any proof to be included with my application.
  6. Perfect. Thank you. I've just been using the 14 page "Instructions for Petition for Alien Fiancé(e)" for guidance but it doesn't say anything about staples in there.
  7. Should I staple any sheets, such as the 13 pages of the I-129F, together before mailing? Or does USCIS prefer to receive loose papers without staples?
  8. Question regarding the I-129F form... The form instructions say: "Item Numbers 13. - 20.b. Your Employment History. Provide the names and addresses of your employers, your occupations, and the dates of employment for the jobs you have held over the last five years." It isn't clear to me though if by "Full Name of Employer," they want the actual person's name who was my immediate boss (e.g., supervisor - John Black, manager - Patrick Floss, director - Brian Parker), or if they want the name of the company (e.g., General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Huntington Ingalls Industries, etc). Can anyone clarify what is needed here?
  9. My new question has nothing to do with my original question. Why does it belong in the same thread? Is only one thread allowed per person? I doubt I'll even get a response to this new question here, because the title of this thread is completely unrelated.
  10. I know there's a requirement for income above the poverty line to qualify as the sponsor for my foreign fiance from the Philippines to join me in the USA, but I'm curious if there is also a minimum savings balance? My income is about $100,000, but my bank savings are only 4-digits at the moment due to some ongoing home renovations. Does it matter how much cash I have sitting in my checking account or do I only need the income and the funds to cover all the associated fees?
  11. I would have to pay her debts for her, but I'm not comfortable doing that until after she gets here.
  12. Any sense on whether the embassy is catching up now or only falling further behind?
