My mother in law was denied a b-2 visa and was given a white slip that said she was found ineligible for a non immigrant visa
under section 214(b) of the US immigration and nationality act.
She answered all her questions asked of her okay.
Has anyone ever been given this form before and is there anything she can do to overcome this if she chooses to reapply?
The IO did not give her any reasons for her denial, just told her to read the white slip but it says nothing really other than she was found
ineligible for a visa.
Maybe someone can help explain this code
Thank you very much in advance

Can anyone answer me if a person applies for a B-2 visa if they can request the interview in Tagalog versus English?
My mother in law has been denied a visa there and altho she can speak English well, I feel she is misunderstanding the questions asked of her.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

Myth or not it is what the interviewing officer told her that she needed the next time she applies,i cannot make the letter out clearly as the photo is to small in facebook, but looks like an attorney drew it up, very fancy letter

Yes she got her 10 year card when she arrived in the US in July 2013.
I wondered about that on the 5 year rule, Thanks for the advice.

My ex-wife wants to apply for US Citizenship and I am not sure if she is eligible yet, any advice would be appreciated.
We were married in March 2011 and applied for a CR-1 visa and she was approved and came here on July 5 2013, but sadly we divorced in September 2014, she has been working here and has not remarried.
She has lived here for the 3 years but not sure since we divorced if she is eligible to apply yet.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Good luck with it, We also sent official invite letters as well stating her itinerary and that we would take care of all her travel expenses, she talked with other people at the embassy that also were applying for tourist visas, most told her you have to apply 4 times before get approved. But then some people get approved the first time, no rhyme or reason.

Each case is different,My Mother in Law has applied twice now and been denied both times, no real reason given, she applied for 3 month visit first time and 3 weeks the second time. She was told this last time she needs an official invite letter, but we have not seen a copy of the letter yet, she took a photo of it.
Good luck!!

We are going through this in Minnesota now, Maya first had her drivers license approved but could not get the actual license until we sent in NOA1 from the AOS process, her license was good for six months and then we went to the license center and showed them her EAD/AP card. Her new license was extended until her EAD/AP card expires next March 2017
The gentleman behind the counter told her once she gets her Green card stamp, she can come in and she will get a normal license with no conditions,
Minnesota at least does not charge a fee for a new license, just bring in paperwork.
Good Luck

Thanks for the link. I was not sure if I have to provide any documents or not.
There is no baby involved nor due. her mom just wants to see her daughter. She runs a small family business and has a younger daughter at home so has ties back to home.
Thanks again.

Hard to say with Manila, it can be in as little as 5 business days to 6 weeks, you can track the progress online and see when it is delivered to 2go, you will get an e-mail also when its done

10 days for us but NVC has been backlogged with the worst snowstorms ever this winter and has created delays. Start calling after 10 business days.

Try using this link and track your passport. Seems to work faster than ceac

Thanks. Her friend who interviewed on Feb 26 still does not have hers. No idea how they work it over there at the embassy. I was with her for the interview and i noticed when they took her documents he wrote on her paperwork the 17th and it was delivered the 17th. He did ask what day i was flying home and if i hoped she could fly with me. Maybe coincidence, who knows. Good luck with getting yours

May had her interview the 10th. Her status was ready then AP then went to issued on friday. Each case is different. One of May's friends interviewed on mar 3 and got her passport back on the 14th. Her friend got an email that her passport was sent to 2go on friday.
patience and it will come. But whatever you do, do not buy her plane ticket until her visa is in hand.
it was taking 10-13 business days to get passports back.
good luck

It probably wont matter much unless one of them is a felony. Some states having a third one is a felony. All depends on the time in between them And what or how he was charged out as.
Good luck

Yes we were asked for the I-134

May passed her interview today. Only asked her where we met and my job. Not much else was asked. More me than her i think. Now the wait begins for her passport to be returned. Thank you to everyone for all your help and support along our journey so far. Thanks
