Applied SSN using maiden name January 27,The lady told me to just come back after we got married and bring MC to change it to married name.

Received SSN Feb.11,2009

Got married Feb.27,2009.Went back to SSA March 4 to changed to married name.

Got SSN card in married name March 13,2009

I didnt include the visa pages.I didnt get RFE about that.

I have my smart sim roaming.. (my old smart cellphone number)..I roam it on before we board on the plane.I still had like 150pesos load that time and until now it works.I still receive txt from my family and friends..I have 1 cellphone for my smart roaming and 1 cellphone with my US number from T-mobile plan...then I'm texting them via chikka and now I downloaded the Smart uzzap messenger on my pc,it's good because I can txt them for unlimited with no charge if they have smart uzzap on their cellphone.If they dont have one,I can still txt them,I can send 10 texts per day and they can reply for 1 (piso) only.

No need for stamp because you have your greencard now.

You only need I-551 stamp in the passport if there is a delay of issuance of the greencard.

I've been approved too w/o interview.

I received TWO EMAILS today from CRIS saying that THEY MAILED THE WELCOME NOTICE! 2 emails coz mine and my son's.

It makes me wonder though. They opened my son's RFE response more than a week before mine [according to CRIS], but they approved us on the same date. It could be that only ONE person is doing both of our cases. Whatever or whoever it is, I am so glad that we're approved! WOOOHOOO!

Hi,I asked one of my friend who had her daughter (K2) follow to join.She said,all you need to do is to call USEM and schedule an interview for your daughter.Does your daughter have her medical already?If yes,only thing you need to do is to set an interview appointment and have someone to fill up the forms she needs for interview.

Btw,my friend's daughter don't have the father's name on her BC and she don't know her father too and they didn't encounter a problem about it because she has the full custody,and I believe you have the full custody of your daughter too.

Anyways,My fiancee (husband now) bought a ticket for me and our daughter at continental airlines website using his credit card.He just put my and our daughter's name,passport number and expiration,then he emailed me the e-ticket and boarding pass with our seat number and I printed it.When we were at NAIA,I just showed them our e-ticket,they didn't ask for my husband's credit card's copy and/or Identification.That's it,didn't encounter problem.

You can do it in person at the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate in your area.Or check the website of Philippine Embassy in Washington,you can do it by mail also.

i only need to have 1 shot for HPV and im done ...do i need to complete it first before we can file for AOS?thanks

In my case,St.Luke's gave me HPV shot #1 then when I went to civil surgeon,he told me to have HPV shot #2,it cost $150 for the shot if I will have it on his office because USCIS doesn't take insurance for immigration purpose,so he told me to go to our doctor or other clinic to have the shot so we won't need to pay $150 and so that's what we did.We went to the clinic close to his office to have the HPV shot #2 using my husband's insurance.Then civil surgeon,transcribed my vaccination form from St.Luke's to I-693 including the HPV #2,signed and sealed it and he charged me $25 and we filed my AOS the next day.That's it.

Then after 2 months when I had the HPV #2,I had the last shot which is HPV #3.Because it was written on the record that I need to have the last shot after 2months which is the time frame and since it's appropriate on my age,why not have the last shot so I had the completed HPV vaccines,and it's good also to avoid cervical cancer.

So I suggest,have the HPV so you won't get RFE.

Hi guys, i am just wandering...my fiance and i are going to get me a SSN the next day i enter US then have our wedding as soon as i got my SSN, are we gonna be ok regarding the timing?

You need to wait for at least 2 weeks after you arrived here in the US to be able to obtain SS number because SSA must see whether you are on DHS system (and their system) already. Otherwise you will be wasting your precious time. You don't have to have SSN to get married...

Depends,some state requires to have SSN to get marriage license.Better ask your county office first what are the requirements to get marriage license,if don't need SSN,then just apply SSN after you get married,because if you will apply ssn now using your maiden name,you need to come back again at SSA to change it to your married name.

1. The A#-------- found in our visa is the alien number?

2. I-94 # is the departure number?

3. Am i going to use my husband's family name or my family name when I was still single to fill up the forms?

4. For I-131 form (Advance Parole Travel Document), do i really need to put specific date for the Date of Intended Departure?

I used my husband's family name and my middle name now is my family name when I was single.

Same here.I used my husband's family name to all of the forms and other paperworks like when I applied for SSN,State ID,bank account.And my middle name now is my family or last name when I was single.

I suggest its better to use your husband's family name in all of the paperworks especially in your greencard so it will match your passport once you renew it or amend it with your married name para wala maging problema in the future.

Kung dyan ka sa pinas abutin ng panganganak,dyan na lang then report nyo na lng sa USEM yung birth ni Baby.Kc automatic US citizen sya,need lng i-report yung birth sa USEM para magkaron sya ng U.S.passport.

Hi sis,automatic dual citizen anak natin.No need to apply dual citizenship kc dual citizen na kc pinanganak sya ng 1 Filipino Mother and 1 US Citizen Father..Kukuhanan mo lng sya Phil.passport pra maipakita mo sa NAIA at pra wla na exit permit.Pag di mo sya kuhanan Phil.passport,need mo kuhanan exit permit baby mo at magbabayad ka pa.Depende pa sa Immigration kung magkano singilin nila kc mandurugas.

Kaya mas maganda kuhanan mo na sya Phil.passport pra 2 passports pakita mo sa NAIA.You dont need to go to BI pag may Phil.passport na sya.Mas mura pa ang Phil.passport kesa sa exit permit,so if I were you kuhanan mo na ng Phil.passport anak mo now.

hello everyone..i will be flying with our daughter soon,and i was just wondering if anyone knows what would be the best thing to do while were inside the plane for my baby's ear not to get hurt or is there anything i can buy to put on her ear?i know its gonna be painful esp she's only 3months.any advice please..

Pacifier or bottle on her mouth really helps
