My wife has her embassy appointment on Feb 1. She has to go to medical for biometrics on Jan 5, 24. They are telling her she will pay $1,000.

Where do I find the online status? NVC sent email that it is Feb 1. I don't see a status in NVC. Is there a fee that needs to be paid after interview?

I'm a US citizen. My wife is going for her spousal visa interview.

I received an email from NVC about upcoming interview appointment for my wife and step-daughter. It directs me to this site -> Interview Preparation (state.gov) I click on the link go to embassy La Paz. It says to register appointment online. I attempt to register both but when I enter their Case No it says not ready for appointment. Do I have to wait to do this? Also, it ask for the DS-260 number. Is that the Confirmation No on the DS-260?

Any idea how long after NVC doc approval to embassy interview? My NVC approval was at end of November. I know they won't do anything in December. I am concerned because I sent my wife to notarize the W7 alon Oct 31. They made and error. I called embassy regarding this on Oct 31. The person who picked up phone said office was closed. I asked why. They said Holiday. I responded Halloween was not a holiday and my wife was at consulate so they aren't supposed to be closed. I then called consulate and asked to speak with someone there. The person who answered said they were closed. I said my wife was just there. What time did they close. She said 3. I responded it is 2 pm. So someone should be there. Woman told me to email and she would send to her boss. They called my wife and told her to come back next day Nov 1. She goes back and the consulate berates her over my phone calls to embassy and consulate. Apparently I'm guessing they didn't like I called them out for skipping work. I am worried that they will see my wife name and play games and delay the interview. Thoughts?

Yes paid 2 fees with NVC. There will be medical fee x 2, and now green card fee x 2. 🥴

Site says: Visa Fees – If your visa application fees were collected by NVC, you do not need to pay again. However, if you or any family member did not pay all the necessary fees, you will be asked to pay any unpaid fees at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.  Wish it was clearer.

Finally got document approval from NVC. I am reviewing info from the embassy. Says an MVC fee will need to be paid. $265 for wife. Don't know for step-child. Does this apply? I know the biometrics fee needs to be paid and don't know how much that is. Wondering when all the fees stop!

Looking for information. USCIS approved. Completed NVC portion (Submitting documents) on Sept 13, 23. I read that NVC sends to Embassy and Embassy in LA Paz will set up interview about 4 weeks after receipt from NVC. I am guessing that NVC is sending documents I uploaded? Correct? Are they sending by email? Any idea how long after NVC process to get the interview? Thx
