    I am currently waiting for my interview in Montreal . I am a Canadian Citizen - can I make travel plans to the US. I am planning to go on a vacation and while I return the tickets turn out to be cheaper if I am flying through the US . My company lawyer mentioned that they generally advice clients to avoid travelling to the US during this period. But wanted to see if people here actually did or would know of people that travelled.

    I was DQ on July 2023 but my Priority Date is Feb 2022 .So basically I Am current based on the Jan Visa bulletin.

    Just updated my timeline . I was DQ'd in July 2023 . My employer wants me to start work around beginning of Q2 2024 . They have bunch of new implementation that they had planned for in 2024 and it would require me to start engaging in those conversation and also start implementing these changes. They feel that it could have significant financial as project timeline impact if I am not able to get there when all these things are initiated.

    Hi Guys, My employer in consultation with their lawyers wants to put an expedited request.Anyone in this group have gone through that?Do consulates even honor that for Employment based cases? TIA

    Hi All - Quick question. I had to resubmit residency status documents .Which I did on July 26th. Any Idea when I should expect to be DQ'D ? Based on NVC timeline they are reviewing documents submitted as of August 2nd.

    @New_123 Congratulations on your approval. And Thank you explaining the finest of details. 🙂 Few questions : Were you working for the company that sponsored you ? Do we needed an amendment if the employer address changed. My employer moved few miles from the old location but is within the same MSA. Also - did you travel to the US after submitting DS-260. TIA.

    This is certainly true. A friend of mine - had an unrelated question that needed addressed and consulted with a Former Consular Officer in Argo Visa. They made it pretty clear the purpose of the interview is to check information provided as part of the petition matches what the Candidate is telling in the interview and of course to see if the applicant has any inadmissibility . They want to get a sense of, if the candidate is actually qualified to work on what they said they will work on for the company that petitioned for them. This also aligned with what my company lawyer have told me in the past. They key to Employment Based Petition is "Future Employment" so there is no requirement for you to already be working for the Company that is Petitioning for you.

    Hi Friends: I got my fee bill from NVC .IF I have to add my spouse and kid to the application.Where would I get the option to fill out ds-260 for them? Appreciate the help here!

    @ghp2019 How long after your I-140 approval did you get your welcome letter. My Case was sent to DOS 30th March still waiting for NVC letter.

    Hi everyone How long does it take to get a welcome letter from NVC after i-140 is approved. My i-140 was approved mid March 2023.Case sent to DOS end of March. Haven't received a welcome letter yet.

    @ACC24 Thank you. Did you have to submit your documents through the mail or was it done through the NVC portal. I just got by I-140 approved .

    HI Friends : For employment based cases . Is there a need to submit I-864, Affidavit of Support ? If - Yes who signs this form ? Is it the employer? Thank you.

    @F2J_March can I PM you ??and we can talk more about this. I looked at the Monthly Stats for EB visa issues in Kathmandu Consulate. I think they are doing pretty good. Not yet DQ'd.

    @F2J_March : Not Yet. I saw few of your post where you were contemplating about going the Kathmandu Consulate. I am in the same boat. Wanted to know if you explored the option through Kathmandu . Are you from Nepal???

    @Blueeyes1989 I am currently in Canada and I am not employed through them nor do I have privilege's to work in US . I will only be working for the company once the petition is approved and will be . This is a Staffing Company that is doing this process. I will work internally as well as externally for clients as needs arises.

    Hi Friends - I have a questions hoping I can get some clarity here. Since lots of you have attended the interview recently . I am currently in the Process of EB3 - Skilled. I am a Data Engineer by Profession. I have been sponsored by a Staffing company for EB3 . I previously graduated from the US and worked there for few years before I moved to Canada . I was wondering : Since the sponsoring company is a Staffing Company will there be complication during the interview process to prove the legitimacy of the offer (other folks that went through the same process with AOS in the past few years had no issues). I have been hearing where consular officers are very critical of the offer letter and the legitimacy position in General since its a staffing agency?? This position will be supporting both internal stake holders and external stake holders . So till my visa is not approved I am not even be assigned to a particular client . But there will be internal team that I will be supporting . Thank you.
