  1. Honestly not sure. I just know legally they have to give some type of explanation by due date. Lawyer said most likely they will file for extension but since they cant file for another extension.... you will see all your paperwork move after extension because they need to get you out of system. So that means redoing medical and hopefully being out of this mess. I was like you... i refused to file a WoM but in the end I had no choice because there was no other light at the end of the tunnel. I see my case is almost getting updated weekly since WoM due date approaching. Fingers crossed. This is ridiculous but im trying to stay positive.
  2. I went through exactly this. Officer told my fiance everything looks good and as soon as we get medical, youll get visa. Got home and boom ds5535 email. Fiance is Canadian born, no marriages, no kids, no criminal history, etc. It took me a while to accept that I had to file a WoM. Tried countly emails and got congressman involved. I appreciate that lawyers have something to help, but the cost of a WoM should be half. Its just so much money. I understand love should have no price, but a person shouldnt go broke for it.
  3. I started the WoM with Goldstein today. I cant wait anymore, especially with my fiances medical expiring. I just want to move on with life. Getting him the info asap so they can get it filed. I wish I didnt have to resort to this. AP ontop of the consulate being closed during covid is just ridiculous that they are this far behind.
  4. I had such a tease. My case went from 4 months of not being updated to yesterday's date on ceac. However just got standard still in administrative processing email reply yesterday. ..... sigh
  5. This whole situation is a nightmare. My Fiance interviewed Feb 14 for her K1(we were so happy that day). The agent was like we are just waiting on the medical exam to come in so refusing under 221g. No fault of our own, the Doc just hadn't transmitted it yet. There is still no end in sight for our administrative processing. I have checked in a few times and just get the standard it is in administrative processing reply and they have everything. Her medical is about to expire, so now I have to figure out what to do. Lawyers are charging an arm and a leg to file a WOM, but i feel like im getting backed into a corner and have no choice. Both my Fiance and I are born in our countries, university educated, and no history of anything. It makes no sense why we got the ds5535. This is by far so cruel. The fact that covid is an excuse for delays, is not acceptable. We filed in Sept 2020. This has almost taken 2 years.
