  1. @dhruvroom Is the screenshot of the RCMP PCC posted earlier by yours ? Did you take your fingerprints for applying for Canadian PCC? In that screenshot it mentions date fingerprinted . if you didn’t take your fingerprints, then you might need to obtain a new one RCMP generates more than one type of police clearance certificate. The fingerprinted PCC, is a more detailed one and US consulate requires a PCC from RCMP that includes your fingerprinted date so that check a wider database. Hope this explanation is clear . For Indian PCC, they don’t take fingerprints. Each countries PCC has different requirements. In department of state’s website, they mention each country’s police clearance certificate requirements.
  2. Yes, This one is correct. Some people do not get the fingerprints for Canada PCC, that's why at the interview they ask to resubmit a new one with fingerprints. @dhruvroom your RCMP clearance looks good. Just make sure its not more than 1 year old ,before you attend the interview. I would recommend to get a new PCC from RCMP once you get the interview letter, just to be safe.
  3. I hope you know this, if not just for your info. The NVC schedules the interview based on the final action date in the Visa Bulletin published each month. Since your Priority date is not current I believe, that's why you are not receiving the interview letter. Hopefully your Priority date becomes current in the Final action chart soon, and you receive the interview letter. Here is the link for the February 2023 Visa bulletin for your reference. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-february-2023.html
  4. No worries , glad I am able to help. Don’t hesitate to ask any other questions that you or any of you guys may have .
  5. Also if you already uploaded the 2021 tax return of your spouse, then it’s fine you don’t need to upload anything more . Because 2022 tax filing season just started . If your spouse filed it then take it to the interview. Also the latest w2 of last year and paystubs of last 3 months .
  6. If you want you can, I didn’t . My lawyer told not to. If you have new documents, during the interview at the first window they will ask for all the documents, if it’s not already scanned to the portal they will take and do the needful. You don’t need to do anything.
  7. I took 3 and went to the medical, if you don’t have it’s fine , they will take your photo their. Since I had mine already they took that.
  8. I think it's better to apply for both since you travelled to India recently after submitting your PCC to NVC.
  9. This is the screenshot of the US consulate Montreal Operations Updates. As of February 1 , 2023 most Family preference cases scheduled for interview were DQ in August 2022. So I don't think they covered anything more than August 2022. I could be wrong too.
  10. On the Montreal interview checklist, they say that if the police clearance certificate submitted to the NVC is less than 12 months then it’s okay , if it’s been more than one year then you need to issue a new one . But for certain countries PCC, it’s says the validity for 6 months or 3 months , then you might need a new one I guess . But Canadian and Indian PCC is good for a year . I have experience.
  11. Tdap vaccine should be updated every 10 years , so if you don’t have the proof of taking a tetanus shot in last 10 years, then you need to take it and obtain proof of vaccination. Chickenpox ( varicella vaccine ) the doctor might check for immunity usually ,if they don’t find the chicken pox marks on your body, some cases they take your word for it . To be sure , do a immunity test and then take a vaccine if you don’t have immunity for varicella .
  12. In Ontario , there are only 3 approved doctors who could do the medical . I think in Quebec only one . https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html In this link , there are list of all the things required to do before the interview and the doctors list in each province .
  13. Hi guys, just wanted to share some info regarding doing medical exam in Ontario . Make sure you have all the required vaccinations before attending the medical exam, because the approved doctor’s office doesn’t have any vaccine at their place, if you don’t have any vaccine they will ask you to do an immunity test that will take 2 or 3 days for the result to come and if you don’t have immunity then you need to take the vaccine . And most of the time they won’t have it in stock and they will have to order it . So plan accordingly. Also the doctor that I visited dr. Randall Lee, is a good doctor but then the staff there is terrible. I called them 4 days before the interview and asked if they sent the medical to the consulate. They checked then and told that they are missing X ray report . The x ray lab is in the same building as the doctors office . They simply didn’t take the papers from downstairs. So careless . If I hadn’t called them to check , they would have delayed it and maybe not even sent the medical to the consulate. I paid around CAD 300 for their service and they were so irresponsible. I then constantly had to keep calling them and finally they sent it the day before the interview to the consulate. The only good thing now is that the doctor send the report to the consulate electronically after COVID started . I went for the medical exam 21 days before the interview date. That’s enough time for them to submit it to the consulate. But they delayed it due to their mistake, which made stress a lot of the report would be received on time . I just wanted to inform you all waiting for the interview letter that the medical in Canada is horrible . I heard all the doctors have similar issues. The only thing you can control is that you have taken all the required vaccines before the medical exam . Hope this information helps someone down the line .
  14. Visa approved. My interview was at 9 am this morning. They let me 5 mins early inside the building . It was -16C in Montreal today with the wind . So pretty cold . Pretty easy process. In first window counter , questions asked were 1. Is it first marriage 2. Who is the petitioner? 3. Address of the petitioner and applicant ? 4. Phone number of petitioner and applicant. 5. Asked for latest financial documents that’s not uploaded to the nvc portal 6. Police clearance certificate, marriage certificate and birth certificates originals, and one passport size photos . In the second window the main interview , the questions were 1. When and where was your marriage 2. Profession and education of petitioner and applicant 3. Where is the spouse working and title? 4. How many countries I have visited apart from India, usa and dubai ? 5. Have you ever been arrested? 6. how long I have been in the USA before ? that’s pretty much it . Very nice and easy since I had all the documents before hand .
  15. According to the Montreal consulate pre interview checklist, if it’s been more than 12 months after uploading to the NVC , then you need to take a new PCC at the time of the interview . I would say it’s good for a year . But I took a new RCMP PCC since it was easy to obtain , Indian PCC I kept the old one. It’s upto you basically . It would be nice to keep an updated PCC of the current country of residence.
  16. Thanks for sharing. if you don't mind answering, which document did they request from you for issuing 221g. Thanks,
  17. Hi, I guess you need to wait till your PD becomes current in the final action dates to get your interview letter. Hopefully soon. Here is a screenshot for your reference.
