Hi all, since I have been DQ'ed today, I wanted to share the anecdotal information I have been collecting thus far. This would probably be most helpful to those who are currently waiting to get DQ'ed in October. Yeah if your JS has the full tax return then you should be good. Usually that’s all you need (+W2/1099)

When you go on the IRS portal there are four options. One of them is IRS Tax Return Transcript and another is the Wage and Income Transcript. It is common knowledge around VJ forums that you want to submit the tax return transcript and not anything else but for some reason we were specifically asked by NVC to submit the wage and income transcript. We thought maybe it was because of the purported IRS delays (my JS still does not have his 2021 tax return transcript processed by the IRS.).

I just logged onto CEAC again and the issue has been resolved. Everything is ACCEPTED now and the message says DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED.

I received two emails saying I am dq but when I log on to ceac it says INCOMPLETE for my JS documents. When I click on it it says Application Error. Should I be worried?

Yeah, that's how my RFE was. Just an update notice. My NVC stage started in May. I am still waiting to be DQ.

Yes, this is an RFE. He might try to submit it quick but that rarely translates to a quicker response time. More than likely you will need to wait for another 50-60 days at the current rate of NVC processing.

1. If you get an RFE, it won’t say RFE. It will say things like Case FE Review Note or something.
2. If your email states that you are DQ then you don’t need to worry about it. Just make sure you upload W2/1099 if you have any after you get the IL. Does your note say consular officer will make a decision?

No, I am not DQ yet. I made this list to reduce my anxiety for myself. I am dealing with an RFE (but obvious fault of our own).
I did have some private chats with people who were going through similar situations like you and honestly the prognosis is not very encouraging. I hope someone else will come to this thread and suggest a different solution. So sorry.

Yeah, it's so frustrating. What I was told was to send the document again (maybe with a cover letter explaining that it was already accepted) and send an inquiry and wait all over again. If anyone else has a better way to resolve an issue like this, please comment

I was reading through instructions from the embassy in my country: https://uploads.mwp.mprod.getusinfo.com/uploads/sites/67/2022/06/Instruction-pkt_MIV_Expd.pdf
It says I must submit civil documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate) that were issued within 1 year. Well, at the time I was uploading to CEAC they were within 1 year and they were accepted, but I got a FE Review note, and now those civil docs are slightly older than 1 year. Perhaps I can get new ones issued and bring to the interview after I get DQ'ed since those other documents are already accepted? Will this be an issue?

They document qualified me today after I resubmitted the tax return August 13th. They probably did it so quickly cause I had Congress call them and they sent my case to document review.
How did you get your congressman to help you? We were in touch with a congressperson, but they asked what number they call and I couldn't provide an answer.

From what I understand, a DL is enough of a domicile proof if your current livelihood is in the states. If you are sponsoring your spouse and you both reside outside the country, a DL may not be enough.
