Several posts and replies have been removed for needling and provoking the OP.  There are more diplomatic ways of asking for clarification and additional information, especially when someone is under stress already.

Those question are under General Eligibility and inadmissible ground on form 1-485 I think from page 11-16 but I was only 3 of those questions.

Got an interview notice. That's annoying, I thought that getting an RFE for medicals means it was waived. Oh well.

    Hello guys,
I have not been able to log in using my old account therefore, had to open a new one with a similar name. I had to find a way to come back here and give my testimony. I promised a few years ago that I will come back here to write about the outcome of my vawa application whether negative or positive.
I am a vawa applicant who started a vawa processing while abroad in 2019 and have been able to follow it through till completion. It was a long journey and a very hard one, but God finally did it for me. I received my Ib1 visa through consular process end of last year and entered the USA without any problems in january. No questions asked. I carried my own yellow file and handed it to an officer who took me to a secondary room. He took my picture and finger prints. Took my passport and returned it within 2 minutes. And told me welcome to USA.  I couldn't believe it. Those who are applying from abroad. Keep pushing. Don't give up. God is going to make away for you. My journey started in 2019 and ended successfully in 2023. God bless you all.

Do you guys know of anyone else doing vawa through consular processing other than me and @natalysmile ?

No, that won't be an issue. USPS can deliver to a physical address or to a PO Box, courier services can only deliver to physical addresses and not PO Boxes.

You have to track your package. No you will not receive a receipt notice. You will next receive that the documents were accepted or rejected allowing you to resubmit forms or move forward in the process to getting your DQ date.

Hi everyone! A few days ago I posted frustrated about no updated on my I360. I filed in October 2020. Today I got this. New card being produced, does this mean my i360 was approved? And which card is this one? Thank you for all the help. Also, I want to get married, does this mean I can get married now? Thanks!

Finally some good news: Today, 50 days after they got my I-485, I finally got a notification that they charged my credit card.

Now just begins the long wait to get my I-485 approved, but hey, never thought I'd make it here.

It sounds like double abused to vawa filers.
When you called USCIS for any updates about your case, they will not give a dime and just ask you to write.
Whenever you write, they don't respond or take forever to do so in the best scenario.
That's why most of us become congressional's dependents in other to know anything about our cases.
It's like USCIS don't really value vawa petitioners.
Like they are willingly doing it in other to discourage more people to be going through the vawa process.
Knowing fully well that we have been abused, they keep torturing us during the entire process.
Thanks for letting us know more better about the vawa consular consular processing nightmare.
Like a mother, giving birth to a child, you definitely forget everything and start dancing and chilling when early in a morning, going through your USCIS online account, you received this text message, concerning your form I-360 or your form I-485 that: "NEW CARD IN BEING PRODUCED"

Can't imagine what you had been going through this consular processing.
    Can't advice it to anybody.
Better stay in the USA for your adjustment of status through vawa.
    Stay strong 💪💪💪

Not even you chose or thought about doing VAWA abroad 😂. It just so happens that VAWA permits that discretionary benefit to those “stuck” without options.
It’s never a guaranteed approval ..therefore definitely not worth considering.
Glad you survived…many in IR or K-1 categories waiting alongside you.

To anyone who’s thinking of doing their immigration process abroad, do your best to stay and adjust status in the US. Never try consular processing for vawa. it’s the worst experience ever for vawa petitioners abroad. The process for consular processing takes forever for vawa applicants. You will be stuck abroad for years.

Here is link to I-864 W and instructions..read and get familiar w it.
Simply put, you made a mistake doing I-864 as both  you ( principal ) and your child ( derivative) of I-360 VAWA are exempt ( excused ) from I-864 obligations.

Not a big deal, just do the form and mark 1.d on page 2. Your child is applying for visa based on your approved VAWA, that is why her age is frozen and will not age out. Category is fine ( u were the abused spouse of USC..

They only RFE if they need missing documents or a further explanation on a certain info. There’s no set time to when they send an RFE, sometimes even after the listed processing time has passed. And sometimes they don’t send any RFE. I never got an RFE from them

I honestly sent all the evidence I didn’t wanna wait for RFE because I didn’t want any further delays. But in your case, it will depends on the reviewing officer if he finds the evidence you submitted enough or not.

i don’t know about the dui and traveling, I don’t know if it will affect your travel at this point but hopefully other members can help with this info. You should also consult your attorney

    Hello everyone,
Remember my i485 was denied because the officer said I didn’t properly file the waiver and didn’t submit the i601 receipt notice with a receipt number on it as per RFE. The fact is that I submitted the i601 waiver package and it got returned with a notice saying
« your application /petition is being returned as it is not needed at this moment »,
I sent that notice to the local office but apparently the officer ignored it or didn’t receive it while making decision on my petition . I submit a motion to reconsider last April, and yesterday I decided to go to the local office with an INFOPASS appointment to explain my situation. The supervisor came, I explained to her the situation and she took the proofs of the notice from uscis saying my application was returned and don’t need a waiver and proof of mailing it to the officer. She went inside and after 15min she came out and told me they have assigned my case to an officer for review, hoping I get approved now🙏🏾.
