Anyone live in California and want to meet up to drink our sorrows away?
Ugh I wish. I’m in Mass and no one in my life (besides my fiance) can understand the pain

Today was definitely a slow day. We closed it out at 36 (+22) total updates, with the end of the day being mostly approvals that came through. Here's to hoping it was just a slight hiccup and not an indication of a new trend.
What the actual **** is going on?! This makes 0 sense. I wish we could do something

In the March group people are predicting April won’t even be done by the end of June. At this point nothing can disappoint me any further

The final numbers are 55 (+9) updates for the day. A slow end to the day, and we'll likely see a small day tomorrow as the USCIS historically doesn't do much on Fridays.
See you all tomorrow!Horrendous. What is their excuse this time???? I can’t even let myself get my hopes up anymore because it’s ruining my mental health.

I second this! Maybe we can send @dalindeck some coffee money through venmo or something. We appreciate your hard work and I know it isn’t easy

Yes, when I saw that, I thought, it was some error, and then checked those cases individually, they are real cases that are for some reason left open.
Are they WAC cases though? I think the heavy criminal background cases get transferred to Vermont service center which takes almost twice as long to get NOA2.

HAH that's exactly what I was thinking too. they probably click click click send.
April 26th
I’m also April 26! My inquiry said “we regret to inform you that we do not have a timeframe for when your case will be adjusted” 🙄
But if yours is under active review, that sounds like a much better reply than the one I got!

I sent in a case inquiry last week and just got this:
On 01/02/2022, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* shortly.
*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice , Request for Evidence, or Notice of Intent to Deny.
We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience. So do I understand it correctly that they're actively looking at our case now? or is this one of the same wishy-washy-BS-answers?
What received date are you?

In no way am I calling this efficient, it's just that the whole situation is so incredibly sad that I'm forced to find positivity from somewhere. At least, processing around 45 cases a day shows that the I-129F staff does exist, it's just that they're not working on March cases and haven't been for months.
See the chart here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lAwW6yWDnqV4C7D9ZC0hYurgg1DCPeMMacoXHD6LTHM/htmlview?fbclid=IwAR1LfCCgwDWERU8pofaZQPFXa9-zWuzBczgGt3zp1l_0OTsNoRleGy5l_iU
Does anyone know why they aren’t working on K1s?

I got an alert on my phone just now of a status change close to my case. It's an RFE. I'm April 19 NOA1.
I'm kinda hopeful, although, I know they are "working" on April 5.
Really? I’m not sure what that means. Does the app alert you when cases within the same group as you are being looked at?

There are a ridiculous amount of March filers in general 😂 I guess everyone had the same idea that the pandemic was dying down and it’s a good time to apply. Happy to see the approvals rolling in today

Slowly I am starting to lose hope regarding Legal Immigration process in US.
One of my former co-workers, moved back home to Germany after we submitted K1 (May 2021) application.
He (German citizen) and his fiance(Chinese), were finished in less than 4 months with their process for her to emigrate to Germany, she also got work permit and everything done in less than 4 months ?!?!? And all that in mids of Covid!
It was like gut punch for me. How the h*ll is USCIS so slow. My fiance and I are literally clear case as it gets, same age, 4 years of relationship, lived together for 1 year, first marriage for both of us. only due to covid we didn't managed to get married in 2019.
Now our life is literally on hold.
So disappointed in US immigration system. There is literally 0 excuse for this waiting period.
I’m so sorry. I’m in the same exact situation and it’s making me so upset. I can relate 100% to you! I feel like our lives are on hold too. My fiancé and I are just finishing grad school and I feel awful that he has to wait to find a job once he gets here. The waiting never ends and I’m just so hopeless right now.

Usually, if it's currently with an officer, it will be adjudicated fairly quickly; most people with your inquiry response got an update shortly thereafter, and the number was either 30, 45, or 90 days. It appears to be random. But nonetheless, that puts it squarely within the 10-12 months I've believed these are takin
Ok there were just 10 cases touched today. HOW is this possible? At this rate it will take another half a year to get through March. HOW AND WHY???!!! I seriously feel sick.

Are there dedicated officers for each petition? To the second point, I was always seeing approvals start at 9am sharp and last week was the first where they came through earlier so I was confused.
I’m not entirely sure. I actually think that officers were pulled from working with k1 to work on some of the special emergency visas (especially when the Afghan crisis). I always assumed they started working at 9 AM too but google says otherwise!

Tomorrow starts our first processing day of 2022! Here’s to more normality, with people back to work and ready to bring March filers joy. Question - do they begin at 8am California time or 9? I always thought 9, but last week approvals came in at 8 and everyone told me I was wrong.
I checked the hours for California service center and it says 8:00 AM but I’m not sure it K1 visa agents actually start working at that time.
