Hello folks! Just thought of sharing you an update for my wife's green card.

Apr. 8- Wife activated her Immigrant Visa at YVR
Apr. 12- I paid green card fee
Apr 13- Received email from USCIS acknowledgement of the payment stating they received it on Apr 12 and assigning case # IOE.
Since I have account on uscis https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do (different to myuscis acct). I logged and added the case # IOE.
    Apr. 18- Wife received SSN
Jun 4- Received email, UCSIC approved production of card
Jun 7- Received email USCIS status: Card/Document Production
Jun 8- Received email USCIS status: Post Office picked up mail. Provided tracking number and link with usps
Jun 10- Received physical Green Card.

Total days from acknowledgement date to date received physical Green Card- 59 calendar days
Total working days from Apr 13 to date- 42 days

I suggest to all to create an account on the link above in able for you to add the case number. You will not only able to use this at Green Card process but as well as when you apply for Naturalization so you will have an update whenever USCIS made actions to your case.
Also I suggest to create an account with USPS so you will know informed delivery for your upcoming mails or package for the incoming day.

Hope this gives idea to all.

Note everybody may encounter different processing time on receiving SSN & GC. PLEASE read previous post from others and take note what were their advices if you didn't receive your SSN in a week or two and for GC if you didn't receive it after 90 days.

    Hi all,

I had my interview this morning (June 1) and was approved. The VJ forum has been immensely helpful to me throughout this journey and I thought I would share my experience in case it would benefit anyone else. Please let me know if I should post this in a different forum instead.

For the most part, my interview experience was quite similar to what other VJers have shared. Here's a rough order of events:
Arrive ~5 min prior to your appointment time. They would not let you in before that. My interview was at 7:45am; I got there at 7:40 and there were a bunch of people lining up in front of me with appointment times at 8 or later. They let me in and the rest had to wait outside until it's almost their scheduled time. Check in and security check - they issue you a ticket number at check in and put a sticker at the back of your passport (I believe for shipping purposes). They have tiny lockers to store things like cellphone, car keys, smart watches, etc. Do not bring any big electronics or big purses.  1st call to the window: provide documentation (see more below) and answer some basic questions 2nd call to the window: oath, Q&A, return of documents and next steps Documents requested:
Ticket number (that you received at check in) Interview letter  Passport  Marriage certificate Birth certificate  Police certificate (note: the officer asked whether I had an updated police certificate for Canada as mine was done in March 2021. I said no as my understanding is it is valid for 2 years. He did not make any comment to my statement, but he did step away to speak to someone else, presumably about this. It made me super nervous while I was waiting for them to review my documents!! But this never came up when I was called back for the second time for the actual interview so I guess it was not an issue) Updated tax forms for the petitioner (my husband has not yet received his 2021 tax transcript, so I gave them his 2021 tax return and 2021 W2 and there were no issues) 1 passport photo, which they returned to me after scanning Q&A
Your name / DOB  Your petitioner's name, what he does for work, status in the US Address where you will be staying in the US  When/where did you get married (anniversary date), how did you meet and how long have you known each other  Is this you / your husband's first marriage Do you / your husband have any children What do you do for work Where have you travelled to in the last 5 years  What is the longest period (approximately) you've stayed in the US  Have you ever been arrested / denied for entry / turned around at the border  Any questions about the pamphlet At the end of the interview, the officer said they would be issuing me a visa and I should expect to get my passport back within 2 weeks. They kept my passport and the original police certificates and gave me back my marriage/birth certificates. The officer told me it would take about 2 weeks to get my passport back but I already received a tracking number at noon ET today with ETA of June 3, what a pleasant surprise! It was such a relief to get this over with!

Final thoughts: I was extremely anxious (couldn't sleep much leading up to the interview) and kept worrying about whether I've missed anything. Turns out that things will eventually work out as long as you do your homework (which you definitely are if you are in this forum). Good luck all!!

P.S. I have not provided my timeline as mine was a bit distorted given I was initially in the F2A category and was only upgraded to IR1 recently when my husband became a US citizen. Happy to answer any questions if it would be helpful though.

so I got a conditional expedite. They will speed up scheduling of interview for dad but NVC still has to review docs first. my goal was to have both parents attend same interview date but that doesn't seem possible in this scenario.

I understand that NVC has to double check and make sure everything is in order but I'm waiting for them to review one document for Dad. Mum was approved for the same docs but they needed more info from me for dad.. which as it turns out isn't applicable in this case. SO yes, I'm waiting for NVC to review a one line message saying ' I cant give you guys this, I have uploaded everything you need as the attached case was approved with the very same documents.'

    Annoying.

It sounds like a conditional expedite. I am in the same boat for my dads application.

We still have to wait for NVC to review and accept the uploaded documents before the embassy will schedule us for an interview. All the documents that you uploaded should say 'accepted' instead of 'submitted'.

I don't understand how that is considered expedited, I guess it just eliminates the wait between being DQ and getting IL.

As of now NVC is reviewing docs submitted on Feb 21... so 7 more weeks to go based on your mid April date before you hear back from NVC. Pray all documents get accepted and you do not get any follow up from them, as that essentially restarts the clock

so yesterday, after the whole day of waiting on the phone, finally connected with someone at NVC and they guided me how to draft the email etc. Keeping fingers crossed that things are expedited for dad. They seemed to think I had a valid reason to request the expedite. lets see!!

Got the IL this morning. Interview set for June 1. Will update timeline accordingly. Does anyone recommend Dr. Mascarenhas in Toronto over Dr. Zatzman in Vaughan (or other way)? Anyone recently had there medical done and knows how quick the turnaround time is at either?

DQ Nov 19th, still waiting for IL. Hopefully this month I get it  pretty frustrating getting skipped almost 3 times.
Having said that, i want to prepare myself.
I can't find this information anywhere, hopefully someone can help.
I had all the vaccines back home, but do not have any documentations. What is the best way to go about in my situation?
