Congrats to all the approvals. 
So I got my greencard Yay!! It’s been 3 weeks. 
I thought after getting your green card you get a new social security Card, without the DHS thing on it. My lawyer has been the 1 receiving all my mails, he says for the SS card they will send it directly to me but I haven’t received anything. 
 

i called the social security office and they told me I have to be a US citizen before that DHS authorization is taken off my card which isn’t true. I called my lawyer he is not saying anything. 
Any thoughts on what I should do. Am almost done with school and need to apply for jobs which I should be ok with a GC but I need the SS card too. Do I wait or just go to the social security office.

1st RFE for 485 for birth certificate: 3/9/2022

2nd RFE for Medicals: 9/3/2022

Medicals sent: 9/10/2022

New card produced: today 9/16/2022

I applied for adjustment of status in March. 
and I’m abt done with school and need to take my NCLEX so I told the congressman’s office. They sent her an email saying that’s not enough prove that I’m in distress and I could send a letter to the director of my field office if I have other issues. 
   Yesterday my lawyer called saying he got a letter for interview and it was sent out same day they told the congressman’s office that they couldn’t rush my case when others have been waiting. 
 

So I don’t know what changed their minds after they sent the email saying I had to wait cuz others are before me. I don’t know what happened. And they only gave me 2 weeks to prepare.

…, we can request that your case be further reviewed, but the officer I spoke with shared that this is not a favorable option that they would advise as it will take you out of the placement you are currently in and will likely lead to delays in your case being assigned to an officer.

I will share that USCIS did state that your case has not yet been assigned to an officer and is still in line to be assigned so it’s likely that, when we are able to receive a response from USCIS, it won’t be too much more informative than what they shared over the phone with us.

More them 4 years and no one assigned my case ???!!!!
I didn’t know asking the senator to reach out USCIS will delay my case to be assigned . IS IT REAL ?

I don’t think that’s valid information. The congress persons office helps a lot. Depending on who is handling your case . I’ve used them with Vawa and now with adjustment of status, and my interview got scheduled, although they gave me only 2 weeks to prepare. I still appreciate it.

i finally got a letter for my interview. They only gave me 2 weeks to prepare, and get medical and all that. I’m so nervous. 
mom hoping they don’t ask me questions abt vawa. Makes me hurt all over again. 
 It states on the letter that the interview will be video taped is that normal?

PD- Dec 2019 Concurrent filing. 3 Prima facie. No RFE. Interview was good and Thankfully my lawyer came with me so that helped me a lot. My GC was approved same day after interview. God is Great. If they want they can reuse your older fingerprint without asking you to get new fingerprint from ASC.

If I may ask , how long after they reused your fingerprints did you receive a work permit. I do have 1 now that will expire in January. I just want to know in case I have to renew under C31 or wait for this under C09 .

Hello everyone. Happy to see the approvals. God is Great. 
I have a question. So after the approval of my I-360 this February, I filled for my I-485 and I-765 this March. In May 4 th I got an update for fingerprint has been applied on I-485 but it didn’t apply to my work permit. Is that normal? 
 

Also I did not go for fingerprints, I think they used my last 1 from 2018, which is weird, that’s more than 2 years. I was thinking I’ll get a mail about new fingerprints and go for a new one. 
How long do I wait for interview after finger prints?

is it possible to not be able to work until your Vawa is actually approved. That’s even after your C31 has been approved? 
 

I tried to renew my CNA LICENSE and the department of health tells me they can’t verify my approval on SAVE. That it still comes back that I can’t work. I have sent an email to the congress person’s office and might wait a couple of weeks. 
 

but I don’t understand why I have an approved C31 and an approval letter and still can’t get verified. C31 was approved January 07/2022.  Still don’t have approval for VAWA.

Hello everyone. 
so I finally got my EAD card today. My lawyer mentioned that they sent me 2 cards instead of 1. 
which is kind of weird. The C31 is valid for 1 year. 
 

Anyone knows how long it will take for me to get approval notice for I -360, so I can go on and file for I-485 and a combo card?  Or can I file while the approval for I-360 is pending ?

When the person has a weak case most lawyers advise to wait the VAWA decision, but if your case is strong and your spouse is a U.S Citizen then you can file for adjustment of status now. If you need to work then you must have a  work permit.If you worked without EAD before filing VAWA the USCIS will forgive you, but don't break the Law now.

Do not hesitate to file along with your I-485, the I-765 (under C09 category) along with the form I-131. 

So, you will receive a combo card while waiting for your case to process.

I haven’t filled for I -485 yet. My lawyer had advised I wait for vawa to be approved. C31

C31 filed May 2019. 
No RFE 

I sent in whatever I got every time without them asking. 
Had 5 PF 

Card being produced 01/07/2022. 
 

Used PF for school. Depends on the school. 
 
Don’t know how long it will take for me to get it.
