Hello , Congrats to all the approvals. So I got my greencard Yay!! It’s been 3 weeks. I thought after getting your green card you get a new social security Card, without the DHS thing on it. My lawyer has been the 1 receiving all my mails, he says for the SS card they will send it directly to me but I haven’t received anything. i called the social security office and they told me I have to be a US citizen before that DHS authorization is taken off my card which isn’t true. I called my lawyer he is not saying anything. Any thoughts on what I should do. Am almost done with school and need to apply for jobs which I should be ok with a GC but I need the SS card too. Do I wait or just go to the social security office.

I applied for adjustment of status in March. and I’m abt done with school and need to take my NCLEX so I told the congressman’s office. They sent her an email saying that’s not enough prove that I’m in distress and I could send a letter to the director of my field office if I have other issues. Yesterday my lawyer called saying he got a letter for interview and it was sent out same day they told the congressman’s office that they couldn’t rush my case when others have been waiting. So I don’t know what changed their minds after they sent the email saying I had to wait cuz others are before me. I don’t know what happened. And they only gave me 2 weeks to prepare.

I don’t think that’s valid information. The congress persons office helps a lot. Depending on who is handling your case . I’ve used them with Vawa and now with adjustment of status, and my interview got scheduled, although they gave me only 2 weeks to prepare. I still appreciate it.

Hello everyone. congratulations to all the approvals . God is amazing. i finally got a letter for my interview. They only gave me 2 weeks to prepare, and get medical and all that. I’m so nervous. mom hoping they don’t ask me questions abt vawa. Makes me hurt all over again. It states on the letter that the interview will be video taped is that normal?

So I got this today. Does it mean I should get ready for interview?Or does it mean they just moved my case to some other office? I guess I should wait for the notice . Lol i filed March 2022.

If I may ask , how long after they reused your fingerprints did you receive a work permit. I do have 1 now that will expire in January. I just want to know in case I have to renew under C31 or wait for this under C09 . thank you.

Hello everyone. Happy to see the approvals. God is Great. I have a question. So after the approval of my I-360 this February, I filled for my I-485 and I-765 this March. In May 4 th I got an update for fingerprint has been applied on I-485 but it didn’t apply to my work permit. Is that normal? Also I did not go for fingerprints, I think they used my last 1 from 2018, which is weird, that’s more than 2 years. I was thinking I’ll get a mail about new fingerprints and go for a new one. How long do I wait for interview after finger prints? Thank you for your answers.
