orlarose got a reaction from Khloe20 in Has anyone got a CR1 visa after a K1?
Hey! I applied for my I130 through my husband in April 2021. To this date I still dont have my visa in hand, 16 months later.
Our case was approved March 12th 2022 after I filed a K3 additionally (which really helped) , it was then received by the NVC on April 29 2022.
Currently the NVC are working on the 13th of April so we are hoping to hear good news in the next few weeks.

I booked my medical in the Mater hospital 2 months ago (even without my embassy appointment) as I wanted to have everything I need the second we get an embassy appointment.
There is a 3 month wait for a medical appointment.

The purpose of telling you our timeline is to give you a real current representation of how long its taking.
It is heartbreakingly stressful but it will be worth it.
If you want to ask more questions you would sooner get me on instagram.

orlarose got a reaction from Chancy in Updated Visa Medical Appointment Info - Dublin 2022
    Hi all,
I just wanted to provide my version of events to keep everyone updated on how my visa medical appointment went in Dublin, Ireland.

I went to the Mater Private in Newenham House, Dublin.
When I called for an appointment it was April & I got a date for July which I thought would line up well with the NVC approval.
I had my appointment today 13th of July 2022 (NVC are currently working on April 26th cases, we are April 29th)
So I attended the appointment prior to the embassy interview.

The medical center said thats totally fine to book a medical appointment ahead of time, the embassy actually prefers that.
You just need to have your NVC case number. Funnily, my attorney advised against attending medical first, I am glad I stuck to my guns on this.

They did add the HepB course of injections as a new requirement. I was told prior to the appointment I probably wouldn't need it the HepB as my appt was booked before the requirement came in, however the embassy can decide how they feel about it on the day and make issue if they chose.
So the doctor advised me to follow through with the course ( I had already gotten the first ).

The medical included - chest xray, blood test (syphilis testing), height, weight, blood pressure, listening test, eyesight test, medical history, vaccination history & general chat.
    The appointment took 1.5 hours.

They didnt do a urine sample & they didnt take my passport photos, they took their own on the day.

    Happy to answer any questions.

You'll be doing yourself a huge service if you read back through this thread, as you'll find many of your present and future questions have been answered already.

At the interview ask for a certified copy of your passport to take to your medical.

I was DQ'd in mid January and received an interview date about 3 and a half weeks later. The interview was scheduled for March 3rd, I couldn't get a medical until March 22nd but after many calls, I got a cancellation for March 11th.

I was able to schedule the medical without my interview, you need your DBL number. Because I did not have my medical completed at the interview they gave me a 221-G and my passport back and on it noted that as soon as I completed my medical to courier my passport there and when they receive my medical results, I should receive my passport back.

This is the maters email: visacentre@materprivate.ie

They have relocated to Cherrywood Business Park, they are very helpful there. But make sure you have all of your vaccinations in order, there is no leeway with those.

    All the best!
