Hi all,
I just wanted to provide my version of events to keep everyone updated on how my visa medical appointment went in Dublin, Ireland.
I went to the Mater Private in Newenham House, Dublin.
When I called for an appointment it was April & I got a date for July which I thought would line up well with the NVC approval.
I had my appointment today 13th of July 2022 (NVC are currently working on April 26th cases, we are April 29th)
So I attended the appointment prior to the embassy interview.
The medical center said thats totally fine to book a medical appointment ahead of time, the embassy actually prefers that.
You just need to have your NVC case number. Funnily, my attorney advised against attending medical first, I am glad I stuck to my guns on this.
They did add the HepB course of injections as a new requirement. I was told prior to the appointment I probably wouldn't need it the HepB as my appt was booked before the requirement came in, however the embassy can decide how they feel about it on the day and make issue if they chose.
So the doctor advised me to follow through with the course ( I had already gotten the first ).
The medical included - chest xray, blood test (syphilis testing), height, weight, blood pressure, listening test, eyesight test, medical history, vaccination history & general chat.
The appointment took 1.5 hours.
They didnt do a urine sample & they didnt take my passport photos, they took their own on the day.
Happy to answer any questions.
