  1. Just letting you know I had my medical yesterday and it went great. I also was super super lucky and got document qualified yesterday too. It was at NVC for exactly 76 days.
  2. Hi all, I just wanted to provide my version of events to keep everyone updated on how my visa medical appointment went in Dublin, Ireland. I went to the Mater Private in Newenham House, Dublin. When I called for an appointment it was April & I got a date for July which I thought would line up well with the NVC approval. I had my appointment today 13th of July 2022 (NVC are currently working on April 26th cases, we are April 29th) So I attended the appointment prior to the embassy interview. The medical center said thats totally fine to book a medical appointment ahead of time, the embassy actually prefers that. You just need to have your NVC case number. Funnily, my attorney advised against attending medical first, I am glad I stuck to my guns on this. They did add the HepB course of injections as a new requirement. I was told prior to the appointment I probably wouldn't need it the HepB as my appt was booked before the requirement came in, however the embassy can decide how they feel about it on the day and make issue if they chose. So the doctor advised me to follow through with the course ( I had already gotten the first ). The medical included - chest xray, blood test (syphilis testing), height, weight, blood pressure, listening test, eyesight test, medical history, vaccination history & general chat. The appointment took 1.5 hours. They didnt do a urine sample & they didnt take my passport photos, they took their own on the day. Happy to answer any questions.
  3. Just popping in here that I was speaking to the Mater re appointments last week. They are now dishing out appointments for October as their soonest opening. I am not yet NVC DQ but I have mine booked for next Wednesday. The NVC is currently working on April 21st 2022 and we are April 29th. Hoping I have done this in good order & that the end is in sight. So mentally exhausting.
  4. Please do! I am getting tetanus + HepB today 😕
  5. I was told by a woman from the Mater that because I had my medical booked before it came into effect I may not need it. I have my medical on July 13th, I am getting my first dose of HepB today just to cover my bum. Ill ask at the medical and let you know!
  6. Hey! I applied for my I130 through my husband in April 2021. To this date I still dont have my visa in hand, 16 months later. Our case was approved March 12th 2022 after I filed a K3 additionally (which really helped) , it was then received by the NVC on April 29 2022. Currently the NVC are working on the 13th of April so we are hoping to hear good news in the next few weeks. I booked my medical in the Mater hospital 2 months ago (even without my embassy appointment) as I wanted to have everything I need the second we get an embassy appointment. There is a 3 month wait for a medical appointment. The purpose of telling you our timeline is to give you a real current representation of how long its taking. It is heartbreakingly stressful but it will be worth it. If you want to ask more questions you would sooner get me on instagram. -> omcguinnessodonnell_
