Slowly I am starting to lose hope regarding Legal Immigration process in US.

One of my former co-workers, moved back home to Germany after we submitted K1 (May 2021) application.

He (German citizen) and his fiance(Chinese), were finished in less than 4 months with their process for her to emigrate to Germany, she also got work permit and everything done in less than 4 months ?!?!?  And all that in mids of Covid!

It was like gut punch for me. How the h*ll is USCIS so slow. My fiance and I are literally clear case as it gets, same age, 4 years of relationship, lived together for 1 year, first marriage for both of us. only due to covid we didn't managed to get married in 2019.

Now our life is literally on hold.

So disappointed in US immigration system. There is literally 0 excuse for this waiting period.

Could be a broken system. However, my thought is COVID cases are surging and people are out sick.  I see it even in my workplace. That might be affecting processing speeds. .

So I got a inquire response today even tho the expected response was suppose to be on the 19th of Dec  anyways this was the response I received seems generic but you guys can let me know “ According to our records, your Form I-129F petition is pending further review. While we are unable to project a specific date a decision will be rendered in your case, new correspondence can be expected shortly.” Has anyone received this response ?

I received the same response. I’m still trying to wrap my head around what it means.

Lots of good news for March filers today, Facebook group showed over 100 cases from late February/early March approved. I've seen approvals with NOA1s as late as March 18(ish), though that one appears to be expedited so take it with a grain of salt. Safe to say that if you're March 1-10 you're being looked at right now. This was clearly one of their busiest periods. Wonder what happened the last three weeks, then?

As an aside, I'm still yet to get a response to my inquiry last week, but with cases moving along now I'm interested in what it'll say. I feel like before we all sort of knew it would be a generic response, but perhaps we'll see something slightly different now.

Thanks for the update! We remain hopeful.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I don’t think any of us anticipated this kind of wait to see our significant other. I’m holding on to hope that something will happen, but I have to admit the wait got to me these past few days. This progress we’re seeing is just the glimmer of hope I needed.

I noticed on the case tracker app that on Nov 19, a WAC # right near mine was approved. I’m March 9, 61xxx range for reference! Hopefully that is a good sign of things to come in the next few weeks.

That’s awesome news. March 9, is my receipt date and birthday. 😅 Hopefully we’ll see an approval soon.

Especially in this thread, we need more empathy, not these cold brutal replies. Of course people need to hear honest truth, but it'd be nice if you could be encouraging about it.

My message to lb119397 keep the hope alive! One day very soon in the near future you will be with your loved one sitting by a fireplace with hot chocolate after a long day of skiing. You will think how it's all been worth it and how far you've come in your life. Be patient, good things coming.

Thank you for this. The encouragement and positivity was why I joined VJ. We can certainly pick up a few lessons from the other groups who are super supportive to each other. We are all in this together. Stay strong everyone! I can’t wait to hear one of us say that their case has been approved.

Hi All! So I am actually an April filer, but I'm obviously interested in how March is doing since it's the month before mine. There are 3 of us that run the numbers and post regular charts in April and I know February has a chart, but I hadn't really seen a chart in March, so I made one just to see (be warned, I do not intend to run it very often as it isn't my month. Please message me if you'd like a copy to run the numbers yourselves in the Case Tracker App).

February basically spans the 50000-60000 case numbers and in April we fall between 69000 to about 81500 so we keep a close eye on the 70000-80000 range. In this chart I have run the 57000-69500 numbers which is where most March filers fall. I hope this is helpful info for everyone and I hope to see your cases moving soon!

This is great! Thanks for the chart.

Today 237 days waiting Jesus Christ im sooo nervous, restless, anxious😪😭

I hear you. Stay strong. I’ve hit refresh more than I’ve done in past months. I try to keep distracted with activities that keep me happy. We can only do what’s within our control like submit that outside processing time request. I just hope they gain momentum again.

Hey everyone! I assume the silence of this thread means that nobody's heard anything yet, but the inquiry date has advanced to March 10th and I presume some of you will (or already have) file(d) inquiry requests. Do we know anything of what's going on? Also, to make abundantly sure, we can submit an inquiry as soon as our "received date" matches the date on USCIS' website, yes?

It's interesting that literally none of us have any updates, not even a few cases here or there...

Edit: I've also noticed somewhat of a discrepancy: on myUSCIS, my case status gives a date in early April but underneath says my package was received in March; this also aligns the received date printed on my NOA1 (notice date is the same as the April one, received is March). However, when I press 'case history' on myUSCIS, only the April date is visible. My WAC is very clearly March; should I be concerned about this for purposes of the inquiry?

I just logged in and I see the same on mine as well. Two different “received” dates. Quite confusing.

I was debating joining the FB group to see there, because we’ve been pretty silent here! That scares me because if enough March people start filing for a case inquiry, they may push that date back... right now if it’s March 5, and nobody’s gotten anything yet, that’s concerning.

    I have hope, though!

Yea I know the suspense is a lot to handle and the silence doesn’t make it better. I think if we had more visibility on the progress at the CA service center it would help. Hopefully someone will be kind enough to share a march excel sheet with the numbers. Fingers crossed for some good news by the end of this week! Let us know if get any info from the FB group.
