This week was subpar to say the least but I’ll take it compared to the 30-50 cases per day average we had in January. Praying for faster processing going forward as the processing center gets into the year.

For everyone with families in Ukraine, my prayers are with you and your families. I can’t possibly imagine what you guys are going thru.

My stomach is in knots as I write the afternoon update for today. What is happening in Ukraine is unspeakable and the fact that I am powerless to do more than watch in disgust is crippling me.

It looks like things will be hard in Kyiv tonight, I am so sorry for those of you with people in the country, my heart is with you.

Got it. Stay safe! We'll all get through this and it will make the relationship with our SOs that much stronger once this thing is over and they are with us!

Appreciate it 🙏  My fiance is in a suburb near Kiev and has heard explosions/planes flying over the entire day. Can't even believe this is happening. Luckily her and her family are safe right now and we are still able to talk since internet/WhatsApp hasn't gone down.

Seeing us all here gathering and thinking what we can all do to speed up the process, has been the most reliving feeling since three months. Because when we all put our hands together, things will definitely get better. This is what I believe.
Let's do something so our voice can be heard, no one will know how our hearts are broken unless we talk.

As far as I know we don't have an official spreadsheet yet. I will randomly check for any recent changes but as we get closer we can start a formal spreadsheet.

It's awesome that you signed up! Please share if there's anything they got to say about Ukraine Not hoping for any expedites but maybe they'll give us more options than just Warsaw in case Kyiv embassy halts all visa processing.

I put in three pre-proposed questions this morning. Basically asking about Ukraine situation, how they are managing delays, and if they think they will be able to speed up timeframe for NOA2 completion or if they think it'll get worse.

thank you very much!  We are just at the beginning of our journey, noa1 July 2, and we realize that it is very difficult to wait for so long.  But reading your messages, there is always a smile and faith in good, and strength to wait!  Thanks!

Good morning/afternoon/evening all (covering the world here as my fiancee is already celebrating her evening)
I wanted to honestly tell you all that when I started packing for the move and drove, I think I checked my USCIS app only once in the evening upon arrival to my hotel (actually it was 1am arrival).  I say this because I saw that my case was not looked at, then I took a few hours nap and continued my journey.  The next time I checked was after I was unloaded and in my new place.  This is when I saw the RFE.  For me, I was definitely excited, even though I didn't jump around the place because I was tired.  I really was not expecting any information until September at the soonest just with the way the cases were being processed.  I am going to say like I've been saying as I believe nothing has changed on this forum or with our daily lives.  Keep concentrating on your future life partner, especially if you are the petitioner.  It is kind of like when both people are tasked with something, but before the 2nd person starts their task, the first has to complete their task.  We as the petitioners are completing this first task and our beneficiaries are going to be looking to us for updates and answers.  We just need to look back at them with full reassurance that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  It might seem far away, but even just a pinhole is a light and it might be far away because we can only walk and not run.  The thing is, we are all still on this journey.  It does not stop with the NOA-2.  I really really hope the best for everyone, whether you already have your NOA-2, have an RFE or are still waiting for something.
I realized after writing all of this that in the past threads to this post, I did say I felt like I was going to get an RFE.  My suggestion to the awesome couples waiting, tell yourselves as a couple that you will be approved.  Also, know that no matter what status you receive (RFE or approval) there is going to be a few days of delay to possibly receiving the paper copy (or email).  I would just check every few days or every other day and just keep saying that you are going to get approved.  Have confidence.  Don't doubt it, believe it!  And truly be strong for each other as this will not be the only life trial that you all will face together.

    Hi all,

I know there are people who will panic after their interview for the K1 visa because it goes to refused and then administrative processing, and I completely understand because it is all new.  Plus, when you see the words "refused," your heart stops and it takes your breath away in an unhealthy manner.  This information might be in the K1 Visa section of the VJ site (links above for those who want to absorb the information) but I am posting here in hopes that the people going into the interviews in the next few weeks to a month will understand what each status means:
    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/administrative-processing-information.html

There is a chance that each embassy/consulate has the same information in compacted form so the beneficiary can read in their own native tongue, but this really explained exactly the answers I would see from VJ members when someone would post this.  This might help and it might not, but I hope this gives more hope to everyone as they are going through their journey (and not just K1 but all the processes).  I would also encourage you read that 221g in its entirety.  If you read it at first and are frozen at "refused", then take a break, go outside and walk, then come back after 30 minutes and read past that "refused" line.  Sometimes it is harder to understand what they mean, but normally it says "refused" but because of more information.  Almost comparable to an RFE during the 129F process.

    Best wishes to everyone!
