I noticed a few people haven't updated the spreadsheet.  Please do so when you get a chance, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FcItCasVItCDsUNEbDu15IRQ-AbDMRJWsiljwtz5WRI/edit#gid=1497976778.

Had my combo I-751 and N-400 interview yesterday at the Tukwila Field Office and I am now a new US citizen. The officer was very thorough but nice. Both interviews happened back to back with a total amount of 45 minutes. Be patient and it's going to be your turn before you realize it. Best of luck to y'all!

July 2020 filer. I had my interview yesterday. Total time spent in interview was about 20-25 minutes. Total time the whole process took from the moment I walked inside to getting my certificate was  about 40 minutes. During the interview, they did not ask for any additional documents/evidence. They just took and kept my green card and looked through my passport. Even though I’m a lurker, I’d like to thank you all for your support!

I just got a notification this morning that my interview is scheduled for Dec! I filed on 8/3/2020. Looks like things are moving along.
My estimated complete time was 7 months yesterday, and now that I received my interview schedule it jumped to 13 months... Just don't take that estimate seriously.

I'm not a spring 2020 filler but i fully support anything to make USCIS accountable.  First with the mishandling of certain files as well as the astronomical processing times in some offices.  Totally unfair for some cases to be completed in a few months and others in years
    😏🙄let's all sign the petition.

@fairvien i'm all in on any way we can bring balance and fairness to USCIS.  They have such a wide range of processing times depending on field office and then lack of orderly processing for some people.  I feel for April and May 2020 applicants.  Maybe we can start a petition, write to Secretary Mayorkas, hire an attorney as a group etc?  Either way we need to do something!!

I believe congress rep can only help if the processing time is past the upper month range.  But it doesn't hurt to check.  I would actually do that.

Its to the point of being ridiculous. Its even more frustrating seeing that USCIS selectively chose to skip those 2 months. Apparently its the same issue across the country not just Seattle.
I’ve asked for a tier 2 callback. Let’s see what the officer says. Worst case in 3 more months it’ll be outside normal processing time and I can raise a SR similar to what I did for completing my biometrics.

I hear you, mainly April and May 2020 fillers.  That being said Seattle is still one of the slowest offices.

    Today was the day!

Seattle appointment at 10:15am, delayed slightly by a long and slow queue to get checked in.
My interview was with a very friendly officer from the Spokane office via an iPad.
In total it took about 20 minutes, and I was approved right there.

My questions were (can’t remember the exact order):
Who signs bills in to law? Name a US territory? What party is the President part of? What month do we vote for president? How long do we elect a senator for?
I had my own USCIS binder of paperwork with me (copies of all my previous filings, plus copies of birth certificates, marriage certificate, and updated bank and mortgage statements), but none were asked for. After the call was done (and I signed the final bit of paper) they took my green card and directed me back to the waiting room, letting me know it would be about an hour’s wait until I could take my oath.

In less than 10 minutes a group of six or eight of us were called in to a room and the officer checked we were all there, reading out our names from the stack of citizen ‘packs’. Then we read out the oath, and were handed our packets! All done!

She advised us to get going with our passport applications, as the wait time is like 3+ months right now (I have my appointment booked for tomorrow for some time now) and before I knew it I was back out at my car and on my way home. I registered to vote using the online form right when I got home!

I want to extend a massive thanks to everyone here;  when my dates were months away, it was awesome to follow along with you all as you made your way through the system. I wish everyone else who’s still waiting the very best and know it will all be done in time.

(My next move is to update the tracker spreadsheet!)

Call them again tomorrow, or 3 times a week. That’s how you are gonna get it done, pushing. Don’t sit and wait. Just a heads up based on past experiences.

Almost done with the journey (pending passport).
Had my interview scheduled for 7am earlier today. Was called in at about 7.05
As expected, it was a virtual one conducted by the officer based in Spokane. Since my application was spouse based - I was asked for a copy of the documents proving the marriage. So gave them Bank statement, mortgage statements, Car insurance, Tax returns. The documents were collected by the agent here, scanned and then sent to the officer in Spokane.
He then asked the 6 civics questions, followed with a series of yes/no questions. Once through, I was approved for citizenship and then he worked on getting me scheduled for Oath the same day. Was asked to leave the green card and a document that I was made to sign for the Oath ceremony - and then wait in the Hallway.
All this took about 30 minutes. In about 10-15 minutes we were called into a room for the Oath ceremony and were done by 8am.
I already had my Drivers license appointment pre-booked for converting it to EDL, and also my passport appointment at the post office. Done with both in a breeze.
With the final wait of few more months for the passport the immigration journey will be over.

Okay guys, i am done with the naturalization interview!!! And now waiting for the oath ceremony to be scheduled. Interview experiences helped me with a lot of my anxiety so hopefully this experience can help others out.

For some background, I am in Houston, naturalization based on 3-year marriage.

    Biometrics - feb 21
Interview scheduled letter :. July 30
    Interview Date : September 3

Since i applied based on marriage my naturalization application had photos, utility bills, joint taxes, joint bank account, joint auto insurance, health insurance, ID showing same address .

I took even more stuff with me, like more photos, recent tax return, update auto and health insurance cards, recent bank statements. I wasnt asked for any of these.  Infact the only thing i got asked were my passport, green card, ID and my appointment letter. All which were given back at the end of the interview.

Okay so, went inside like 10 mins before my interview time. Got through security, got my biometrics done. And was told to wait. Didn't take long actually, was called in like 10 mins.
The interviewer was stern, not very friendly but professional. There wasnt much chit chat, she asked me to take the oath and be seated. Asked for the above-mentioned docs and went straight to the questions.

    1) What did the emancipation proclamation do?
    2) who signs bills to become laws
    3) what happened at the constitution convention
    4) what is the supreme law of the land
    5) how many amendments does the constitution have
    6) why does the flag have 13 stripes .

Reading: how many senators do we have?
    Written: people want to vote.

Afte that she just asked me questions from the N-400.  The yes/no questions.
No dates except for my birth.
    Where my husband was born.
    Where i was born etc.
I was born in Pakistan but am Portuguese citizen so that came up, but it was just i think curiosity since she asked me that in the end after everything . After that she made me confirm my info on the tablet and that was it. I was told that i would be recommended for approval and to wait for the oath ceremony. Got a letter for that and i was done. The atmosphere changed as soon as she said that, mostly cuz i was just relieved and she could tell and she was happy for me too. The whole thing lasted about 30 mins. I checked an hour later to see status changed to oath ceremony will be scheduled!

So whew , i am done with this, one last step of waiting. To everyone who have their interview coming up, good luck! And hope this helps.

Well, not even 24hrs after I joked about being a week out, when I signed in to check just now I discovered my interview has been scheduled! Hooray!

    Tuesday Sep 28 @ 10:15am in Tukwila

Mine also has the Spokane Field Office address at the bottom of my letter, like @swadesi above.

Note: no email or text notification, I was just doing my daily 'I wonder if anything has changed' logging in and saw the update.
